Tim almost stumbling upon THE culture splitting, earth shaking topic of "what do you call a bread roll in Manchester". Sadly he was wrong about it being "chip butty", but I applaud his efforts. Also his British accent is so good 👌
tim rogers being an experienced cinephile all while being an encyclopedia of video games is admiring yet scary with how much he knows. I can't even imagine how many books he's read, tv shows he's seen, etc.
echoes of wisdom is no less of a baby game than any non BOTW/TOTK zelda game released post NES era. in fact, it’s probably the most complex 2D zelda depending on how you play. i super did not like that point that was made. i agree with princess peach showtime, but ascribing that to echoes of wisdom is really unfair.
Is it? Echoes of Wisdom is a game for children. And anyone "smashing their heads against the wall" will get through it with brute force .. because the game is designed for children, the puzzles aren't hard, and you always have the tools to do anything. The comparison is apt, as the game doesn't even have a narrative worth remembering.
A bit buffled but how Zelda Echoes of Wisdom is treated here...I m finding it delightful and smart, and no, it doesn't run so bad as people say, it's perfectly fine. Then, I definitely want more games with Zelda and Peach and all other female characters as main characters being badass and challenging games. But cmon, considering Echoes of Wisdom this way it's definitely beneath these speakers (who I appreciate very much, this is just a contained critique towards this specific subject here)
Nintendo could make a really great game starring a female protagonist, and both kids and adults alike would be challenged. And that game would be called Famicom Detective Club: Lost Memories in the Snow. Not in its original state ofc. Since from what I hear that game isn't even engaging as an adv since investigation sections don't matter because the game lets you automatically progress. Aside from that, no mention of Spirit Tracks is insane
Ursula K Le Guin mention ‼️
No mention of El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron for question 1?
Insert Credit fell off... First thing that came to mind
I listen to the end
if I don't hear that sweet "game over, yeahh" riff then the week is empty
14:00 I've been enjoying Islands of Caliph, which is a pretty sweet dungeon crawler based on Islamic folklore and mythology
thanks as always everyone, another great issue🎉

@@Big_Dai all zelda games are games for children. be forreal
Some good vocal chuckles from this one, a great episode
is the drop frames thing really important though? i mean, outside the fighting game, online multiplayer situation?
Tim Rogers, I've also seen all those flix. The anime was great but og Metropolis is my favorite.

Checking out of JJK during the Shibuya Incident is a bold take.
This episode fucking rocks I love Ash as a host
Don't tread on me
I feel like dishonored 2 is a good example of a female role that is the same as playing the same role. But not Nintendo so I guess it's mute
