Dreams Come True is a remake of an S.E.S song a SM 1st gen GG. So that could explain the grammatical errors. SM has really been into remastering their old MVs. Lol I never actually read the lyrics until now had the exact same thoughts as you
@ladylunare Nylon Beat made a Finnish version and an English version, SM bought it for S.E.S and has had Girls Generation and Red Velvet cover it (Red Velvet was a collab with Twice) and now Aespa has made this version. I'm sure there are more that I'm missing.....
I’ll Make You Cry is my all time favorite song from Aespa and will probably be for a long time. The vocals, the message, the intensity, and the groove made Aespa one of my favorite 4th gen groups.
I haven't even watched the video yet but I already know that you'll be confuse with the rap part of Dream Come True. SES is the original singer of that song, SM's first girl group, I think K-pop's first ever girl group. It was released in 1998, and it was from SM, of course there will be something odd, but IT'S ICONIC
As a first gen fan, Ses Is the 2nd group to debut, the very FIRST group to debut is baby vox. Ses is just the very first girl group to have success and they bare the gold standard to which all girl groups are build on now currently. All ur favorite girl groups are trained, and form under the standards and principles that ses build and set.
And before SES, Dreams Come True was sung by Nylon Beat in 1996, titled "Rakastuin mä Looseriin", then re-released in English titled "Like a Fool" in 1998, not long before SES remade it. Nylon Beat didn't do any rapping, though, that was SES's idea. So basically the song has 4 versions :)
These girls can sing! “Forever” is actually a cover of a pre-existing song and “Dreams Come True” is originally a song by S.E.S. (SM’s first girl group) that was “remade” for æspa. That’s why those songs are both very different from the rest of æspa’s discography in terms of both concept and sound.
I think girls is my fav aespa song IDK WHY PPLE DONT LIKE IT THAT MUCH ITS AMAZING The difference between the instruments and raps and vocals and production is incredible! WHAT A MASTERPIECE
Winter is easily my bias. You should see compilations of her being an absolute clown on reality shows and vlive. And Girls is my favourite song so far.
I really appreciate your opinion about wanting them to be a bit more aggressive w Girls. I honestly feel like they have such great potential to showcase how good they are at dancing but something seems to be holding them back. They also have some of the best vocals of 4th gen kpop so they can really show tf out! As always Yetti, loved the reaction !! Hope you’re doing well ❤
I think it might be just a development thing, they have barely been around. growth is fun to see. It might also be the concept, playing a character can stunt their presentation.
@@Yetti. I agree to your opinion about wanting their moves to be more sharper and aggressive, Karina said in an interview during Savage era that unlike with Black Mamba were they're more focused on being synchronised this time they're focus on showcasing their individual style. It's nice if you watch them individually but for a group performance I'm not a fan of the decision. They have such varying style in terms of execution so there are times where it looks very unsync or lacking. Karina is very powerful with her execution, Winter is a textbook dancer so her execution is very clean, a bit sharp but very controlled and balance, Ningning is a performer so she will charm the camera and her audience which you can very much see in her expressions same goes to Giselle but she's a bit more sultry? not sure if that's the perfect word for it but there's sexiness but also cuteness since she's always smiling as compared to the others.
If u watch The SMP channel u’ll see that the demo(s) that made up girls choreography are quite hard and aggressive. SM dialed back the intensity coz that would make the choreography too hard.
@@Yetti. its not a developmental thing, aespa has been training for 4 years before they debut, except giselle, she got 11 months. The girls are good dancers, typically SM doesn’t want their girl groups to do over agresssive and intense choreography. Their main focus for their girl groups is vocals, sm wants their girl groups to focus more on vocals then showcasing their dancing all the time. Besides SM saves that for the end of the year performances, thats when sm let’s their girl group cut loose on the choreography. 2. Every kpop fan knows that if ur a sm group boy or girl ur an exceptional dancer, SM got the reputation for having amazing singers and dancers so fans already knows. Besides to draw new fans in u need to showcase their vocals. Besides sm doesn’t let their girl group cut loose on the choreography unless its for a special stage. Special stages is when u will see their girl group cut loose and show their dancing prowess
Next time you're feeling vocals, you can also listen to NIngning and Winter's OST called Once Again, it's literally beautiful and one of my favorite songs! As for other songs by them, you have the b-sides to the Savage mini-album (aenergy, I'll Make You Cry, Yeppi Yeppi, Iconic, and Lucid Dream) , the b-sides to the Girls album (Illusion, Life's Too short (eng and kor ver), ICU and Lingo) , and for SM Station Giselle was in a rap group with some NCT members to do a song called Zoo, and Ningning was in a vocal group to do a song called Snow Dream 2021. Also Winter and Karina were in a GOT: the beat unit and did a song called Step Back with other prominent female figures from SM. They don't have any official covers on youtube, but they sing clips on radio shows and on lysn.
I love the way you react lol I really enjoy long reaction videos and hearing your opinions on every aspect of the songs. just had to say this bc of the people who want you to react differently.
2:37 and this people is THE 4gen visual 💃 our ACE leader Rina ❤ Can you imagine hiring someone for being pretty and then finding out she's a ACE? SM was so damn lucky kkk
"Dreams Come True" is Aespa's cover/reimagining of the classic song of the same name by S.E.S. which came out in 1998. For those who didn't know, S.E.S. was the FIRST ever S.M. girl group. S.M.'s first boy group was H.O.T. and their first girl group was the legendary S.E.S. They are the OG Sm girl group, so Aespa remaking this epic song is incredibly meaningful. The importance of this song is such that it just seems appropriate that another old school Kpop legend BoA produced this. One needs to watch the original MV to truly appreciate all the little nods to the original in this remake. 5:47 the weird rapping robot is an update of the strange alien animation in the original MV. I suspect that OG S.E.S. fans all screamed out in nostalgic joy when Aespa included this kitschy bit in the remake. ; ) 4:20 Giselle's singing about being in the Twilight Zone is a veiled reference to another S.E.S. song entitled "Twilight Zone". This is such a lovingly crafted and respectful reinterpretation of an all-time Kpop classic. Thank you, Aespa, BoA and S.M. for paying such a fantastic homage to S.E.S. ; )
Yes, BoA did a great job producing, and helped them so much! and Bada went to see Aespa to encourage them and give them some tips... she even gave Nngning her own personal notebook! these videos about it are pretty interesting... ruclips.net/p/PLA91TLEzZINu32HjTXoq5tl_SBqBE0Mp8
for the coachella performances i would recommend you watch the fancams. the official broadcast actually had a really loud backtrack and you couldn't really hear their voices whereas you can really feel their energies in the fancams!!
For the live stages; it's best to check the fancams for the coachella performance almost everyone's live video from their official channel has a louder backtrack than the artists' mics so you can't really hear their live voices. For their other live stages it's best to check out their Good Morning America Summer Concert series performance, SMTOWN Tokyo, or the Tokyo Girls Collection performance those have the best live stages. Giselle is a choir member for 4yrs as an alto, Karina trained at a vocal academy before joining SM she also plays a few instruments on top of being a dancer, a professional dancer who came from a nearby school said she's known in her school and neighbourhood for her skills as a dancer and a then I think she became a rapper after joining SM kinda like mark I believe. (she also plays a lot of sports the girl can do everything😭) Winter on the other hand got casted on a dance competition and ended up becoming the lead vocalist. and Ningning well there's no need to explain are amazing maknae. aespa had these synk videos to introduce each member and their skills except winter tho she's kinda a hidden member. Giselle wrote her rap in her synk videos it's also in three diff languages (Japanese, Korean, and English) ruclips.net/video/pBvw2_e8Ws8/видео.html [she also wrote her rap for her special feature for Hyoyeon's performance of Second at SMTown NY Concert and Zoo with nct] she recently shared a clip of a song she produce and wrote which sampled Dreams Come True - ruclips.net/video/75wimmTS7DI/видео.html For Ningning she wrote and produced a song for her graduation - (ruclips.net/video/oTEAz8Y3-CY/видео.html) and a few covers from her (ruclips.net/video/Ykxm6ywjFFs/видео.html), and her synk video (ruclips.net/video/bONr7tZ7VIU/видео.html) Winter is interesting like I said she got casted at a dance competition but what I like about her is her vocal tone is quite lovely and pretty, my favourite covers from her is this IU and Taeyeon song (ruclips.net/video/c1Nh2rrl-6w/видео.html) and (ruclips.net/video/4lD4ygnEoPI/видео.html) For Karina it's best to check her dance cover cos the dance performance choreos they give her doesn't really give justice to her skills, this bola dance cover is really good (ruclips.net/video/jj4DIlHOOnU/видео.html) and this song cover she did (ruclips.net/video/UC0TTYb6-mo/видео.html) and (ruclips.net/video/E4azX3kcKhg/видео.html) if you ever read this I hope you have time to check them not even to react you can do it in your private time if you're interested to get to know them more.
I LOVE Illusion. It's an incredible B-Side that could honestly have been a title track. I also love Life's Too Short (Eng version) I catch myself singing along to it all the time haha.
And I say again, I love your reactions! 🤯 my favorite vocal is Winter, besides being my bias 🤧💜 you should listen to i'll be yours by Chanyeol x Raiden feat Winter .. her voice is beautiful.
Can you do a listen and reaction to their 1st mini album “Savage”? It consists of 5 bsides 1. Aenergy 2. I'll Make You Cry 3. Yeppi Yeppi 4. Iconic 5. Lucid Dream (you'll prolly like this last song 🤭) Promise, you won't regret listening to it (Like if you wanna hear more amazing vocals yk runs and INSANE HIGH NOTES, etc ;>)
I really suggest you watch the behind the scenes of Dreams Come True vocal recording if you like their vocals, very interesting and they are so raw and talented, it's satisfying to watch! Thanks for the videos!
@@Yetti. hey!! Btw if you're going to watch their coachella performance you shouldn't watch their official videos as they are heavily edited, you should definitely go for fancams as it showcase their live singing more clearly!! Lots of love to you!!❤️
I love the way they wrote the words in the chorus in Dreams Come True, very Talking Heads, Stop Making Sense era style poetry. Also, I adore aespa they are amazing, it makes me so happy to watch you enjoying them too.
Life's Too Short was actually for the haters. Aespa is SM's newest group and the expectations on them are high, people tend to forget that they were still rookies and the fact that they debuted in the mids of pandemic so the lack of opportunities for experience were there. Also these so-called "fans" keep doubting their vocal abilities saying they always lipsync which isn't their fault since SM won't let them BEFORE. But now that they have a lot of live performances still these haters keep denying their talents and now attacking their dance ability and stage presence since they can't say anything about them anymore lol. Also yes, the rappers can sing and hit high notes too. Aespa member tones are very beautiful and different from each other so it's easy to point out who's singing.
karina is really so talented. she can rap, sing and dance so well and look so godly on top of that. she's also the sweetest human and the best leader. all 4 of these girls are so talented fr
Their singing in unison is really beautiful I agree with you! Have you gotten into Red Velvet’s discography? I feel like because you are appreciating Aespa’s vocals specifically then you might fall in love with Red Velvet. Something in the SM water 😂 Editing cause I forgot to tell you my fav Aespa songs - I really like Next Level, I’ll Make You Cry, Dreams Come True & Lucid Dream 💜💙
Thank you for the reaction, I really enjoyed it :) A reason for their movements not being that sharp could be due to the fact that they're singing and want to keep their voices stable. It's also not really a great choreography for the song to be quite honest, if you watch the black mamba dance practice you can see how strong they can be in the dancing department! Have a nice day. love :)
Love your reactions and detailed analysis' you should definitely check out aespa's b-sides on the Savage mini album, the vocals are soo POWERFULL and diverse its amazing. my personal faves are i'll make you cry, iconic and lucid dream!!
i really need karina to do jazz music someday, it's gonna be a long wait though. gosh, i love her vocals and tone sm. she has the skills too, just need more opportunities to showcase her vocals. personally i just find her damn talented and hard working, truly all rounder with insane visuals and personality. ok, right i'm damn bias now and i'll gladly admit it. XD
Aespa title track choreography always follow their lyrics and lore. That's why you will understand when SMCU explain it in the future, maybe next year 😂😂 For Coachella, i recommend you watch the fancam (just, Brad and Eric,....) You can watch: TGC, jimmy Kimmel, showcase fancam, fan meeting.
Karina is truly an all-rounder 🔥 ... Dance, Rap, Vocals and charming expressions ! She's got everything... I'd not be surprised if she'd go into production or lyric writing in future ;)
I listen to Aespa because of Winter. She is an ace. I know its not gonna happen, but I would like to see Rosé and Winter collab. Please make it happen YG and SM
My favorite thing yetti does is, everytime people ask you to stop talking and all the comments and youre like "nah we ain't doing that here, nah nah nah" I LOVE IT bc yes talk off yetti, that's why we're here And if you could, it would be amazing if you do the original "dreams come true" by S.E.S. as much as I love this, the S.E.S is just magical and enchanting like fairy-esque, it's hard to describe
Oh Yetti, i always love your reaction and your energy. If you love aespa's vocals, you must watch NCT 127 Dingo Killing Voice, you'll be blown away with their vocal from start to finish.
It's been very interesting with how SM has been releasing aespa stuff. Black Mamba and Next Level were where the members kinda stuck to their 'roles'. Then afterwards Savage and Dreams Come True shows how versatile they all are in both singing and rapping. With Girls they began having the members sing together and harmonize/rap in duos showing that there's even more to the group once you combine different voices together. Literally showing more and more to what this group can do with each release.
A very nice reaction dear🥰 If you would watch their Coachella performance, I'll recommend watching the fancam from Eric & Brad channel. Their energy and vocal shone a lot from the fancams than the actual Coachella upload💗
Giselle is the main rapper of aespa and a former choir member. In a magazine interview Giselle said that people don't know about her that she can belt high notes in their free time. She is the female rapper that fits to be a YG main rapper but fortunately SM got the best thing for aespa.
I highly recommend you to listen to dreams come true by s.e.s it’s sooo good, actually one of my fav songs by a girl group💕 I think aespa did so well with this remake, they bring something new to the song while keeping the original sound, but there is this mystery, dreamy feeling in the original that I love so much🫠🫠
Dreams come true is a remastered(cover) songs by S.E.S(their senior from the same company) I have to admit, Im super glad Aespa got to cover this one, and turn it into their own style. Also pretty sure Karina originally signed up for vocalist, but become an extraordinary person with so much talent. lol, she's also the eldest and for SM entertainment. Being the Oldest usually means being the groups leader, so if your keen on not sure what to call her position on the group. You can just call her the leader xD
aespa's "Forever" is a cover/remake of a song which was originally released in 2000 by Yoo YoungJin. Yoo YoungJin is an SM singer, songwriter and main producer. He also has been a vocal coach for almost all of SM's Idols. He has produced or collaborated on a large majority of SM's songs. If you haven't seen aespa's MV for, "Forever, " you should check it out. Yoo YoungJin is the one that is most often credited with coming up with the most iconic parts of SM's songs. For example, you may recognize him if you have listened to the studio recording of EXO D.O.'s version of "(Tell Me) What is Love", which features Yoo YoungJin. He is also the one who does the ad libs and high notes in the background of Super Junior's "Sorry Sorry Answer" MV, and he is the one you hear harmonizing with Taeyeon in Girls' Generation's song "The Boys," etc. (Back in the day, his vocals and/or ad libs were used in a lot of SM's songs.) If you look up Yoo YoungJin, you would be surprised how many of SM's songs he has been involved in over the years, even still today. If you made a list, it would probably be easier to list the songs he didn't work on. LOL
To help you start to understand aespa better as a group and to explain a little more about what is happening in their MVs, if you haven't already, you should watch aespa's "aespa 'ep1. Black Mamba' - SM Culture Universe" video that was released right before their MV for "Next Level" was released and their "aespa 'ep. 2 Next Level' -- SM Culture Universe" video that was released before their "Girls" MV. It's the first and second episodes of aespa's drama and it explains in more detail about aespa's storyline. As with everything that SM does, aespa is much more than just a singing group. SM created this group with the idea that they would become characters within SM's Universe and help to expand on the story that started with EXO. SM's SM Culture Universe has now grown to involve everything the company does. (You could sort of think of it like the Marvel franchise. Each of the Marvel characters has their own storyline, merchandise and fans, but the stories and concepts often overlap and connect. And with each new character that is introduced it expands on the whole Marvel universe.) In order to understand aespa's storyline, you really have to pay attention to the lyrics of their songs, because the lyrics help to explain aespa's concept and what is happening in their MVs. I think aespa's "Life's Too Short" is the response to all the things the Black Mamba hacker was trying to use to break each of the aespa members down in their "aespa ep. 2 'Next Level' -- SM Culture Universe" drama video. The Black Mamba became a bully putting self-doubts in the girls heads in order to try to get them to stop trying to reach their goal and fix things, as we saw depicted as cyber bullies, people who want to catch them in unflattering moments and post the pictures online, people that spread rumors that aren't true, people who say and do mean things because of jealousy, etc. "Life's Too Short," in general, is telling people that in order to conquer those evil Black Mamba-like people, the aespa members plan to ignore everything bullies and anti-fans do in order to make others feel bad about themselves and cause them to question their worth or who they are, etc. In other words, "I'm going to continue to be me and keep on doing what I do, regardless of whatever you say or post about me." To understand how all of SM's groups are connected, you need to be aware that it all began with EXO's debut in 2012. As I think you know, EXO's concept is that they are aliens from Planet Exo who have been sent to Earth on a mission to find and protect the Tree of Life from the Red Force, while also trying to fix all the things that are going wrong in the world, which are believed to be caused by the Red Force. The Red Force is thought to be here on Earth inflicting their evil agenda -- corrupting humanity and causing all the bad things that are happening in the world, such as war, hate and destruction of the environment, etc. And because EXO is trying to undo and prevent the Red Force from accomplishing their goals, the Red Force is also trying to take down EXO by capturing them, corrupting them and standing in their way, etc. Some theories even believe that Red Velvet is connected to EXO's storyline. Some think that Red Velvet, EXO's sister group, could be the Red Force, or they could at least be members of the Red Force. I think the Black Mamba maybe working with the Red Force, or it could be a separate evil being who also wants to find the Tree of Life and prevent peace from being restored in the Universe. More recently, some fans are thinking maybe RV member Seulgi is the Black Mamba, as could possibly be shown in RV's recent MV. (If you watch some of RV's MVs with an eye for looking for connections, it often appears as if many of RV MVs are set in the same locations as a lot of EXO's storylines, especially RV's teaser videos for their MVs.) If that's true, this would only further the theory that Red Velvet is connected to the Red Force. But no matter what, I am sure RV is definitely part of the SM Culture Universe. And as you also may know, SuperM is the Kpop industry's very first supergroup which debuted in October 2019. Their concept and storyline is centered around the fact that they are Avenger-like superheros, so SuperM is the group that pretty much connects everything together. As part of EXO's story, Baekhyun and Kai -- who are members of EXO -- have recruited members from SM Entertainment's other male Kpop groups -- Taemin from SHINee, Taeyong and Mark from NCT and Ten and Lucas from WayV -- and formed SuperM, to help them battle the Red Force. It is said that the concept for SuperM is supposed to be like the Avengers, so, I see it as each of the members are a different kind of superhero that make up the larger "Avengers" group, just like how the Marvel Avenger members come together from all walks of life with all different abilities and powers, etc. to make up one big supergroup. Also, just like how the Marvel Avengers come together to combine their strengths and powers to help fight Thanos, I see parallels with what SM is doing with SuperM's storyline. SuperM is taking members from each group and joining forces to take down the Red Force. And just like how the movies "Avengers Identity War" and "Avengers Endgame" eventually had each of the Marvel Avengers members recruiting their whole crew to help in the fight, I think SM is setting it up so that all of its groups' members will eventually be brought into the fight. Theories have also speculated that NCT's/WayV's dream concept and storyline also connects to EXO's storyline. As with everything NCT does, it all has to do with dreams, dreaming or something to do with being in a dream state, which could very easily connect to EXO's other world and other dimension theories. Now, to explain how aespa is connected to the story. aespa debuted in November 2020, and as you saw, so far they have 4 MVs that are connected to their storyline. (You also should check out the official lyric video for "Illusion." The story in "Illusion's" lyrics help to explain the Black Mamba hacker's motivations and storyline.) I am also starting to wonder if maybe aespa has something to do with the Tree of Life from EXO's storyline, because, in "Next Level," you see aespa and their avatars with what looks like the mother tree from the Hollywood movie "Avatar," so I wonder if maybe aespa were made the guardians of the Tree of Life, tasked with hiding the two halves of the tree. Therefore, maybe the Tree of Life is what the Black Mamba is after. As we are told in the intro of EXO's debut "Mama", the Tree of Life was split in half in order to prevent the Red Force from gaining control of the heart of the Tree of Life. However, things on Earth have gotten out of hand, so now EXO needs to reunite the two halves of the tree in order to restore peace. So, I think part of EXO's mission is they are on a quest to find aespa in order to reveal where the tree was hidden. aespa was first introduced to the world in a teaser at the end of SuperM's "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV in 2020 -- about a week or so before aespa's debut. In the last scene of the "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV, we see Taemin with an LG phone and on the phone screen there is a symbol that appears. At the time, when that MV was released, we had no idea what that meant. However, soon after that, we discovered that the symbol you see on Taemin's phone -- ae -- is the logo/symbol for aespa. So, on top of being a teaser for aespa's debut, I think by making aespa a part of SuperM's MV, this was SM's way of establishing aespa's connection to SuperM's/EXO's storyline. Will aespa eventually join forces with EXO to defeat evil or will the Black Mamba gain control and cause aespa to team up with (Red Velvet?) and become members of the Red Force? We will just have to wait to see how SM connects the dots and draws the storylines together. But I have a feeling that, eventually, aespa's story will connect to SuperM's story, and, along the way, also EXO, NCT and Red Velvet's storyline, and maybe Taemin's solo work, and possibly even SHINee. (Even though SHINee is part of the second generation in Kpop, the members are the same age as third generation group members, so they sort of bridge that gap between second and third generation.) aespa's story is just another one of SM's epic concepts and mysteries that we will have to wait and see where it takes us.
Since 'Dreams Come True' was originally made in 1998, it was from an era where kpop songwriters didn't really pay much attention to grammatical errors and yes they do tend to miss certain verbs, articles and whatnot just to fit the phrases in the melody even if it doesn't make sense
Actually if you wanna watch their coachella performances, the one from coachella's official channel will give you a good visual aspects, but not in terms of live vocals. Because their live voices were overpowered by the backtracks, but you can definitely see their performance. If you wanna hear how they really sound i suggest you check out fancams, their live voices were so much louder and clearer
For dreams come true they're so in love that they stop making sense hense the 'you make me feel me good'. Do you want to up and down is sort of a metaphor for how relationships go. They're mentally in the twilight zone.
As others may have mentioned, aespa's "Dreams Come True" is the remake of a classic hit from SM's very first Kpop girl group S.E.S. from the '90s. This whole Station project was produced by BoA -- who is an SM solo artist that has been in the industry for more than two decades -- in collaboration with Bada -- who is a member of S.E.S. Everything from the rewriting and restyling of the song, to the choice of choreography and MV concept was orchestrated by BoA, and she specifically did it all with aespa in mind because she thinks aespa is becoming the S.E.S. for the new generation. aespa debuted in November 2020 and they are SM's first 4th generation group. If you haven't already, you should check out S.E.S.'s original version MV in order to really understand aespa's song and MV concept. The English lines are the same lines from the original version. And the fairy wings and a lot of those dance moves are an iconic part of the original MV and choreography, it's all part of a homage to S.E.S.'s version. It was BoA's idea to give the vocalists rap lines and to showcase the power vocals of the rappers. Hence why Karina -- who is the leader, main dancer and lead rapper of the group -- was given a main vocal part. It just goes to show you, yet again, why they are an SM group, because even the rappers are amazing singers. Fun fact: Yoo YoungJin, who is an SM singer, songwriter, main producer and vocal coach, etc., is the one that does the alien rap voice in S.E.S.'s original version of "Dreams Come True." Plus, if you want to see how this whole project came about and the behind the scenes of them making everything, you should check out all the episodes of SM's "Re:MASTERPIECE" project, which is a sort of a documentary look at everything that went into remastering this classic hit. It was really interesting to see BoA use her years of experience and expertise to mentor aespa and to put everything she has learned in her 21+ years in the industry as one of the best female singers and dancers, into creating this project.
I highly recommend you watch some of their live performances in korean university festivals so get a better picture of how they perform live! Not that coachella was bad, I think the crowd in Korea just had some incredible energy when they performed :)
if you want to react to their coachella performance, please, watch the fancams, cuz there you will be able to hear their clean live vocals, in coachella's official videos they have this weird and loud backtrack :(((
Aespa lyrics are quite strange I agree but I think It is because they want to add like a robotic/computer -ish kind of vibe in the lyrics or gramatics just like their concept ☺️❤️
It's their concept they have a whole story line if you get some free time and if you're interested in aespa watch SMCU ep 1 and ep2 you will understand everything and their concept
Hey beautiful momma!!!🙏 I know you have A LOT of requests and projects you’re working on; and I first want to say thank youuuu for letting us vibe out with you! I love your content!!! I of course also bring a request! DISCOVER EVERGLOW! This girl group is INSANEEEEEE and honestly; one of the TOP for me!! They never miss with their title tracks and their b-sides are even more iconic!!!! Thank youuuu!!!🙏💛
would love to see reactions to their albums! savage album: aenergy I'll make you cry iconic yeppi yeppi lucid dream girls album: illusion lingo icu and also if you want lifes too short (korean ver)
for the coachella performances i’d recommend you to watch the fancams instead. the official performance video was so loud with the backtracks we can barely listen to their live vocals 😢😢 idk why. they did it to other artists too this year. fancams are so much better :) try it! edit: they performed aenergy, black mamba, next level, savage, and life’s too short at coachella.
‘dreams come true’ ‘life’s too short’ ‘icu’ and ‘forever’ are part of their ‘REAL WORLD’ concept where as the “harder” sounding songs are part of their ‘KWANGYA’ concept! :) that’s what i’ve heard anyway.
also position wise winter once in an interview said they don’t have officials roles :) it’s the fans who gave them what they thought suited the members best! (it was pretty accurate too). atleast that’s what i think again 😭
Please react to SB19 - WYAT (Where you AT?) it is a P-pop boygroup managed by a korean entertainment and i know you are going to love them! please check them out sometimes!
What is your favorite vocal moment from them?
Karina's last "we them girls" in Girls like damnnn
gotta be ningning's one in life too short where u expect a high note as she goes higher and higher but it ends like an anti-drop
Black Mamba coachella live. Fancam ver bc the main uploader didn't give justice to their vocals. Also Girls live in SMTown concert.
probably the vocals on i’ll make you cry aswell as definitely the bridge in savage!
I love them all but, Karina’s last note in Girls and
Karina’s ‘Neol bushyeo kkae julge Oh’ in Savage 🧎🏻🧎🏻🧎🏻
I always come back to your reaction videos to aespa, you're the only one who appreciate the rappers for being vocalist
29:53 yes that note at the end was from the rapper our all rounder Karina 💚
Aespa is literally an all around group🥺 They have no skips, true 4th Gen leaders
Dreams Come True is a remake of an S.E.S song a SM 1st gen GG. So that could explain the grammatical errors. SM has really been into remastering their old MVs. Lol I never actually read the lyrics until now had the exact same thoughts as you
it's so confusing at first
@ladylunare Nylon Beat made a Finnish version and an English version, SM bought it for S.E.S and has had Girls Generation and Red Velvet cover it (Red Velvet was a collab with Twice) and now Aespa has made this version. I'm sure there are more that I'm missing.....

The grammar is how kpop songs were structured in the 90’s. BoA did that on purpose as a throwback to when the song came out.
I’ll Make You Cry is my all time favorite song from Aespa and will probably be for a long time. The vocals, the message, the intensity, and the groove made Aespa one of my favorite 4th gen groups.
yess there's more songs
SAME
I'LL MAKE YOU CRY IS MY FAV SONG IN SAVAGE 💖💖 THAT SLAPS HARD
Sameeeee.... It's my favourite b-side of theirs :)
Same, I love I'll make you cry and Illusion the most.
I haven't even watched the video yet but I already know that you'll be confuse with the rap part of Dream Come True. SES is the original singer of that song, SM's first girl group, I think K-pop's first ever girl group. It was released in 1998, and it was from SM, of course there will be something odd, but IT'S ICONIC
absolutely i was haha
That’s why those songs are both very different from the rest of æspa’s discography in terms of both concept and sound.
the original is actually "rakastuin mä looseriin" by Nylon Beat!
@@asunbleachedfly Nylon Beat made a mostly english version for the US market at one point too. :)
For aespa coachella performance, it's better to watch the fancam version, their live vocals sounds so much clear than the official video by coachella
15:16 "Her voice is quite airy."
Well, Giselle's real name is actually Aeri~
ohhhh
I laughed, I cried, I learned.
Oh my god LMAO 😭
Oh ok umm….
YES aespa singing in unison sounds soooo good. In that one radio show, they sang all together, and it sounds soooo good.
WINTER VOCALS WOW!!!!
aespa's songs are always so good! Karina is such an ace, her high note at the end of Girls was incredible!
definitely listen to their first mini album, savage, if you haven’t! that album is what made me start ulting this group fr 😩
I think girls is my fav aespa song
IDK WHY PPLE DONT LIKE IT THAT MUCH
ITS AMAZING
The difference between the instruments and raps and vocals and production is incredible!
WHAT A MASTERPIECE
Winter is easily my bias. You should see compilations of her being an absolute clown on reality shows and vlive. And Girls is my favourite song so far.
main dancer, vocalist, rapper, visual *karina* ace ♡
Yes my girls. I love aespa so much, they're so gorgeous
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH it's so easy to think the negative voices are louder so thanks for sharing this ❤
2:37 and this people is THE 4gen visual 💃 our ACE leader Rina ❤ Can you imagine hiring someone for being pretty and then finding out she's a ACE? SM was so damn lucky kkk
Yeah, Karina are out of their league they don't deserve her
"Dreams Come True" is Aespa's cover/reimagining of the classic song of the same name by S.E.S. which came out in 1998.
As a og ses fans, u are correct.
for the coachella performances i would recommend you watch the fancams. the official broadcast actually had a really loud backtrack and you couldn't really hear their voices whereas you can really feel their energies in the fancams!!
Giselle wrote her rap in her synk videos it's also in three diff languages (Japanese, Korean, and English) ruclips.net/video/pBvw2_e8Ws8/видео.html
[she also wrote her rap for her special feature for Hyoyeon's performance of Second at SMTown NY Concert and Zoo with nct] she recently shared a clip of a song she produce and wrote which sampled Dreams Come True - ruclips.net/video/75wimmTS7DI/видео.html
For Ningning she wrote and produced a song for her graduation - (ruclips.net/video/oTEAz8Y3-CY/видео.html) and a few covers from her (ruclips.net/video/Ykxm6ywjFFs/видео.html), and her synk video (ruclips.net/video/bONr7tZ7VIU/видео.html)
Winter is interesting like I said she got casted at a dance competition but what I like about her is her vocal tone is quite lovely and pretty, my favourite covers from her is this IU and Taeyeon song (ruclips.net/video/c1Nh2rrl-6w/видео.html) and (ruclips.net/video/4lD4ygnEoPI/видео.html)
For Karina it's best to check her dance cover cos the dance performance choreos they give her doesn't really give justice to her skills, this bola dance cover is really good (ruclips.net/video/jj4DIlHOOnU/видео.html) and this song cover she did (ruclips.net/video/UC0TTYb6-mo/видео.html) and (ruclips.net/video/E4azX3kcKhg/видео.html)
if you ever read this I hope you have time to check them not even to react you can do it in your private time if you're interested to get to know them more.
It consists of 5 bsides
1. Aenergy
2. I'll Make You Cry
3. Yeppi Yeppi
4. Iconic
5. Lucid Dream (you'll prolly like this last song 🤭)
Promise, you won't regret listening to it (Like if you wanna hear more amazing vocals yk runs and INSANE HIGH NOTES, etc ;>)
up
I really suggest you watch the behind the scenes of Dreams Come True vocal recording if you like their vocals, very interesting and they are so raw and talented, it's satisfying to watch! Thanks for the videos!
yes totally check out their full coachella performance!! would love to see more aespa reactions!
I see the title , I run here🔥❤️
hii
@@Yetti.
Dreams come true is like a tradition for SM girl group. It was a big hit and now every gg from SM sing it with their flair. To me this is the best one
i really like karina's vocals, like really really really like her voice so much be it singing or even just her talking
Jeon sojin voice
karina is really so talented. she can rap, sing and dance so well and look so godly on top of that. she's also the sweetest human and the best leader. all 4 of these girls are so talented fr
Their singing in unison is really beautiful I agree with you! Have you gotten into Red Velvet’s discography? I feel like because you are appreciating Aespa’s vocals specifically then you might fall in love with Red Velvet. Something in the SM water 😂
Editing cause I forgot to tell you my fav Aespa songs - I really like Next Level, I’ll Make You Cry, Dreams Come True & Lucid Dream 💜💙
RV's discography is a wonderful rabbit hole that you can't have enough 😍
UPPPPPPPP
XD
Your reaction is everything ❤
thank you :)
Aespa title track choreography always follow their lyrics and lore.
That's why you will understand when SMCU explain it in the future, maybe next year 😂😂
For Coachella, i recommend you watch the fancam (just, Brad and Eric,....)
You can watch: TGC, jimmy Kimmel, showcase fancam, fan meeting.
Ningning is my favorite performer in aespa. She projects so well during live performances
She IS my biasssss🛐🦋🦋🦋🗣
Apparently, for 3 of the members, Life's Too Short is their favourite song to perform :)
omg thank you for doing another reaction to aespa! i love it so much!
They have two mini albums you can check out! They’re also planning to release a full album as well though it got pushed back to early 2023.
AESPA the Queen of Vocal ever
Karina is truly an all-rounder 🔥 ... Dance, Rap, Vocals and charming expressions ! She's got everything... I'd not be surprised if she'd go into production or lyric writing in future ;)
Omg i hope you check out their b-side Illusion that they promoted along side girls, they have a dance practice for it too it’s a reallyyyyyy good song
I listen to Aespa because of Winter. She is an ace. I know its not gonna happen, but I would like to see Rosé and Winter collab. Please make it happen YG and SM
My favorite thing yetti does is, everytime people ask you to stop talking and all the comments and youre like "nah we ain't doing that here, nah nah nah" I LOVE IT bc yes talk off yetti, that's why we're here
And if you could, it would be amazing if you do the original "dreams come true" by S.E.S. as much as I love this, the S.E.S is just magical and enchanting like fairy-esque, it's hard to describe
A very nice reaction dear🥰
If you would watch their Coachella performance, I'll recommend watching the fancam from Eric & Brad channel.
I highly recommend you to listen to dreams come true by s.e.s it’s sooo good, actually one of my fav songs by a girl group💕
I think aespa did so well with this remake, they bring something new to the song while keeping the original sound, but there is this mystery, dreamy feeling in the original that I love so much🫠🫠
Karina's voice🤧
Yeppi yeppi is my fav aespa song (:
(Back in the day, his vocals and/or ad libs were used in a lot of SM's songs.)
If you look up Yoo YoungJin, you would be surprised how many of SM's songs he has been involved in over the years, even still today. If you made a list, it would probably be easier to list the songs he didn't work on. LOL
Aespa is one of my favorite girl groups. Joining Blackpink, Girls Generation, and 2NE1. Of course 2NE1 is iconic and, in my humble opinion, the best.
And with each new character that is introduced it expands on the whole Marvel universe.)
In order to understand aespa's storyline, you really have to pay attention to the lyrics of their songs, because the lyrics help to explain aespa's concept and what is happening in their MVs.
In other words, "I'm going to continue to be me and keep on doing what I do, regardless of whatever you say or post about me."
To understand how all of SM's groups are connected, you need to be aware that it all began with EXO's debut in 2012.
(You also should check out the official lyric video for "Illusion." The story in "Illusion's" lyrics help to explain the Black Mamba hacker's motivations and storyline.)
I am also starting to wonder if maybe aespa has something to do with the Tree of Life from EXO's storyline, because, in "Next Level," you see aespa and their avatars with what looks like the mother tree from the Hollywood movie "Avatar," so I wonder if maybe aespa were made the guardians of the Tree of Life, tasked with hiding the two halves of the tree.
(Even though SHINee is part of the second generation in Kpop, the members are the same age as third generation group members, so they sort of bridge that gap between second and third generation.)
aespa's story is just another one of SM's epic concepts and mysteries that we will have to wait and see where it takes us.
dreams come true is a cover of a 90s kpop song by sm first girl group (s.e.s.) and its reproduce by BoA
They're mentally in the twilight zone.
definitely should check out coachella's fancams if you're interested in their lives
please react to their whole coachella performance (fancam) they sounded amaaaazing!!!
I love your reaction ❤️💋
you should listen or watch illusion the dance is immaculate and that song has a certain hold on me i cant shake
Fun fact: Yoo YoungJin, who is an SM singer, songwriter, main producer and vocal coach, etc., is the one that does the alien rap voice in S.E.S.'s original version of "Dreams Come True."
Plus, if you want to see how this whole project came about and the behind the scenes of them making everything, you should check out all the episodes of SM's "Re:MASTERPIECE" project, which is a sort of a documentary look at everything that went into remastering this classic hit.
Not that coachella was bad, I think the crowd in Korea just had some incredible energy when they performed :)
i love your hair 😍
Loved your reaction. You could watch Illusion dance practice and the coachella vlogs so you can see the dynamic of the girls
28:07 same reaction girl 😭
Karina is the best sub vocalist in kpop along with Giselle. They are rapper but they could be a main vocalist in a lot of group
I KNOW RIGHT winter always have something to catch us
SHE'S A GODDESS AND SO COOL THAT'S WHY SHE'S MY BIAS
love how we collectively decided to not talk about the alien noises in dreams come true
aespa Queens 👑
i recommend the fancams when you'll watch their coachella performance
Please react to their first mini album Savage, it’s one of the best albums I’ve heard in KPOP.
if you want to react to their coachella performance, please, watch the fancams, cuz there you will be able to hear their clean live vocals, in coachella's official videos they have this weird and loud backtrack :(((
Love your reactions 💖💖
Aespa all mem vocalll🔥
girls is amazing song tbh
You can check out their mini album's if you interested, they have really good b-side
Due to the controversy lyrics... dreams come true are forbidden on the west 🤣...i saw a lot of youtuber reactions when that parts come
Giselle's the Rapper, Karina the main dancer, but they both are still lead singers.
@@aespafan6787 I know, that is what I was explaining ☺️
@@ReaPariah oh i see
People being surprised by karina is my favorite thing to see. She doesn't get enough credit for her abilities fr.
i would love to see the savage album reaction its actually top 5 best kpop albums fr

lucid dream
girls album:
illusion
lingo
icu
and also if you want lifes too short (korean ver)
for the coachella performances i’d recommend you to watch the fancams instead. the official performance video was so loud with the backtracks we can barely listen to their live vocals 😢😢 idk why. they did it to other artists too this year. fancams are so much better :) try it!
edit: they performed aenergy, black mamba, next level, savage, and life’s too short at coachella.
‘dreams come true’ ‘life’s too short’ ‘icu’ and ‘forever’ are part of their ‘REAL WORLD’ concept where as the “harder” sounding songs are part of their ‘KWANGYA’ concept! :)
that’s what i’ve heard anyway.
also position wise winter once in an interview said they don’t have officials roles :) it’s the fans who gave them what they thought suited the members best! (it was pretty accurate too). atleast that’s what i think again 😭
Also forever is originally sung by Yoo Young jin, who is Aespa’s music producer.
Thank you for reacting to them hope you can react to their synk videos so you can know better also hope you can react to their b-side track.
Please react to SB19 - WYAT (Where you AT?) it is a P-pop boygroup managed by a korean entertainment and i know you are going to love them! please check them out sometimes!
Please react to black mamba, savage and next level performance at Coachella
