Top-Tip. when temporarily using a cable tie; connect the backwards / flip the male end over ; so the serrations are facing away from the tooth. Then you can easily use it over and over again in temporary (light ) holding tasks only.
As a Swede I fully endorse that - the credit for the design shold not go the Sweden for this one! :) (A friend had one, lets say that it had some technical issues... but he claimed that after the second update package it became a better car than when it was intially released)
Incredible innovative small car for Volvo, designed & built by former DAF guys in Holland. The current Volvo C30 is a further development of this small hatchback design. Awesome result. Well done!
Sweet! For 1600 only I´d buy this car in MOT passing condition. It´d still need a lets say 5000 more of love, but as a rolling restoration :) Seems like I am stuck to my not rolling restoration of my 72 Peugeot 304.... Keep the projects coming :D
What was the plan if someone pressed the buy it now button and said I’ll be around the first afternoon to pick it up before they even knew if I’d run?😂😂😂
First thing I always do on a new s@#tbox is fresh oil and filter. My latest had proper black oil and a collapsed filter on a petrol. Why wouldn’t you do the oil as only £50 or so and is the lifeblood of the car.
Are copper brake pipes allowed in the UK? Here in Slovakia they would throw you out of an MOT station with any part of brake line being copper. The reason being, that pure copper is softer and would get brittle with vibration and time (so I've heard). However, copper-nickel brake pipes are used on a Mini Cooper from factory so I am puzzled a bit... What is it like in different countries around EU and the rest of the world? :)
Uh, perhaps less chat about cups of tea and more shots of the pop up lights (the killer feature and iconic part of a 480) actually working? 🤦🏽♂️Or even -=one=- shot of that? Are they broken? The motors are a bugger to repair and pretty rare to find working. Also, your headlining is slipping the day after the fix: shame, looked good at first.
With a Renault engine , Renaults classic electronic problems = total disaster….this was as far from a real Volvo as you could come!!…..800£ was 770 £ too much!!
Volvo 480 ??????? terrible!! Not a real Volvo! The models were developed by Volvo's Dutch company NedCar and were produced at the factory in Born, which is outside Eindhoven in the Netherlands.
please use another map; it is out of Rotterdam as well, and out of Utrecht, and Amsterdam ,and,and.. Later the factory became the name Nedcar,in the time the 440,460 and 480 were made in Born the company was called ..Volvo
Inner roof ceiling would be fine but on final test drive there are bubbles again in left and right corners oh oh oh 😂

Loved that car when I was a teenager. Still do! My Irish teacher had one. Also loved her... platonically of course! :D
Swedish?? This car was designed and made in the Netherlands!

current?
One of my friends collects old Volvos (none work) and I wondered why until I saw this episode!
Swedish dream thing? The Volvo 480 was designed and build in The Netherlands :) A very nice car, I had a 480 Turbo many years ago
Whoops…. copper brake lines!! Not allowed here in Australia, must be steel with double flares.
Good thing they're not in Australia than

another great job. 'xavier' and 'logan'.. you guys doing great job!!!!!!!
i also thought hes the redheaded Logan
I love this guys, they are really awesome
You changed the oil but not the filter? I’ve never done that in my life.
I hope it was done off camera
And was the old oil hot ?
The Volvo 480 SE was actually a throwback or a tribute if you will, to the Volvo P1800ES 🇸🇪
And nowhere a swedish car.. The 480ES is a Dutch Volvo, that is completely designed and produced in the Netherlands..
Would love to restomod one of these. Maybe engine and gearbox from an late 00's to mid 10's v40 t5?
What was the plan if someone pressed the buy it now button and said I’ll be around the first afternoon to pick it up before they even knew if I’d run?😂😂😂
Not "poping" the Pop-up headlights even once...says a lot!
Dutch made with a Renault engine, The name is from Sweden, i guess
Will really reminds me of Phil Harding of Time Team, took me ages to realize whom he reminds me of. Voice, accent and looks.
Or Simon Woodroffe from Dragons Den.
James onedin
Headliner fell down again 😂
my wife had a 440 turbo, great car
They never seem to detail the car much. You can polish $500 of value into a car. Paint the rust windshield wiper arms while you're at it.
Didn't it fail the MOT test with leaking brake pipes & also no engine start?
Brake pipes? 😂😅
did you change the oil filter?
Of course not. They also didn't bleed the front brakes.

They did it. There is Paul brackley behind scenes.
Is it sad that i know which model year that 144 is? They were right about the headliner though, you can see it delaminating again in the video..
Great too see another Guss and will car sold...Can i ask is. There going too be any new series coming soon?

I made microfilms for storage of this model, as a holiday job!.
This car was designed and made in the Netherlands.
I want it to go to a good home and be loved.....we are going to flip it in a week.....
#HEADLINER use a syringe full of glue just pock through every 4 sg inch and squeeze out a little bit of glue

Take out the inner ceiling, sand off the glue...new covering is glued on with spray...install...no point trying to make it easy!
Wanting a car to go to a good home is hilarious.
No rear wiper arm🤔😂😂🤦♂️
Should never have entered this civilization!!
Would never of buckled at that price...2,600 is correct
I was very close to buying a lovely well-kept Volvo 480 in Sweden a year ago. I'm still annoyed that I passed on it.
Wow, cool car, first I've seen one.
Your ummm.... headlining is bubbled again.
look front face same toyota mr2
MOT? Lights? Cmon guys……
Headliner ddnt last long ey. I see it sagged again. There is only 1 way to do. It's the right way
you paid $150 for a lock barrel with no key, no wonder you cant make a profit that is ridiculous
Seems like they fixed it themselves. $150 was if they bought a new one.
I am 💯 sure that this show got fooked up because of Gus 😡😡😡
Whenever he opens his mouth its Gas that comes out 😭😭😭
With a Renault engine , Renaults classic electronic problems = total disaster….this was as far from a real Volvo as you could come!!…..800£ was 770 £ too much!!
Gus so stupid about bying cars
