Omgg! That's awesome! I started last year and believe me, it gets better. You can learn in much in just a year. I went from basic Em and A chords to being able to play barre chords with ease. You'll get there!!

This feels like im back in algebra figuring out x squared times z plus parenthesis wtf is going on with all these letters and why does it feel like i need to get a masters degree in music engineering just to play a guitar
@@profound369 haha you don’t have to figure the chords out that way, it’s just for people who are interested in mapping them out and learning the theory. I compose mainly by ear
Some of it is from the caged system and figuring out the extensions and some are just intuitive choices and figuring out how to play them after imagining the notes
For me it’s a mix of listening to different genres and learning to play by ear. Most of the chords here are more of an intuitive tendency inspired by other songs. Learning the tabs of your favourite songs, CAGED system and scales are good ways also.
