I think you're doing a great job and I really appreciate the way you trying to do everything to make her happy that is awesome, for now the only recommendation that I can give you is to change the litter box for one like a deep pan or check some channels like Lennon the bunny or sincerely cinnabun in some videos you can see the litter box is more like a deep pan. ❤️❤️❤️🐇

@@peekaboosjourney Well it really depends on the bunny. Females tend to be more messy than males and they get more territorial. As she gets older she’ll start nesting and shedding so just prepare for that. ^^ In that case the grate will be very handy cause it will prevent her from digging up all the litter, till then she should be okay without. She’s very lucky to have you as her bunmom. ❤

Yeah so all the litter kinda falls through but I did see her once trying to dig. She loves to dig at random corners around the house😅. She's no longer eating any hay in her litter box so I moved it out. She really just goes in there to do her business then she's out🤷🏻‍♀️

FYI, Peekaboo now has a much larger litter box, a mat for her paws so they don't fall through the holes and she doesn't like to eat hay in her litter box so she eats it outside. She only goes in there to pee and poop and nothing more 🤷🏻‍♀️ thx for all the comments on her litter box but she's very happy now 🥰🙏 she also eats plenty of alfalfa hay now along with her Timothy hay🙌

I discovered Orchard Hay was better for allergies. It’s more expensive than Timothy but just better for our home. I also give her those Timothy stacks and she loves them. I keep a stack in her castle (her play area) and the loose hay in her hay feeder. You are doing so great with Peekaboo!

I have the hair buster, but I found that what works the best for my buns and me is a lint roller! I swear by them. I promise they don’t hurt the rabbits at all, my rabbits even lay down comfortably during it. It gets every single piece of fur out without the fur flying everywhere. This is extremely useful during their shedding seasons because they can shed A LOT during them.
What’s great about it is that It’s not only just her but also for you. I find fur all over my clothes all the time so I just use the same lint roller I use on them for myself too. 😂
If you already have that lying around, I suggest trying it out. I find the process to be faster and cleaner. She might be a little weirded out at first but they get used to it once they experience it more.

What I’ve read is that baby bunnies should just eat alfalfa hay and juvenile pellets for the first 6ish mos, then switch over to Timothy/meadow etc and adult pellets & veggies after!
My baby bunnies love fresh roses, not as much the dried ones,
I have 2, they’re already almost 8wks, brother and sister and both really different personalities and tastes
I had one litter box but they’ve already outgrown it, I ended up just setting up a 2nd next to it and they love it
They also love to destroy those woven grass houses, the first one I got they’ve outgrown for 2 bunnies, just got the bigger size delivered yesterday and put them together, one was crazy running and jumping around through around and over them last night

    • @colourfulsouls
      @colourfulsouls Год назад

Also- I didn’t earlier at first they should just eat the alfalfa hay and not really fruits and veg use yet.. so I was giving them Timothy and meadow I had left over from some wild cottontails babies I was taking care of and recently released
they do love treats especially fresh & freeze dried banana
The cottontails I mostly foraged in my yard for their food (+hay & pellets & spring mix)
I’m also super allergic to the hay 😅 doesn’t help that the only alfalfa I’ve found is tiny pieces, gets stuck everywhere!

Hiii, sorry for my English, so for the hay, if she is really young (I don't really remember how much exactly) she needs alfafa hay because it has more calcium, cause when rabbits are young they need more calcium, and then you have to switch to the Timothy or orchad hay when she's adult. Then I suggest to use just a cats litter box without that grid because it's bad for her paws, and use paper pellets for the litter (if you don't want the bottom of the box get dirty use under the pellets the dogs training pads, but be careful because she can chew the plastic edge). You are doing absolutely great, you are doing research and learning, if don't follow her already go check up on some videos from Lennon the bunny, she is one of the best bunny content creator I know! P.s. Peekaboo it's so cute♡

@@peekaboosjourney that’s really good! I made the mistake of introducing Timothy hay too late to my first rabbit and only giving him alfalfa hay when he was young. it is SO hard to switch them over if you don’t slowly introduce new foods to them.
Timothy hay is the most recommended when I talk to vets so if she is already good on eating it, you are as good as golden! My bun still doesn’t get excited about Timothy hay to this day but I make sure he eats it 😩
With my second rabbit, I introduced Timothy hay and other foods to her a lot sooner while she was young (vet approved) and she is a great eater

My Son Kirby 🐇 & I are very Happy for You. He's a Beautiful Baby Bunny. Just remember he's young. Rabbits will be Rabbits. One fast Bunny. They will chew almost every thing. I am use to it 2 beds, 2 blankets, my shoes &: the bottom of my jeans when we watch TV together at night. Don't be surprised they can jump Big Time. My Son Kirby 🐇 is 15 lbs. He jumps on the couch kitchen table,.& my bed. Bunny's are the Best Son's & Daughters in the World. I do everything for My Son Kirby. Best thing I ever did in years. I promised him no cage never. When I Adopted him. I will admit a lot of work cleaning, but it's worth it.🤗😍♥️💞💘🍌🥕🐰
