I miss just being out in public and not being afraid of a virus. I would love to shop again and browse around in a quilt shop and a yarn shop. I would love to see children playing on the school playgrounds again. I truly hope that the world will be a much kinder and thoughtful place.

Not being afraid of the virus...especially if I catch it and was 'lucky enough' not to have the symptoms. My daughter lives with me and on occasion stays with my mom when my sister and hubby need to help out with his dad.

From what I can see, the kids on this fabric are darling! You are going to feel so "virtuous" when you get your bindings all done! You're right....having a "plan" seems to set us in the right direction. I have to write things down in my planner/notebook/calendar (and yes, I do have a lot of arrows from day to day because I don't get to them!) and physically cross them off. I heard a motivational speaker once who said we do it all wrong (especially women) and that we need to sit down at the end of the day and make a list of all the things we DID rather than make the one in the morning. I have to finish a quilt I started for my grandson and also finish one I began in a class last summer.......I cannot make excuses for myself. About the 3rd thing I want to do (because you are so right about seeing the family and the best friend) is to adopt a new dog! We have been without our so loved old girls for over a year and my heart is telling me I need to give it to another furry friend. You can only visit the shelter and animal control by appointment right now and I am going to have to "browse"....which is so hard because I want them all. Ok...I'll get two! I've been hoping a needy stray would just show up in the yard but nothing yet! Love the chats, Anna!

Seeing you working on binding and getting quilts completely finished, makes me want to get some of my projects completed. 😀 The beach is where I would go if all was open and good. I have not been to my beach spot in a year and a half. I think it’s gonna be time. Have a blessed stitch week!

Anna, you make me smile and I enjoyed your WIP parade because I have my own collection like that! I'm sitting here cross stitching while you chat about quilt stuff... I have been a crafter for a long time but find myself being frozen where I'm hesitant to try things. Thank goodness for RUclips! There's not much you can't find on there to teach us how to do almost anything! Thanks for being a friend to us all! It would be so great to be able to meet in person... but I live in Pennsylvania so we are very far apart! Our son is in the Army in Arizona so I love hearing about places closer to him!

Also, it was nice to step back and move at a slower pace. It has opened my eyes to what I really want to do! My dream once everything is settled down is to do a rug hooking class!☺

I want to travel again - oh how I miss going anywhere and finding fun shops along the way. I too have difficulty focusing on reading. I think stitching and wool appliqué has been a blessing during this pandemic because we quilters have no shortage of things to do. So enjoy your videos each and every week. Your quilts are really pretty!

I am so glad you do these chats. I’m not a cross stitcher and I still watch your stitch roadie videos. Your kit parade made me laugh, I think many of us were prepared for the pandemic. I still have many projects in my project boxes, but I’m starting new projects. The older ones aren’t going anywhere, and I’ll get to them someday.

Anna I love spending time with you. I just finished Queen Bee and I loved it. It has prompted me to pick up and start a couple more books. Love reading especially in the summer on the deck listening to the birds. After family I would like to drive around the Midwest visiting quilt shops and cross stitch shops. Enjoy your camping trip. I’m sure it will be beautiful. ❤️

Lovely to spend some time with you today! After quarantine, I would like to get together with my embroidery group. We are all quilters who decided we wanted to branch out a bit and do some embroidery. We meet a one friend's house and sit around the dining room table for the afternoon. Not much stitching may get done, but there is lots of talking and laughing. There are six of us and I sorely miss them all. We are all in the same large quilt group but there is something so special about sitting together for the afternoon in a small group.

I would just like to go to the grocery store! I miss the ladies in my hand stitch group, they met this past week and FaceTimed me so I could see everyone and their show and tells. It was great. I would love to visit Sue Spargo’s shop for the experience . We are in the same county but I’ve never been there yet although I have made lots of online purchases. Such fast service. I have a ton and a half of quilt shop quilting fabric but I will need some large backings for several king size quilts. Thank you for sharing your time and talents with us.

My first hand embroidery and I enjoyed it so much..I changed it a bit to try some fancy stitching like satin stitch and French knots 😂. I’m so pleased with it and I made it into a cushion with a adorable bee fabric. Can’t help thinking of you when I see Bee 🐝 fabric 😂😘💐

I would love to look forward to the George R Brown Quilt Show in Houston Texas. But most of all to be able to retire just so I can travel to all the quilt shows you talk about. For now I’m happy to see what you do for your viewers by filming all you do. You’re living my dream I use to show my husband RUclips videos how people converted their vans into tiny homes. But the good Lord had other plans for him. He always went out of his way to make me happy. I have great memories he was a good person. Keep doing what you do I watch your videos over all the time and just love them, most of all I enjoy how share your memories and the things you do. You make me laugh when you say it takes along time to see a video cause you always pause just to go shopping. You make me do that a lot and just loving it. I. Had there been no pandemic this year my hubby and I would be on our way to the Maritimes with many stops along the way and we still plan on doing that when it's safe to do so. Not this year mind you but keep in four fingers crossed for 2021. Thanks for the chit chat! I've been jumping from cross stitch to quilting all day today while listening to a bunch of floss tubers in the back ground. Now entering dreamland LOL...the first thing I want to do after family is to enjoy a fabulous potluck with my quilting peeps here in NE Ohio. I'm the President of the Lorain County Piecemaker's quild here in NE Ohio. I have taken our membership up to over 80 members, men and women, over the last 3 -4 years. I miss them all and want some hugs!! Social distance be damned LOL. I'm so excited to learn today that we are allowed to meet again in July. I'm going to host a Christmas in July event at the hall were we meet. No potluck and no hugs, but at least I'll get to see their smiling Eyes from a socially distanced, masked six feet. Good times will be had. My NEXT big dream is seeing your smiling face in person July 2021. These dreams will come true, in time. ROFLOL. Sending you virtual hugs.

I listen to free audio books or CD' s when I'm stitching and quilting. My eyes tire more quickly now.
I do want to go on a small quilt related group tour to England or Ireland. But first, I have always wanted to rent an RV and explore the western states and National Parks and quilt shops, of course. I took a two week group tour to many national parks years ago that made me want to do more traveling.
Your travels have given me inspiration about where to go out west. I loved Tuscon 5 years ago as a solo traveler.
I am still working fulltime from home since stay at home orders issued in March and will continue as long as possible. Two and a half years until retirement.
They are making progress daily with the pandemic. It truly is a war with an unseen enemy that takes its toll. You really do learn who are true friends who keep in touch and you keep in touch with.
Take care and happy hugs for grandbaby.

Love you Anna - you'll get all that binding done before you know it. Have you tried sewing the binding down in the ditch with your sewing machine? I know - it sometimes isn't as nice as hand sewing. I too haven't read a word since a trip I took last January even though I have 4 books downloaded in Kindle. I have to push myself to quilt and longarm and I don't know why but after I start it goes good and I'm glad I did it. I miss my kids but it's good to see them when we video chat. My dream is to be able to go to Hawaii with all my family to celebrate my husband's and my 50th anniversary the end of April, 2022. Hopefully we can look back at all of this and not be so sad but become stronger. We will definitely cherish all of our blessings.

Love your ramblings. I totally understand the "friend " thing. But in our case it was family who could care less. My reading also has taken a hit... haven't read like I used to. Hope when "normal" returns my need to read does too. I'm teaching an origami bag class next Wednesday and another bag classes on next Saturday. I plan on going to more little quilt shops when this cleaes! Keep on stitching!

Great video. Goes without saying the first thing we want to do is visit our son. He said he would take me to Fire Poppies (needlework store in SC) as I don't have an LNS in our area. That will be a wonderful trip, can't wait! Keep stitching, you will get to the end of the binding before you know it 🤗

Enjoyed stitching with you. One of my first dreams was to go out and have lunch with a friend which I’ve done but covid-19 is still here. I think after visiting with mom another thing I’d like to do is my planned road trip to go to Quilt Canada in Edmonton which was cancelled. I wanted to go and visit my Aunt Pat now know as A Secret Love Pat and visit with her and then swing up to Dawson Creek and visit with my Uncle Al her youngest brother, I’d start the trip by also visiting my cousin in Calgary on the way up to Edmonton. Of course because Quilt Canada was cancelled I’d have to check out quilt shops and needlework shops along the way!
Enjoy your family time and camping trip this weekend,

Quilt Roadies Rita had me over for some face to face time and some stitching. And bonus puppy visits, feel so much better. I needed face to face conversation and girlfriend time.
I talked to her about it and she want to drive over the border and go to LaConnor to hopefully visit the quilt museum and Sylvia Pippen’s shop. Then she said she wants to go to her annual trip to Ogunquit Maine and I said I want to get to the Oregon Coast again. Sisters also but I love driving along the coast.

I love to read also and I also cannot seem to concentrate on a novel with any depth, so I too have been reading, what I call easy reads. We will get back to them on of these days. Love you Anna, keep up the great work.

Ah yes, the Sisterlies and I are having an ongoing dialogue tonight. What a hoot!! Cheryl has a wip with about 4 stitches in it and I told her it wasn't a wip. It was a wipette! LOLOL You really are determined to finish those bindings aren't you? Good for you. Think of the guiltless leeway you'll have to make many more purchases when you're done. You're singing to the choir as far as your Dad goes. The same thing happened to me when I had my second heart attack. Any "friends" who didn't visit, etc. said "well, it's your second one. We've done all this before." No wonder I've become a lone hermit. Most people DO disappear when the dust settles and you're left alone, so may as well adjust in the beginning and ICU was a good place to start. I've done my #2 thing. It was my B-day yesterday and I went INTO a restaurant for dinner. Didn't get the right meal but I ate it anyway, I was so grateful to be out. Take very good care, Anna. Luv ya and we'll chat again. Thanks for this evening's visit.

I don’t have family nearby, so I would need to spend some serious driving or flying time to see them. But, after that, I think I want to go to the coast (Morro Bay or nearby) and Sequoia National Park for the nature hits and then plan a big trip that I haven’t done before-Europe or Africa or New York ( I don’t get out much). I also want to start taking classes again at my LQS. I miss the people there and the collegiality of classes. Thanks for the prompt to dream! Great video!

Ohhhh- i want to travel to The Vista motel - which is right across from the ocean in Gloucester, MA and have my favorite seafood dish from LobstaLand, also in Gloucester - and then hit every yarn and quilt and thrift shop all the way home from Gloucester - AND come home up over the mountains- & hope I see one darn bear or moose because it’s just that beautiful. (The wildlife is a running joke because there are signs ALL over & we still haven’t seen one!!). AND then - spend a night in Bennington, VT - because it too is just so beautiful!!
    Sigh.
I’m afraid it may happen even before seeing my family - my children do not live close - my son is in tech school in Texas. My daughter is in Buffalo & talking about moving even farther- children spreading wings.

I would have said that my first thing to do would be go to the quilt shop an hour from me but she has closed for good after this darn virus. Now I guess going shopping would be my next wish. I haven’t even gotten my own groceries since early March!
What pattern is the quilt behind you Ana? I see a bee hive on it. I really like the embroidered quilt blocks. I find I can work on those at the cottage or outside and see them. I can’t see cross stitch without a magnifier anymore. I’m working on Winter Wonderland from Crabapple Hill this summer. I do the embroidery in the summer and the piecing and quilting in the winter. Yours looks like a nice easy one to put together. Edited to add that I just heard you say it was your Stitching With The Sisterlies quilt. Now I have my answer. 😀

Looking forward to gathering with the gals at the church quilt group... That's about the only thing affected by the Covid nonsense.... We haven't been impacted here in Nebraska like other places.... We see the grandkids, still have family dinners, everyone is still working. My girls homeschool already, so they weren't bothered...
And... All our quilt shops stayed open to provide fabric for all the mask makers...

I had a goal to read 10 books this year. I have read 3. Lost count of how many I started and put down. I think the quality of writing and storytelling has declined. So many books today rely in violence to sell a book. I just want a good story.

Spent a week there as our niece was married in Charleston and the family stayed all together at this wonderful house a block from the beach.Quiet different for us from the NW.

I hope to visit all the quilt stores along the way via I-40 on my way from Taylor, Texas to home in Bakersfield, California to visit with family and friends; especially my daughter in Tulare, California. I will be 77 in November, and just hope I will still be up to the long drive, yes alone. I miss my daughter and family. My son and family are here in Texas. Visit quilt stores between Taylor, Texas and Santa Rosa, New Mexico where I catch I-40.

I’m dying to get out of town! I had planned a trip up to Oregon this fall, but don’t think that’s going to happen.🥺 So, the next best thing would be to go to Lake Tahoe for a few weeks. So, basically I want to go where you live. Lol. Just going to a free sew at our LQS would be great at this point! The soap that came on at noon was All my Children. I watched it from the beginning. I still watch General Hospital.🤪In Fresno, they were going to open movie theaters, but our numbers went up, so maybe the end of June now. They did say they would be older movies, not new releases. Yay! Sweet Anna ❤️❤️❤️ i am in the middle of tripping my way through creating a pantagram of the alien that gets edged to edge on the son’s quilt....THEN I CAN BIND ❤️❤️❤️❤️ you are more than welcome to drop in anytime. If you have any quilts you just need edge to edge quilting on, you can drop them off here on your way to Portland to visit the kids and grandkids. Mark said the same exact thing as your dad, after his first heart attack. I think Lori McCleary does that cool custom quilting and shes up by you ;). The next thing i would want to do after covid is done, i would want to go to Minnesota and meet Stacy at Buttermilk Basin and see her new shop and all the goodies in it ❤️❤️❤️
