@@maxly501 :D not on those. I think they put dual on some of the g series. I have the f series single exhaust dual pipe and if you don't have the emblem at the back you can't tell what engine it is (except 218 and 318 and 418 which are with single pipe).

some very unsuprising results: the N54 car had a bunch of issues, Tom Wrigley knows what hes doing, and Cam 2 is a legend for putting a 218 badge on his 240 😂
The second roll race was the most perfect start line-up I've seen on the channel for trio's! The E92 bong chime mid race is nostalgia for any E92 owner hahaha

If the 335i had the dct gearbox that some n54’s came with, this could’ve ended a lot differently 😢
It was the lci's that came with the dct box I'm pretty sure and they moved from n54 to n55
335is also had the n54 with dct
I have one 2008 n54 335i with dct. So yes they exist.
@@phantom2k10it’s possible to get the n54 with DCT for the 08-09 crossover years like mine. Even DCT might struggle at that power level without stronger clutches

Love this race. Definitely traction issues out there. No way these cars run 12-13s on a dry strip. Should be at least low 10s.
I feel the guy in the E92’s pain lol. That was me when I had my 335😂. Just getting across the line was a win. The M240 was pretty well balanced throughout it all but the M4 did what it does. Jumping from a 335 to a M4 was one of my best moves. Had to stop talking trash about M cars lol. Now I have a X3M plus the M4 and I’m a S58 believer. It’s a shame how much faster that grocery getter is than the M4 (10.6 vs 11.3 1/4s) but I’ll take my F82 every day.
cars can def run 10s with their power, but rwd is what’s holding these cars back.
No the only thing that could help here might be the best drag tires for such mass of power delivered to the back wheels...

What did he show ?? The only thing he showed is that his car has been tuned beter the 240i did 5.65 i got a m140ix about 800hp it does 100-200 in 4.8

@@gord6695 there are b58’s doing sub 3 🥶🥶 60-130mph and yeah a m car might have better suspension and other stuff but on drag strips they have no use and a 800hp m4 wont see to much track time 🤷 thats not what its build for i get it the m4 is a better car. But when building it in to a drag car they suck the g80/82 thats a diffrent story to bad would love to see tom tuned b58 vs n54 vs s55 and even a s58 that would be good races

As soon as I saw Tom Wrigley tuned that M4, I knew it was game over for these other lads. Was rooting for the 335i, but the M4 just showed it's prowess.

The M240i had his hpfp crashing. Either this is a failing hpfp, a bad tune (too much fuel needed that the DME is asking but hpfp cannot give paired with too much boost, so in that case the car would need port injection or a less aggressive tune) or a bad fuel mix from the owner (i.e. too much ethanol in the mix for the tune).
The 335i N54.. well.. N54 things 🤣 Worst straight six turbo BMW ever made in terms of everything around the engine breaking, but is being overhyped and "respected" so much because it was the first straight six 3.0 turbo that BMW made and due to it having a strong underblock it can take lots of power. But you literally need to change EVERYTHING around it to make it work as it's made so unreliable. It sounds (debatably) amazing though with the right exhaust setup, and it is a fun engine (WHEN it works, which is not often lol).
The M4 is the car I knew from the start that was probably going to win.. S55 + Tom Wrigley is all I needed to know 🙂
