Thank you for this! Looks like I will be taking my dash apart to fix my radio and a few other things. Dan with Normal Guy Supercar has a few videos on how to remove dash parts. but nothing as compete as the one you just did. BTW, cool VW! Im a big VW guy as well.
With all that removed, is the forward most piece also able to come out (the leather piece adjacent to the front windshield, with the LED in the center). The leather has peeled back on mine. Great video!
Thanks. I didn’t take it out and it’s been some time since I made this video. If I remember correctly, it seems like a few more fasteners and the grille that runs across removed, I could’ve taken that piece out.
I do not. However, I would recommend speaking with an upholstery shop as the material would need to be pulled back, re-glued and stretched back into place.

How do you remove the clam shell around the steering column? Is it just the 3 bolts accessible from the bottom piece? Great video btw. Thanks!

Can you get to the infotainment from under the dash? Or is it accessed with the glove box removed? Or do you need to take the dash top off? Thanks!
You have to remove the glovebox, to remove the infotainment unit. You do not need to remove the dash top

i have a 2012 ferrari 458 spider do have video,s on headliner sagging and my dash pad is bubbled thankyou sir.

This is way too complicated i'd give up within 5 minutes after having broken each tab i come across lol..
