    Hi Alexey, its an absolutely high quality lesson!!! I love your teaching strategy: you highlighted the key points to capture our attention, you then demonstrated it clearly and you finished the lesson in a high note ...Each of your lesson adds another dimension to my learning and understanding of Latin. Thank you Alexey and I am looking forwards to watching the next clip.

    Hi thank you for the video. You are great.
    I would like to ask your advise: when I do such movements with tennis they are ok but when I have to use dance shoes with 5cm heels I cannot. Thank you in advance for your kind attention. Daniela

    • @ballroomwithalexey3951
      @ballroomwithalexey3951  6 лет назад +2

      Daniela Thank you very much for your feedback and the great question!
      You are dealing with totally normal situation, it is a lot harder to keep your balance in the heels rather than in tennis shoes. My recommendation for you will be to keep practicing slow and consistently, with your heels on. Be patient and little by little you will improve! 😉
      Thank you again for your comment😊✌🏻

      Will strengthening the leg muscles with the leg exercises help? My personal experience seems to be that tightening the inner part of thigh muscles (unsure of the name of the muscle group) all the time helps a ton with balancing.

  • @bingsun1017

    Alexey, I absolutely love your teaching videos. Do you teach standard as well? Regarding Rumba walks, when move forward on 2, then the & action , do you turn out your back foot when you collect your back foot forward?

    • @ballroomwithalexey3951
      @ballroomwithalexey3951  6 лет назад

      Bing Sun, I am very glad you like the videos and thank you for great question. Yes i am turning out my foot slightly, because of the hip rotation
      👍🏻
      And Latin is my Main stile, I do dance standard but I prefer Latin :)
      What about you ? Do you dance both styles ?

    • @bingsun1017
      @bingsun1017 6 лет назад +1

      I see, so the turn out foot is the reaction of hip action. Thanks for your quick answer. I watch and practice with your video every night.

    For American Style Rumba, same concept Alexey?

    • @ballroomwithalexey3951
      @ballroomwithalexey3951  5 лет назад +1

      for American rumba concept is going to be slightly different, you are going to transfer your weight on the band knee, and only after you will straighten it.

    Why rumba counting from 2, but not 1

    • @ballroomwithalexey3951
      @ballroomwithalexey3951  2 года назад +2

      Thank you for the question, in rumba our count “1” is the silent one, it is connected with “4” and becomes it “4-1”
      4-1 is slow count, 2 and 3 are quick.
