Glad you talk about getting a good strap to stop neck dive. Apparently most of the internet is full of morons who don’t realize nylon is smooth and terrible as a strap material.
My only gripe with this bass is the scale length. I've played downtuned 34 and 35 inch scale basses and I've noticed a huge difference between the two. My Solar AB2.4 Baritone bass sounded absolutely huge!
Great sounding bass, badass body shape but the reverse 5 in a row headstock is a big no from me. I wish they offered their guitars and basses with optional alternative shaped headstocks
I might be alone in my opinion but for whatever reason I think basses which aren't the typical double cut fender style, thunderbird body shape and or some slight modification of those shapes just look wrong
I usually hate the look of metal basses with these gimmicky form factors due to them tending to have very cheap and plasticky finishes, but this thing is beautiful
man basses that arent "soloist" or "s type" bodies(yk what i mean) just look so bad, like the les paul bass or this thing just looks like ass i cant defend them as a metal bassist example by solar AB2.5BOP just looks infinitely better and as far as i know costs less with the same features, doesnt have as much neck dive obv, and has a roasted maple neck that just looks so good
@@sevenstringtv because of the placement of the neck strap button, on the exp type its at the base of the neck at best, on a doublecut its nearer the 12th fret, having perfect balance, my sire M2 has its strap button at 14th fret and the balance point of the instrument is around the 19th, also this exp bass has a 34" scale, other solar basses have 35s, my 300eur sire m2 5string also has a 35 scale making the B sing, for metal its a no brainer and this thing just looks corny
can you really trust someone who wears sunglasses indoors
And satanic symbol...
The treaty has been broken. Guitartube and Basstube are at war once more ;P
Didn't expect to see you here Lob! Thank you for all the amazingly in depth content you've produced all these years!

I tend to prefer nylon/fabric straps cause those can be printed on (like the blue one I was using) but leather ones are definitely better
Just a small correction for the last bit: it was the Covid era Solars that had massive QC problems, the early models were pretty much flawless
I've wanted someone to make that shape of bass for so long. Finally it happened. I'm totally saving the money up for one of these.

We have 6 and 7 strong TV now.. we ever getting 8,9,10,11,12,13 and 14 string TV as well? 😝😝😝
I think the bass should have been bigger tbh. The Thy Art Is Murder shirt goes hard
Can’t tell if Kaylen is trying to look like LittleVMills or just had to make that face for the thumbnail lol
balloon-haunted bass
How did you get that GNARLY guitar tone though? I love it
Signal chain is listed on screen! 🔥
Regarding the intro, did you have to pay shipping fees/taxes to get it into Germany? If so, then it definitely wasn’t free.
Fortunately not because Solar is an EU-based company (Swedish) but that does happen with other stuff on occasion
@ I figured, however I wasn’t sure, especially since the guitars aren’t made in the EU, afaik.
Wish you used a pick on the bass when playing soul burn😢
First time anyone ever complained about me NOT using a pick 😆

nasty bass, needs multiscale tho. I just think it looks cooler.
my spector has awful neck dive.
What Spector do you have? I have a 2005(ISH) Euro 5LX
The body is so heavy, it doesn't have much neck dive
FiveStringTV
Idk why but you look like Lou from Guitar Hero 3
Lol really looking like Gene Hoglan in this one
it looks nice, tho also like ikea furniture: consistently decent, yet kinda soulless
Best bass of 2024
too expensive.. even the highest end g4m is twice as cheap with stainless steel frets
Yeah but then you'd have a G4M instrument.
The fret material absolutely doesn't matter, you can play that shit for 20 years and it won't wear down
7:22 The Only Thing They Fear Is You from Doom Eternal?
Because if so then I think comparing it to something like Meshuggah is the only way for that to be more mellow than anything else.

Why would it have less neck dive? If anything the Explorer type with the bigger and heavier body would have less neck dive

This ain't it
Boohoo
@sevenstringtv it's not really the sickest metal bass ever made though is it?
Kinda is
@@sevenstringtv34in scale for a 5 string bass is not good
