In 12 years of ownership of my mr2, I have run 5 different types of wheels (stock, some Chinese crap horrible wheels that I feel shame when looking old photos 😂, Momo podium wheels, mrs' and now I'm running Borbet type a) and trust me, if I have known about these, I would have bought them. They look awesome man!!!! Excellent choice! 👌🏻

Ride height looks good! Nice wheels by the way! I too am fond of the 5 spoke design and opted for a 5 spoke wheel on my AW11.

Hey i got those tires on my fit, the fleva flaves, and used to own a aw11 like this and those wheels are very fitting. I Implore, pretty please, if you haven't go sit down, get a cup of coffee or a snack and search all the old mr2 boards for some autocross discussions related to no swaybar setups, its not about taking off the swaybars its everything else, thats just easiest way to find the info. stuff is legendary, promise if or when it comes time for suspension mods its all information worth knowing, its the genesis of how the sw20 became a class leading stock-mod class car for awhile but incites learned and can be applied to aw11.

@@NikkoSalgado Mostly on MR2OC if i remember, but if you look/search for a guy named XHEAD you'll find a bunch about it. He has his own channels from runs at nationals but i think he hasn't done as much recently. Hes pretty cool guy he came into MR2s from racing a Fiat X1/9 for decades and applied all the stuff he learned there, and guess what it worked. I talked to him probably over a decade ago but he confirmed for street use same ideas at like 1/3 or 1/4 the stiffness work and with a bit of reading up most people can get close enough i'd imagine since he never gave his exact specs (but that was enough for the sw20 guys to take over stock-prep class until rule changes or ND miatas or something iirc)
Side note and i think he listed this on some of his posts, but if it was just in emails i had with him if you want to deep-deep dive the books he recommended were (again if i remember right) Chassi Tuning by Herb Adams and How to Make Your Car Handle by Fred Puhn but you don't need all of that, more just reference of what type of guy he was. He was using excel sheets for calcs way back in the 90s and all that.

Sick stance you have there, my brotha. I, too, had the Enkei RPF1's on my list to purchase first for my '87, but after stumbling on to your channel and seeing this brand of wheel and how she looks with them on, I am completely sold-over in purchasing them as my first wheel option. Please do an after review in regards to the driving characteristics of these wheels. You rock, homie. 🤘🏻

I say leave the height where it is, looks spot on 👌🏻

a man's version of boots, purses, and jewelry all in one. These wheels look fantastic on an AW11 and the fitment is great. Nothing like a clean 5 spoke. For a street car the height is perfect.

Looks good. I was thinking F40 when you first mounted the rim on the car before you said it. Nice era style wheel for sure.

Do you have any rubbing with this wheel/tire combination? Did the new combo raise or lower the vehicle from the old 14" wheel/tire combination?

The 14s rubbed more because of the 60 sidewall. less rubbing on this setup now with the 195/50. Didn’t check ride height before and after

Car looks great! Personally I think 15s would've looked better but overall clean!
    Lower it a little!
