This month is one of the busiest I have ever had so this week I am just here with a check-in.

It's so nice to see Detroit coming back! I was born there, but we moved when I was eight. I will still always have a spot in my heart for this great city.

Great update! You should celebrate being a part of such a positive change for what was a very distressed city. As someone who works for government, it is wonderful to hear successes of service of dedicated government employees

Beth, I really liked hearing about the activity in Detroit. I have been rooting for it to flourish again, having followed the stories of the bankruptcy, the art museum collection, and the threats to the city worker's pensions. I will look into that book about the bankruptcy "grand bargain". Hope you are getting some rest.

Something I'm enjoying about Detroit is how the Lions are playing. Hope they make it even farther next season.
