Most of the hatred for Metalcore came from the third wave/Myspace era for wearing eyeliner, skinny jeans and floppy hair along with bands like FIR (Ronnie Radke's controversies) and SWS (Clean vocals) being the face of it despite both being Post Hardcore

For trad metal, there was a massive boom of bands more recently, Eternal Champion, Throne of Iron, Visigoth, etc. On top of that, it's rarely Maiden or Priest, though respect is due. It's bands no one really talked about, ala Manilla Road, Brocas Helm, Riot V, Medieval Steel, etc.

I listened to mostly lil Wayne and Drake before I found your channel at age 33. I am now a late stage (stage 4) emo/scene kid….because of u
16:25 those pants are spot on. The Arch Enemy fall collection.
Ironic that people hate on metalcore but don’t listen to or hate on bands that try to diversify the genre smh. People like to hate Sleep Token for no reason, people don’t talk about Invent Animate, and the issue is that good bands are out there. People just don’t know where to look too.
Most of the hatred for Metalcore came from the third wave/Myspace era for wearing eyeliner, skinny jeans and floppy hair along with bands like FIR (Ronnie Radke's controversies) and SWS (Clean vocals) being the face of it despite both being Post Hardcore
Nice pfp! I love Heavener! I'm a modern metalcore/prog metal/post hardcore fan. I don't care about genres though. I just love music and I listen to whatever sounds good to me. If I like the vocalist's voice and the lyrics and the melodies, I love the band.
I was waiting to be offended but I was too busy laughing my face off through the whole video. Classic ✓
Yeah dude, you killed me with the tech-death analysis.
Loving that Believer name drop for the Thrash elite. Sanity Obscure is a banger
I know of black/Viking metal dude in Sweden that lived alone in a cottage in the woods without running water or electricity. Their fire place was the TV, and collecting/decorating the walls with Viking stuff. What would the U.S. equivalent be to that person?
“Real party boys listen to Drake” Uhh somehow I doubt that.
When I think of big party/modern frat boy kinda vibe I think of stuff like Calvin Harris, David Guetta, stuff like that.
Maybe in 2013
@17:20 I cashed out some of my SBUX stock and hired plastic surgeon to surgically close my 1” gauges lol
say what you want, my brother is in a frat and when i go to parties they blast hair metal and thrash metal along with rap. that shit it somehow still popular in a party setting where i am from.
When you mentioned Coroner....I wanted to hug you. So underrated!
Nightwish is great Finn, they have so much talent and beauty. I don't know what you're talking about. What's your favorite band so we can talk all over that? Some odd obscure hardcore project? Please tell us I really wanna know
Blink 182
You're scared people will one day find out haha@@FinnMckentyPRMBA
There is so much unique music in the world. Explore all of it
I don’t have a gauntlet but I did watch this video while working on chain mail and my jeans are scuffed from riding my mighty steed (ok, he’s a skittish Arabian but his ancestors did fight at Vienna in 1683). I think that’s all in all pretty power metal
When I think of the average nu metal fan, I just imagine all of my fellow Finn McKenty viewers.
Hall does such great roasts, finn adding too them is gold.
Progmetal Fan here. its scary how accurate you are. i am right in between cargo shorts looser who tries desperatly to nail odd meter on drums and is unemployed but also having an education as surgeon assisstant and it-expert after that.
my friend is sludge metal fan and he recently crashed his marriage specteculary by having telephone sex on extacy with his ex gf. so this is spot on, too.
since we are germans i am impressed that your estimations seem to work globaly ^^
