Hey everyone!!! I’m SO excited because I hit 10,000 subscribers here on my channel this week!!! Thank y’all so much for getting me to this exciting milestone! I’m putting together a giveaway I hope to have up in the coming weeks to celebrate so stay tuned :) PS: I hope you like this tutorial! I’ve had a lot of requests for different styles of sleeves, and I’d been wanting to make an off shoulder top for myself like this with the long, flowing sleeves… it was easy to make so I figured I might as well record it and turn it into a tutorial to share! Thanks for watching and I hope you have a fantastic day!
My husband bought me a Brother XR3340 and I didn’t have any idea on what to do with it. I watched your videos and they seem easy to make. So I tried your off shoulder blouse video as a first project and boy I am so proud of myself. Thank you so much. This helps my anxiety too. Just keep watching your tutorials and sew! 🙏🏻👏
Oh my goodness your comment makes me so happy 😊 Thank you for letting me know!!! I’m really glad you’re able to start making clothes with your new machine and I bet your husband is excited to see you learn! Thank you so much for following my tutorial and I really hope you’ll enjoy some of the other ones too 😃 If you’d like to share a picture of your project I’d love to see!
Thank you!!! I'm glad you like it :) It really is a simple shape and easy to make! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and leave a comment :)
Hi Monica I love your videos! It's clear, you take your time to explain and you actually show exactly what your doing. Is it possible you can make a tutorial on two different shaped sleeves? 1. The batwing sleeve and 2. The dolman sleeve. Hope you can also make a tutorial on a batwing top and dress.
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you find the tutorials clear - I try to make them as detailed as I can so it means a lot to know you find them clear to follow! And thanks for the suggestions - I have so many ideas/suggestions I'm trying to get through but I'll definitely add them to my list of requests!! Thanks for watching :)
That fabric is so beautiful, I love the colour. And the trim is so pretty. Fantastic tutorial, you make it look so easy. Im definitely going to try this one, it looks like a great beginner project. And a massive congratulations on hitting 10'000+ subbies Monica. It's well deserved. Lee xx
I loved the color of the fabric too! It totally grabbed me in the store. I'm really glad you're gonna try the tutorial :) It really is quite simple being that it's just a few rectangles and elastic casings so I hope you enjoy making it! And thank you so much for the congratulations, I truly appreciate the kind words :) Thank you for watching!! XO
Oh yay!!! I'm so glad it came out so great :) Thank you so much for watching and following my tutorial and taking the time to let me know it worked out, I really appreciate it! Enjoy wearing your new top!

Hello 👋 I am a new subscriber! I realize that you made this video a while ago but I have a question if you wanted to make the bottom of the sleeves ribbed as well so it’s like a ballon ribbed sleeve instead of adding a designed fabric to or how would you do that do you have a video on that?
5:00 if you're scared of accidentally pulling the elastic completely through, my little trick is pinning the "non-working" end of the elastic to the fabric just under the opening for the casing.
7:36 I like to do a decorative stitch, not just a plain straight stitch. But my sewing machine has 100 stitches, so if your machine doesn't, don't worry about it. That's just what I like to do when I put trim on the edge of a project.
Ohh I bet a decorative stitch would look great above a pretty trim! I am definitely a fan of decorative stitches :) Wow, 100 stitches! There must be so many great options, I think I'd have trouble choosing from that many lol! Thanks for watching and sharing your tips!!!
Oh my.. I have been waiting for this tutorial for long time ever since i saw your prev fabric haul and this fabric. I bought same fabric from HL and was waiting for follow your video. :-) Can you tell how much fabric you actually needed to use to make this top out of 1.3 yrds you had.
Oh I'm so glad you got some of that fabric!!! Isn't it so pretty!? I have a long rectangle of fabric left from the edge (not enough to make another garment, though), but the way I had to cut it out I needed pretty much all 1.3 yards that I had... however if you're not sure exactly how to cut or lay it out on your fabric, you could always take the steps of cutting out the rectangles of the bodice and sleeves on a piece of paper first and then lay out that paper onto your fabric to see how best to cut the pieces. Thank you for watching and happy sewing! :)

Omg how do you have all the videos of the stuff I want to make?! ❤️
Haha oh good, I’m so glad you like the styles!!! 😃

Great idea Jo!!! Thank you for sharing :) It can definitely be a pain to start over if the elastic goes inside the casing.....

I also have 100 stitches, but I honestly think I've only used 8!
