The human body is quite resilient, and can fix most damages (carcinogens included). So how does cancer happen? Well sometimes, it fails, sooner or later. Lung cancer is still quite "rare" as a cause of death for smokers.. because cardiovascular disease and other diseases can kill you first before it happens. Also its a matter of genetics, some people have the best onco-immune system, their immune cells are one of the best of killing cancer/precancerous cells. I smoked for 23 years 15-30 cigarettes per day without a break and had no health issues, only sometimes short on breath after stairs etc. I quit 18 months ago, didn't need a copper cage. Best decision of my life.
Im a heroine junkie for almost 8 years and people always said its almost impossible to quit because its highly addictive but im proff them wrong. I quit since 2007. The hardest is to quit smokin because its highly addictive, legal and the damaging process of the body is slow
I could have smoked with that on if I need a smoke . I used a straw to smoke a cigarette to reduce the smoke smell on my clothes before. Since they mentioned that he used straw to drink water then that head cage wouldnt stop me from smoking . Still good on him for being committed to stop smoking .
Quitting anything of such a high dosage, while respectable, can also be lethal. There is a reason doctors titrate medications, particularly opioids. Titration is the act of gradually lowering the dosage over time to a level where withdrawal symptoms are manageable with a minimal possible dose. Often this is the complete eliminationof toxic addictive substances but sometimes that just is not possible.
I quit in 2014! I’d had dental surgery and ignored my dentist telling me not to smoke for 48 hours, I was easily smoking 40-50 a day. Well I got an oral infection, a nasty abscess that wouldn’t respond to medication so I was brought to the hospital for emergency dental surgery (Scottish NHS, the main hospital here has a ward for oral issues). It was a day from going septic and I lost all my top teeth, but I survived and that got me to quit immediately! I’ve since gotten dentures but by age 24 I had no top teeth because I stupidly didn’t listen to my dentist because smoking is THAT addictive! Haven’t touched any tobacco products since then, I just never wanna risk that again! The whole side of my face swelled up from the infection to the point my eye was forced shut, this all happened within a few days of the dental surgery. Never again! I’m 34 now so I’ve quit smoking for 10 years, I’d struggled to quit for several years as I’d been smoking since roughly age 12 so at age 24 that was half my life spent smoking, took a near death experience to get me to quit. There’s still times I’ll smell smoke and think good that smells really fine, wish I had a tabbie to smoke” but I’ll never pick them up again, but even after a decade of being smoke free I’ll sometimes get that urge you mentioned!
Omg thank you for writing out your experience. What a trial. I would not have imagined that it can lead to that... thank you. I was smoking from time to time during stress but quit but I had a feeling I might start again.. reading this has solidified my resolve to stay away.
I stopped smoking during the pandemic from 2019 till now I haven’t had any cigarette. No e-cigarette or vapes or candies needed. I did it cold turkey style. I just pre occupied myself with playing my ps4 and avoided drinking while trying to stop smoking.
It’s the same principle behind putting a cone on a pet after they get surgery or injuries that they can’t be allowed to scratch open. You just physically block it off and they can’t do it.
If he can still drink water from the cage I think he can easily smoke a cigarette 😅 My theory is that he would have cheat days sometimes This is just my theory btw I loved his dedication ❤
Also it's quite necessary to just take it slow by reducing the number of times he has to smoke since the withdrawal would hit him like a freighter truck if he really just stopped altogether in an instant
I quit smoking in 2014/2015 not because I wanted to but because I had no choice. I was coughing for a whole year despite medications. This was affecting my career in Corporate Sales as I cannot speak to customers, make presentations or attend meeting without being interrupted by my coughings. And I've tried to quit many times since year 1999 but failed. But this time I tried replacing the ciggs with vape. Had to do some research and readings, and some trial & error. Eventually I managed to find some products that effectively helped me get off tobacco in full. And the coughing stopped almost immediately (within 3 to 5 days). No more coughings / smoker's cough since 2015. Only had Covid in 2021. I'm not recommending vape to anyone, just saying if all else fail, it is a valid aid to get off tobacco. But it is just as hard to quit because of the nicotine. So, do not start smoking or vaping. Nicotine is very addictive.
My cousin was a pack a day hard core smoker. She took to her bed for a week to quit smoking and it worked. I figure if she could quit smoking, anyone can quit. Best move is to never start. You will spend the rest of your life trying to quit.
I was a smoker for 20 years and after a few years of trying I stop wanting to smoke and stopped buying cigarettes. If you want to quit smoking you can do it cold turkey.
My dad stopped smoking when my mom (a doctor) took him to the hospital morgue and showed him a smoker's lung. Too bad that's not an opportunity available to everyone.
People will quit for different reasons, sometimes health isnt the driving factor for quitters. Any time I have tried has primarily been for things like money, smell and aging appearance.
I smoked 2 packs a day for 15 years and failed to quit many times. Then I read the book easyway ti quit smoking by Allan Carr it was the best decision ever. Never want to smoke again
I smoked a pack a day for 27 years. Nicotine patches helped me to quit and build off the nicotine addiction (its the worst part). Havent smoked for 158 days and counting 💪🏻.
We know the answer for long term: He is definitely smoking still. All he had to do was make a choice not to light the next smoke immediately, he didn't have to cage his head 😂 btw, you can still fit a smoke through the cage. If you can fit a straw, you can fit a smoke.
He still could have died from cancer, which is probably why he is no longer heard from. Just because you stopped smoking doesn’t mean that the damaged that’s already been done magically goes away. You can get a smoker who has stopped smoking to expel smoke that is still lingering in his lungs, months after he or she has stopped.
I’m trying to quit smoking right now and literally that cage thing is the actual measures that you have to take to not smoke that is how powerful the addiction is so if you have never started smoking, I beg you to not ever smoke. If your friends tell you that it’s cool. It’s not cool. Your friends are not cool. They are immature because they have no idea how bad addiction can get
It's not that easy to quit smoking. I was a two packs a day diehard smoker even on oxygen and doing chemotherapy. 4years ago I fell into a coma and when I regained consciousness I had forgotten that I even smoked😆 Still not smoking thank goodness!!!
I've never smoked in my life but now that I'm too old to get lung cancer, I'm thinking of starting. I probably won't live more than ten more years, and that's not enough time to get cancer from smoking.
My dad also smoked 2 packs a day for decades until he stopped a few years ago. He tried the gum and patches etc and nothing worked, until he just smoked less and less until he stopped completely.
My father in law just quit cold turkey when he fell and broke his leg one winter because he had to smoke outside in the garage. The floor was icy. He died of lung cancer even after quitting for ten years. The damage was already done, it seemed.
I'm currently on RUclips shorts when I should have been asleep... I didn't think of physical hinderances ig, only tried lock apps and all other digital measures... This short gave me an idea, what if I taped my phone screen leaving only necessary area.
Quitting is actially more deadly than just to keep smoking same with drinking . Most die soon after they quit. They wouldnt if they just continued. I tried to quit drinking and nearly died cuz of it. You CANT go cold turkey. Even doc said im lucky i survived trying it. Had seizures and brain bleeding.
The determination this man has is incredible, I hope he’s keeping it up.

This is just my theory btw I loved his dedication ❤
AGREED.. the part with the straw means he could smoke
Also it's quite necessary to just take it slow by reducing the number of times he has to smoke since the withdrawal would hit him like a freighter truck if he really just stopped altogether in an instant
He wouldn’t have any cheat days period if he got his wife really upset. Why? Cause she’d throw away the key
@@captain-generalothinus3640what withdrawal? Plenty of us quit cold turkey. It's easy

Andy jiang:"no updates....... Dk where he is today..."
My guy he in turkey
My uncle smokes, he told me, "i rather die from cancer, then stop smoking." IG THATS WHY YOUR GIRL BROKE UP WITH YOU
I quit smoking in 2014/2015 not because I wanted to but because I had no choice.
It's a bit like quitting drugs.. the first 3 days its the hardest 😫 wish you well & keep it up 👍🫡❤
My cousin was a pack a day hard core smoker. She took to her bed for a week to quit smoking and it worked. I figure if she could quit smoking, anyone can quit. Best move is to never start. You will spend the rest of your life trying to quit.
He really trust his wife for his life.
This is the definition of “No pain no gain”
I was a smoker for 20 years and after a few years of trying I stop wanting to smoke and stopped buying cigarettes. If you want to quit smoking you can do it cold turkey.
Stop smoking is the best gift you can give to yourself ever!
As a Türk i am rarely proud of my people, this made me smile looking at the fact that we smoke WAY TOO MUCH. top 5 world.
Aferin o lardeşimize🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🔥🔥🔥🔥
Legends know that this is a reupload
My dad stopped smoking when my mom (a doctor) took him to the hospital morgue and showed him a smoker's lung. Too bad that's not an opportunity available to everyone.
Very effective!
People will quit for different reasons, sometimes health isnt the driving factor for quitters. Any time I have tried has primarily been for things like money, smell and aging appearance.
@andyyjiang cultural lesson: Ibrahim is Abraham. Emphasis on the first syllable. Love your content.
I heard he later got a job at a bingo hall.
I have a kid at our school named Ibrahim... 😭😭🙏🙏
I pray that he made it. I’m also a heavy smoker, and have tried so many times to quit. Maybe this will work for me too, lol.
Sorry for bringing this up but a cage that is built by coper only is not a device
Bring this to America
I can easily stop smoking 🚭
I hope hes doing ok now!
I smoked 2 packs a day for 15 years and failed to quit many times. Then I read the book easyway ti quit smoking by Allan Carr it was the best decision ever. Never want to smoke again
*sighs because my dad as been smoking 2 packs a day for the past 20 years as well*
My mom smoked like 2 to 4 packs a day, and she was able to quit smoking
I smoked a pack a day for 27 years. Nicotine patches helped me to quit and build off the nicotine addiction (its the worst part). Havent smoked for 158 days and counting 💪🏻.
As a turk
Yeah he quit smoking and having a happy life
Discipline over motivation
True sigma mindset 💪 🗿
That's determination. Hopefully, it worked long term.
It did. The wife threw away the key
Considering a straw and a cigarette have basically the same diameter I don't think the cage prevents anything.
i was thinking just that. he coulve just squeezed the cigarette through
This is true dedication
We know the answer for long term: He is definitely smoking still. All he had to do was make a choice not to light the next smoke immediately, he didn't have to cage his head 😂 btw, you can still fit a smoke through the cage. If you can fit a straw, you can fit a smoke.
“Successfully gone a few days without smoking for the first ever” my man was smoking in the womb
The wife gets no credit 😂😂😂😂
2 pks a day for 20 years....dude, just buy a casket
the withdrawal must've been crazy
also this reminds me of bdsm
2 PACKS A DAY!!!!
That’s bunta fujiwara
If Türkiye has the kind of tobacco taxes we have in Australia those 2 packs a day would cost him $AUD100, or about $USD65.
Turkish people are built differently.🇹🇷
Legend has it, she still hasn’t unlocked his Chasity belt.
So he could fit a straw through to his mouth but not a cigarette?
20 years of Smoking Cigarettes (2 packs a day), too late now he's probably already got Lung Cancer.
That's awesome 😎 I need that 😂😂
Do what you gotta do 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽
I used 24 hour patches, also gum for the hard times, mixed with champix (which only worked a little for me). I've stopped for around 4 years now 😊
He still could have died from cancer, which is probably why he is no longer heard from.
They are immature because they have no idea how bad addiction can get
Sorry for everybody's loss.
That’s a Turkish blend of crazy and genius.
Jesus heals! Turn to Him
It's not that easy to quit smoking.
Bunu da kaptırmadık çok şükür
Finally, something that does not deserve darwin prize
Don't forget guys, even a single cancer stick can give you cancer.
Bro can fit a straw through the cage but can’t fit a cigarette 😅😂
2 packs for a year = $40 x 365 = 14600
20 years = 14,600 x 20 = 292,000
bro could have brought a nice house :skull:
I hope it worked out for him. Wanting to quit but you can’t is the worse feeling imaginable
If he could drink through a straw, he could smoke.
How u gonna hit it
My father in law just quit cold turkey when he fell and broke his leg one winter because he had to smoke outside in the garage.
As a turkey person, i know that he is alive
Can drink through a straw... but cant smoke? Ion know bout that blud. Straw is pretti cigarette shaped
I saw my mom tell my great uncle to stop smoking and i did too. He cried, threw the pack out the window, and quit
