National Speed Awareness Course

The National Speed Awareness Course allows drivers/riders who have committed the offence of speeding to be offered a course in the area of their choice, providing the force in question has adopted the national scheme arrangements.
The course lasts approximately 3-hours and is delivered in a classroom, or online as a Digital Classroom iCourse.
Completing the course makes it less likely that people will have another speeding offence. The course is designed to give people information and tips to help them know: what the speed limit is; understand why a few mph makes a difference; control the speed of their vehicle; and select a safe speed.
