I think the GX100 is phenomenal. Easy to work with, sounds amazing, and easy to achieve good presets in short time. Also, using bluetooth with the iOS app is super smooth. Poly tuner as an added bonus.

There is no info on whether the outputs are balanced or not, so i assumed they are not. Watched some videos and one guy said he uses balanced cables to get rid of dibox and that confused me. Do i need a dibox, mono cables or balanced cables for a stereo connection for live use?

Just the GX at the moment, the internal routing is a lot different. I imagine you could download the GX editor, load these in offline mode and copy the settings into the GT1000 though.

Hey Leon, your GX-100 videos have pretty much sold me on getting one. Great content. I'm on the market for a multifx board to get quality tones like I can get on Amplitube 5 but on a mobile/fly rig. I was thinking HX Stomp and a wah so I tried Native out for a week to get an idea of what Line6 can offer but unfortunately I couldn't get tinea that worked for me (80's hard rock and metal). Then the GX-100 came out and I saw your videos. Great stuff 🤟. Subscribed to your channel.
Leon....please help...why are my tones edgy and brittle...im going direct into a powered ev cab.i also used powered jbl's .my guitar is a jem7v..all i keep getting is that edgy fizzy tone when i use any sort of overdrive or distortion. I appreciate any advice that would fix this..thank you .

It’s good you can stack as many as the same effect as you want my only criticism I’d prefer something like the Headrush touch screen but it sounds great 👍
Leon, I have been absolutely addicted to this preset for the last 6 months or so. I play it for almost everything. I have recently gone from just jamming to recording and producing, and i am desperate to get this kind of tone using plugins. Any tips?
@@LeonTodd I'm getting close to the sound I want, but there is one thing left. I really like how you pitch shifted the LT lead only 11 cents up and down, but most pitch shifter VST's i can find can only shift in tones or half tones. Do you know of a VST that does in cents like the GX-100 pitch shifter does? Thanks again!
I’m testing the GX100 and FM3 at the moment. While the FM3 is insanely more tweakable, the GX100 sounds amazing and seem to have some secret sauce to its amps. I’m blown away by it.
@@musik4life24 It is a much better idea to connect the GX-100 to a valve head using the 4-cable-method. Look it up. This way you're using the preamp section of the GX-100 with only the poweramp of the valve amp. This will sound better than going from the GX-100 to the amp's input. Also, the GX-100 has different in/out settings. You need to choose the correct setting (don't use the direct recording setting when going into a valve power amp + cab etc.)

Boss have nailed the crucial midrange and valve-like gradual clean into drive transition that puts them ahead of line 6 etc, IMHO. Nice presets, btw!

What are you missing with the gx 100 that you get in the gt 1000? What justifies the higher price of the gt1000?
You can run more simultaneous blocks on the GT and there's a few control related things the GT does. I honestly prefer the "streamlined" GX.
How do the dirt stomp box models sound? Does the Metal Zone sound like a Metal Zone, the HM-2 like an HM-2, etc.?
Pretty decent - pretty sure it's the same tech the OD-200 uses

You'll need to add a volume block and then assign it to the pedal. If you watch my first GX-100 video I touch on the ctrl and assign pages briefly.

There should be instructions on the BOSS site. You'll need to use the BOSS Tone Studio software.
