Completely agree. As a software engineer I have been designing and implementing UI (User Interfaces) for decades and in my opinion Sony is the worst with Boss second. The Boss Micro BR 80 is a spectacular example of "how not to".
I've been a software engineer for nearly 20 years and never heard of a 24bit processor, you might be thinking of 24 bit AD conversion or signal processing. The processor will probably be 32 or 64 bit. [edit] Yeah, the Boss website says 32bit processor, 24bit AD/DA.
@@truetom Well, you learn a new thing every day. I guess working on desktop and not really having done much embedded I've never come across them. Even when playing with Arduino and PIC's I've only ever seen 8/16/32bit. However, this unit does have a 32bit CPU and 24bit processing, so I was at least partially correct!
So Line 6 put out a katana recently and now Boss has put out a pod go....interesting! Seriously though, competition is good, keeps everyone in line so i love it. Great job as always.
This is way more advanced than the POD Go much due to the POD Go´s limitations when it comes to the effect chain and just 4 freely choosable effect blocks, the Stomp XL is closer in comparison for functionality, but it still lacks touch screen, expression pedal, possibility for adding bluetooth with phone app, has less blocks etc. Even with the bluetooth dongle the GX-100 is still cheaper than a Stomp XL also. The POD Go is a great option though, just wish it had more freedom in how to use its power. I agree that competition is good, it gets us better devices at better pricepoints.
This looks very interesting to me. I've been a Boss junkie for a loooooong time. I still use a GT-6 an immense amount of time in the studio because it's effects are so damned good, and the Katana gets used at gigs for the same reason. Sim wise I've heard some other units that are stunning, but the effects quality and types have kept me coming back to Boss again and again. I also find that Boss's wah quality is just unmatched, so I hope that carries over too.
I too still use my GT-6 for my studio. I just love it. I recently bought a HX effects to run into a clean amp. I'm almost tempted to get this one now and forget the amps for gigs where I run into a PA.
@@accentontheoff well I've got no experience of the gx100 but the gt6 remains my go to recording option despite plenty of other options. I guess the advantage of the yamaha thr is that it can act as an interface. Can the gx100 do this?
Agree with the critics about the GUI on the screen. Still, I have been waiting a few years for a multieffect with basicly more or less just a huge touch screen and a few foot switches...
It sounds good, but honestly, for the price difference, I think I would still just go with the smaller GT-1. It doesn’t have a touch screen, but it has a simpler interface and has more of the classic amps built in. (ie, Soldano, EVH, Hughes & Kettner, etc)
I hope they release a good and newer version of boss me 80 that unit is so much easy to use specially when tweaking on stage its so straight forward and maybe called it boss me 90 or me 100 😁😁😁
The way the C-1 works on the GT-1 I have is say you have a clean amp sound and for a solo you want a overdrive/distortion, delay, chorus those can all be on the C-1 switch but it's the same amp model. Instead of hitting the patch change foot switches.
I agree with Lee. I had the same reaction upon seeing the display screen. Blah... Never a good look for a new/upgraded product that looks 20 years old. That being said, Its an impressive effects unit.
I'm curious to know how this sounds/performs with bass. Are there any bass players in the comments who have this that could shed some light on their experience with this unit? Thanks.
Good demo. Very happy with my GT-1000 and my SY-1000; which retired my GT-100 and GT-1 + SY-300 respectively. Years ago as I was trying all kinds of modelers including Line 6 Helix LT and Axe-Fx Ultra, and several others over several years, I found the Boss kit worked best for me. Still have a Zoom G1Xon and B1on, but I'm good with Boss. Whatever modeler you choose, it's worth spending the time to learn it, understand it, to get the most you can from it. Cheers!
17:45 sorry, they're not super close. I'm watching on a smart tv, so not super hifi, but yet I feel the difference. There's something missing in the GX sound when compared to the amp. IDK how to explain, maybe dynamics, maybe presence. I guess it's related to mids or high mids. The amp sounds more open, probably it's just EQ and possible to tweak.

Cool , love Boss products I own a Boss GT1000 and a GT100 , so this has the AIRD tech so its gonna sound good , why hasn't Boss made this just as Powerful as the GT1000 , thats the reason I bought the GT1000 for its processing power , it hasn't froze on me yet and the options you have for connecting is unbelievably good. Alot of people say that the GT1000 is not easy to use , maybe not for a first timer but there are thousands of Vids on how to use these products Nobody's going to be stuck.
3:04 There isn’t really a “layman’s terms” meaning there because 24 bit vs 32 bit has to do with technical details that “laymen” aren’t expected to know or understand. It certainly doesn’t mean that one’s faster or more powerful than the other. I suspect this one’s using 24 bit integer values to process audio (“CD Quality” is 16 bit) and the other one’s using 32 bit floating point values.
Can we all just say THANK YOU to Lee and team for getting Dig-it-ahl John onbaord and going?!?!?!!?!? I love to hear your thoughts and how you present DJ!! 😀 THANKS ANDERTONS CREW!!!
It’s the 14th of February in 2024 as I watch this review. After having spent 2 or 4 months meditating on getting the GT-1000 Core, I must admit the GX-100 might be more appealing. In terms of give-and-take, I would not miss the additional input or effects send on the Core, compared with the extra switch/pedal options and that touch screen for programming patches without needing the software. (Your description of the onscreen multicolored graphics resembling 80s computer games is definitely not a detractor.) It might be less portable than the Core, but it’s still more compacted than my modeler dating from 2018, the Boss ME-80.
Another correction (or maybe this is just out of date) There are 150+ effects in this unit. And they dont do synth or slicer pedals, they have harmonics and octave.
A small screen is inconsequential as you can set it up with a tablet and you wont be using it during a performance. I'm not sure the 24bit vs 32 bit affects the sound or not, but it sure does sound good from all the samples I have heard on the net. Perhaps RUclips compression hides that, I dont know. If this thing sounds good live then it really looks like a winner to me! It is the perfect size to gig with. It has everything needed to gig with. It's laid out with functionality in mind. I think it could easily replace a big pedalboard! I can't wait to get one!
Specs say: 32-bit floating point - its probably a 32-bit processor; maybe the non-DSP related stuff is even 64-bits. 24-bits is the AD/DA conversion - which is absolute standard nowadays. The difference between 24-bit and 32-bit AD/DA conversion is most certainly not audible. ;)
Yeah, but also we have to consider the 48khz sampling rate. I would love to see a comparison between this device and Gt1000, which has 96khz sampling rate.
Sure would like to know what switching pedal you re using to compare valve amp and gx-100. Also how you do connections to and from gx-100 and valve amp...thank you
Awesome run down fella's, although I would have liked to see more amp comparability. Hard to say as I'm buying a blackstar st.james 2x12 6L6 50watt amp. It has built in effects, so I'm not sure whether or not to purchase one. I would like to hear that it sounds like through my Marshall MG 100. Cheerz lads, Chalki 🤟🧑🎤🎸🎵🎶🎶🎵☮️☯️♾️🏴☠️🥳⚡
@@accentontheoff It's probably fine for that. I'd probably just use a plug in myself. I was just saying that personally I would want it for live performance without an amp. And if you're going to use it without an amp you'll need to plug directly into the mixer and you'll need a DI box because it doesn't have an XLR out
If you want to get into multi fx , buy a used Boss GT1 , honestly it’s amazing for practice and recording ( didn’t use it live , but wouldn’t use multi fx anyway , sadly it’s guitar , one or two pedals and amp for me ) . I recently traded up?? to GT 1000 core ( size of unit was issue for me ) and apart from very nice shimmer delays , weird never to be used again noises and very nice stereo routing twin amp sounds , I’m missing the ease of use that the GT1 gave me. Okay it looked a bit “my first multi fx pedal” but I recorded two albums worth of guitar with it ( The Delicate Giants “Earthworks” and “Moonworks” ) and it did the job fine. Don’t forget all this IR boll0# is a new groovy hip thing , all my fave guitar tones were recorded in the years when it was just an amp mic and speaker , don’t get pulled into the cork sniffing hipster oh it’s not 500k bit arc ram processing thing , just make some for people to dance , drink and fuc# , just make music 😊👍
There is really so much for your money here with some of the boutique single effects pedals costing half this unit price This plus an FRFR can do so much
My biggest problem with the GT-1000 was with high gain amps - I just could not get a sound that had good mids but was not fizzy in high mids. Probably that would’ve been solved with external IR’s, but that defeats the whole point of AIRD. This seems to be the same. However, at this price point GX 100 is much more competitive.
Same with my Katana head. The Brown channel was good but I recently went back to a tube head (Revv Dynamis 7-40) and the difference is simply staggering. It's 5x the price of the Katana head, sure, but it's worth it for me. The tone is just so much more punchy, warm, responsive, great barky mids (Red channel) and the clean channel is chimey and punchy as well. The cleans here are better than I expected (better than the Katana) but nowhere near the Dynamis. The higher gain tones are disappointing though. I'm sure tweaking things would improve it, different cabs, etc. If you need all those different sounds then a unit like this makes sense. In that respect, the Katana was surprisingly good and eventhough my Dynamis sounds way better to me, the Katana holds its own against a lot of other amps in the higher gain realm. Not the same tech as the AIRD thing used here though. I have to say I have yet to hear a convincing AIRD based higher gain tone from any unit. But with the Dynamis, the tweaking is minimal. It sounds great right away. It's a simpler more specialysed piece of gear of course but at this point that's what I wanted. For what we do in my band, I do not need 15 clean flavors and 25 different high gain amps. The Dynamis delivers the tone I've been looking for for years. My tone. The playing dynamics are just on another level. I'm using my older Boss MS-3 in 4CM in the Dynamis fx loop and to control my rig (the Dynamis has settings controllable by midi). I do not need a multifx with amp modeling so the MS-3 works much better for my needs than this would. Boss should really release a similar unit to the HX stomp. Just FX, no modeling. Lots of other players like me already have their amp tones covered and just need effects. The MS-3 is great but starting to show its age. A unit like this GX-100 but with just FX would be awesome!
I just got my GX-100 and am running dual X-Modded amps in stereo both with the internal 8x12 cabs selected but different preamp EQ and Mic settings. A single X-Modded sounds awesome too, I just like the huge sound of a dual rig. The mids are great; there is no fizz in the high mids. It sounds very much like a high gain tube amp, very much like my Fender Machete. Based on what the other GX-100 owners say on forums, the tone of the GX-100 is a little warmer than the GT-1000, which is preferable to a lot of people. In this demo they did not pick the best amp for high gain because it's too thin and fizzy. For high gain, it's all about the X series amps in the GX-100.
@@StephaneBergeronPixelyzed The GX-100 is priced less than the stomp but with very similar features, so Boss already did that. Just don't use the amp modeling and only use the effects. That's how I use it with my tube amp.
@@Nightbreed82 Hi!I made a mistake when I mentioned the HX Stomp and said that BOss should do a similar modern unit. I meant the HX Effects which I actually bought soon after this to replace my old trusty MS-3. Like the MS-3, the HX Effects has no amp modelling and that's what I wanted. But here again, the difference is pretty stark. The HX Effects signal is cleaner, more detailed (better AD/DA converters than the MS-3) so I'm happier with the HX Effects in my rig now. So Boss does already have the MS-3 as an effects only solution but the hardware itself is showing its age and, software wise, it has never evolved since its release while the entire HX/Helix series has had numerous significant software upgrades in the last few years. That coupled with much greater flexibility for controlling external gear as well as internal stuff. The MS-3 was getting way too limited for me. I think that's the other area where Boss is lagging behind. The PC/Mac editors (both the Katana and MS-3 ones) are pretty terrible and the hardware seems so limited that new features rarely materialize. Happy for you that the GX-100 sounds better than some demos would let on. That's what makes it hard to choose sometimes as the quality of demos is so variable. I was not a fan of Line6 modelling before but, hearing the pedals and rack effects models in my HX Effects as well as the amp modeling in Helix Native and HX Stomp and bigger Helix units have changed my mind. Other than direct capture devicces like the Kemper and Quad Cortex, I really think Line 6 leads the hardware devices modelling world right now.
When you compared with a real amp I think the onscreen highlights are not very clear…. Does the “green” text mean that’s what we’re hearing? The white text looks more like a highlight… still not sure which was the one I’m hearing
I know this is an older video but I need something for a three set gig with a six piece band that is simple to use between this and the head rush which would you feel would be a better fit any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated thank you.
I'm an acoustic looping soloist. Boss came out with the VE 8 and it's been great but it needs some improvements. Mainly, the looper needs undo. Can you guys see if you can talk them into upgrading it?
I don’t know guys. I have to say that I definitely hear a big enough difference between the Boss and the real Deluxe. I’m no tube snob. I love my Helix and won’t ever go back to a tube amp but that Deluxe definitely sounds fuller. Maybe it’s the room you’re in?
I really liked this walkthrough! I have a question that I hope you guys can answer. I bought the Boss GX-100 not long ago and I'm starting to use it. I also have a PODxt Live. With the PODxt I can have one effect on at a time. In other words, when I have one on, the other effects are off. That's awesome because I do not have to switch an effect off in order to not included, especially on live events. Can I do the same with the Boss GX-100 while in manual mode? Thanks.
The switching on the gx100 is the most flexible I have tried (line 6 and QC). You can assign multiple parameters to any switch. All done through assign / ctrl menu
I love my GT-1000! It's my main effects board pairing it up with my 150 Waza, but sometimes I do just use its built in amps. I may pick this up as well just to have a new toy and maybe pair it with my MK. II Katana head/cab.
I didn't vibe with the hi gain. I rarely do. Luckily, I wouldn't be using it for my hi gain tone. The effects are impressive as you might expect from Boss.
High gain is easy once you understand that the modeled amps do not behave like real amps when tweaked. They actually all react about the same.when you get a modeler. But, the modeler doesn't model the actual amp....but actually what it does do, is model an approximation of what most ppl agree is how the Amp sounds like recorded . To elaborate...if you A/B a modeled Amp and a real Amp with the same settings....they will not sound the same. However, if you set the modeled preamp flat with the Amp eq, and A/B that with a recorded guitar using the real Amp that's been eq'd well..they will sound very similar. I learned this about modeling along time ago,and it's why alot of guitarists don't jive with it. It doesn't react like real gear when tweaked. It works more like a dedicated DaW for guitar. Learning to use the EQ right is the key
what should I think ?NUX MG-30 has more DSP 32 and this one 24 and NUX costs something about 200 pouds ..... I got mash up in my head . Collecting money for Boss (I have already Katana mk2) or go for a NUX? Las NUX has a very good opinions ...... for this money ....
Good demo of an average bit of kit… John and the captain are a good duo and very good at explaining everything but don’t think this is that great a product. Currently a Helix user but have also dabbled in a few other digital machines so not biased towards any particular brand. I think the problem that Boss has is that the amps just feel a bit too digital when they get any level of distortion on them and they haven’t fixed that yet - something some of the more budget brands have improved on. I love the Boss pedals that I own but don’t think that they’ve quite mastered the digital multi-fx units just yet. If I was buying a new device at that price point then think I’d go for the newest hotone ampero stomp instead.
I am new to all this and have had a boss katana MK2 50 from you about a year ago. Really liked this can you just plug headphones into it for silent playing and can the boss katana MK2 50 be used for speaker. Many thanks
At 24:17 the question is very pertinent but not totally answered. Wishing someone could complete the answer here. Question: So to switch as fast as possible between two différent amps, let's say from a very clean sound with flanger and reverb TO a Dual Rectifier Hi disto type of sound with little delay, no reverb, no flanger. Is this unit able? I have a Headrush, and the delay between 2 rigs is problematic for my music. I have a Mesa Road King II head and only use Channel 2 Fat voicing with very little gain (very clean) and Channel 4 (Modern full disto). Unfortunately, this mutli tubes head is too powerful for band practice using in ear sound for instance. Bottom line, I need two (2) very distinct sounds, with as fast as a real amps Channel switching. Is the GX-100 allowing instant switch between 2 different rigs ? Thank you in advance. Kind Regards
It's sounds really boss, naturally compress, good for some type of sounds but not like a real amp sound to me... Hard to explain but some digital sims does have the sound but not the feel. I recently sold all my multi FX (LINE 6 PODX3, BOSS GT's, Zoom) and made my first pedal board (od's, boost + TC Plethora + IR loader) it's night and day, my sound just got far way better, better dynamic, more air. I rediscover tones these days.
it sure is but a pedal board and a tube amp is a lot more non practical and way way more expensive than buying a mg30 and playing thru the board . for some of us its not worth all the extra money and effort for "feel" . then you have the issue of where you live , a lot of us live in MDU setting where a tube stack and pedal board wont fly . what it comes down to is this , as guitarists we need to play thru what suits US and not let that define how we percieve our brothers in sound . asfter all we are brothers . rock on .
@@peteytwofinger Got it, I just explain that i made an independent pedalboard without an amp, so i can travel with it and put it in a console by xlr or an amp eventually if there is one on site. @Mauro Castelnuovo Kemper is 2k and boss is 559. Kemper can do better
Hey john ... what would you buy .. boss gx 100 or valeton gp 200
This was an awesome walkthrough. Thank you! I loved the SxS comparisons the most
I've been a software engineer for nearly 20 years and never heard of a 24bit processor, you might be thinking of 24 bit AD conversion or signal processing. The processor will probably be 32 or 64 bit.
[edit] Yeah, the Boss website says 32bit processor, 24bit AD/DA.
There are a lot of 24 bit processors e.g. the Motorola DSP56000 family.
The ui is great and it sounds stellar. Bought this and more than happy with it.
Yet another solid bit of kit from BOSS 💪🏻
How do you guys record the GT-6. Via an amp or through an audio interface. Or something else.
@@accentontheoff very simple really. Guitar - gt6 - scarlet focusrite interface - pc - reaper. I always default to that or my yamaha thr10x
@@spiceybadger Thanks. Sounds great this way, I presume? Planning to buy the GX-100 for the sole purpose of recording and can’t demo it where I live.
@@accentontheoff well I've got no experience of the gx100 but the gt6 remains my go to recording option despite plenty of other options. I guess the advantage of the yamaha thr is that it can act as an interface. Can the gx100 do this?
Totally agree with Lee on the graphics interface. Those Budget modellers are doing an awesome job like the MG30 or Valeton GP200.
Ya, fair play Lee on that one, and for referencing headrush
Very much a Father & Son feel when Lee & John demo together
Agree with the critics about the GUI on the screen. Still, I have been waiting a few years for a multieffect with basicly more or less just a huge touch screen and a few foot switches...
Get the Quad Cortex. Awesome device and with new updates it even gets better.
@@endrwenigr Nice choice but it's three times the price here so not really comparable.
Headrush all the way :)
@@DoctorMcFarlandStudios gonna try one.headrush
The Headrush, it sounds fantastic.
It sounds good, but honestly, for the price difference, I think I would still just go with the smaller GT-1. It doesn’t have a touch screen, but it has a simpler interface and has more of the classic amps built in. (ie, Soldano, EVH, Hughes & Kettner, etc)
GT1 is also built into a Katana for no extra money
Yo man, maybe u know how to turn off a cabsim in gt1?
@@XpldedSplit I think you set the output to Recording , thats how its done on the GT1000 , Its been a while since I owned a GT1.
I’ve had the GT-1 for a couple years. It can do a lot for such a small unit. An external footswitch really opens up possibilities.
@@joeprod1 it has an external input for another expression pedal
I hope they release a good and newer version of boss me 80 that unit is so much easy to use specially when tweaking on stage its so straight forward and maybe called it boss me 90 or me 100 😁😁😁

Your dreams came true, did you buy me90?
Thanks.
@17:18 the "color" of the sound is the same ! Great ! But the sound of the GX-100 seems a bit dead.... compression ?

Why are you typing in such a strange way?
Cool , love Boss products I own a Boss GT1000 and a GT100 , so this has the AIRD tech so its gonna sound good , why hasn't Boss made this just as Powerful as the GT1000 , thats the reason I bought the GT1000 for its processing power , it hasn't froze on me yet and the options you have for connecting is unbelievably good.
Alot of people say that the GT1000 is not easy to use , maybe not for a first timer but there are thousands of Vids on how to use these products Nobody's going to be stuck.
I don't think it's really ease of use as in figuring it out, more of user friendly in such that you don't have to go in and out of menus on the fly
THANKS ANDERTONS CREW!!!
I like how the captain just keeps it real with these reviews!
Hi Cap! Nice job with reviews and demos. What AB switch did you use?
It’s a Lehle one - great switches!
Another correction (or maybe this is just out of date) There are 150+ effects in this unit. And they dont do synth or slicer pedals, they have harmonics and octave.
Dont care for product, Im here for Digital John, his playing and charming personality.
I just got one 4 days ago. At first it seemed overwhelming but I'm seeing the door slowly open up to the possibilities. This is my first MFX unit
Once you've programmed in the patches you want, why does the appearance of the touchscreen interface matter?
Would love to see an overview of this in regards to using it with a bass. Maybe Mr King can go a quick bass pedals/amp usage vid when hes next in. 😉
More clarity and 'air' on the valve, but hey, good news, audience won't really notice in live situation. This GX 100 is interesting.
Digital John is much appreciated!
Well, I guess the BOSS KATANA MK Amps series will get an update for Christmas this year: like a small screen, like the Fender GTX :)
Pitch shifters are the best way to test the processing power.... how does that sound?
I have been looking to complete revamp my rig (downsizing). This looks interesting.
I love this series of videos, please keep them coming.
New presenter, nicely done. And really nice playing as well.
what cab are you using for the room with the GX-100 - the laney FRFR?
This looks great, and I'll bet no one can hear the difference in quality between the GX-100 and GT-1000. Maybe a blind shootout is in order?
The difference is virtually imperceptible, I was astonished
Specs say: 32-bit floating point - its probably a 32-bit processor; maybe the non-DSP related stuff is even 64-bits.
24-bits is the AD/DA conversion - which is absolute standard nowadays.
The difference between 24-bit and 32-bit AD/DA conversion is most certainly not audible. ;)
Yeah, but also we have to consider the 48khz sampling rate. I would love to see a comparison between this device and Gt1000, which has 96khz sampling rate.
@@joelmunoz7646 also not audible. At least over RUclips.
Personally I feel the Line 6 Pod Go still trumps this price bracket!
love to see lee get excited about non traditional stuff
When using headphones - is there any easy way to input music from a phone or computer to play along with - instead of wearing 2 sets of headphones?
Bluetooth adaptor
I can hear a massive difference between the real thing and the model. Pretty sure some strategic eq could fix it though
Sure would like to know what switching pedal you re using to compare valve amp and gx-100. Also how you do connections to and from gx-100 and valve amp...thank you
Is it in a metal case or plastic?. I know people are a little picky over plastic cased multi fx pedals.
Can the amp models be turned off so I can run into the front of my favorite amp(s)? Thanks!
Awesome run down fella's, although I would have liked to see more amp comparability.
Hard to say as I'm buying a blackstar st.james 2x12 6L6 50watt amp. It has built in effects, so I'm not sure whether or not to purchase one.
I would like to hear that it sounds like through my Marshall MG 100.

more of these units should have XLR outs... I was skeptical going in to this but honestly, I think that it sounds pretty good
How ere you recording it.
@@accentontheoff I'd use it for live. Need a direct box without xlr out.
@@terrillmel You saying it’s not good for recording into computer?
@@accentontheoff It's probably fine for that. I'd probably just use a plug in myself. I was just saying that personally I would want it for live performance without an amp. And if you're going to use it without an amp you'll need to plug directly into the mixer and you'll need a DI box because it doesn't have an XLR out
@@terrillmel Got it thanks. Which plugins do you prefer btw.
Does it works on LINUX and ALSA with not drivers ? Like my GT-10B, GT-10 MFX ?
The GT-1000 Bluetooth doesn't hook up with a computer, only a tablet or a phone with the TS app. I would doubt that this one will either.
I believe the GX-100 has some bass amps as well.. could we get a bass demo as well? Thanks in advance!
There is really so much for your money here with some of the boutique single effects pedals costing half this unit price
This plus an FRFR can do so much
I need a class on how to work the GX100
A High cut to 3-6k will help that out immensely.
Alex Hutchings: Am I a joke to you??
Kidding aside, John did a great job, bravo!
In these"straight to desk" scenes, what are you using as studio monitors?
Thanks.
Si se puede .

The switching on the gx100 is the most flexible I have tried (line 6 and QC). You can assign multiple parameters to any switch. All done through assign / ctrl menu
I’m a fan, Captain, but you really love hating on Boss’ multi effects stuff. I don’t know why that is, but it’s really apparent.
So the x amps are bogner, Friedman, uberschall, Deizel, Rivera?
I love my GT-1000! It's my main effects board pairing it up with my 150 Waza, but sometimes I do just use its built in amps. I may pick this up as well just to have a new toy and maybe pair it with my MK. II Katana head/cab.
Yes like other comments it does sound okay but the competition out there now is immense.
You touched on the switching of patches but then unfortunately missed to demonstrate how how fast and smooth (or not) it was. Otherwise good video.
Would love to know how you create your own signal chain, save and name?? Really struggling with this thing.
What’s the pink HSH thing in the background? Looks wild!
It's Lee's Oopegg guitar. They sell the brand at Andertons.
If I don't care about the touchscreen.... and I already have a GT 1000, would this be an upgrade at all?
No.
I need better instructions on how to work the Gx100
It is so funny, that Boss released their own version of Helix at the same time when Line6 released their own version of Katana :D
Boss please send one to Dave Simpson bet he would.get some amazing tones out of it 🤘🙏
Can you use one of the outputs (or headphone out) to just send the bluetooth signal (say backing tracks) out seperately to a different mixer channel
I played the club scene with a ME-5 and a JC120 in the late 80''s. It was a great setup.
JC 120 is still a great amp
Can you use both of the amps as a mono?
i loved my ME5 first multi FX i ever bought it sounded proper back in the day
I have a me 20 still going
Think I'll stick with pedals. Sounds great; too much studying for me though.
what should I think ?NUX MG-30 has more DSP 32 and this one 24 and NUX costs something about 200 pouds ..... I got mash up in my head . Collecting money for Boss (I have already Katana mk2) or go for a NUX? Las NUX has a very good opinions ...... for this money ....
Nice video Captain......It would be good if you make the same video but this time with the Zoom G-11
Yea you can switch instantly, I have this unit. Going from clean amp to high gain amp.
This is Dougie from McFly!
Don’t even know how I know that but I’m an expert at keeping useless info such as this! 😆
(pedals > Plethora > NUX Solid Studio). It's just a liitle more heavy than a regular pedal board but it worth it.
“More air” lol. What does that even mean?
Boss gx100 vs line 6 pod go which is more suitable for quality and simplicity
GX100, I have both and the GX has more flexibility and I think possibly sounds better... the pod go could never dream of dual amps and 15 FX chain
Did they go over the looper but I missed it?
