      Oh bru, you have no idea how badly they wanted to. I’ll have to go to the desert and rent one for them to experience. They love the Jeep, but this is something that is so much faster and funner!

    I'd love to hear the story of how you used to detail so many Polaris vehicles!

      I am filming a few details this weekend. I will have to incorporate a story time into one of them and then make sure that is the first one I edit. Will be a few weeks, but I’ll totally do it for you my bru.

    My friend bought the Launch Edition when the Prop R 1st came out. They are insane. That button on the steering wheel is the push to talk button for the COMM system

      Good eye bru! That was totally it. Talked to them after pickup. I guess they installed that not too long before they dropped it off.
      I can’t believe what these things are capable of. I would love one, but I also love my Jeep.

      @@SinCityDetail I know I have talked about it in some of these SXS videos, but I can’t remember which ones. I sold these things for a very long time. I worked for a dealership (Polaris) up until the 900s were out and then the 1000 just hit the street as I moved on. Couldn’t believe how incredible they were. The game changed so much in just a few years that I was there.

      @@SinCityDetail oh awesome! It is wild to go back and ride in the first gen. Remembering how awesome they were, and then ride in something now. They were awesome, but tech has come oh so far.

    Man that thing came out better than I thought it would, whenever I think about detailing something like that I can’t help but think how much more intricate it would need to be, and I know it was a little awkward spraying the inside of that thing with the pressure wash, it goes against everything a detailer does on a regular basis. Looked like that thing was set up to be road legal, was it registered or did they have to trailer it.

    • @P4SDetails
      @P4SDetails  Год назад +3

      It was a lot of fun to detail and it for sure breaks the soul a little using the foam cannon on places where you feel like you just shouldn’t ha ha.
      It was totally street legal with a plate and the customer drove it up to the shop. Not sure how Florida is (you move already right), but in Utah, as long as the city population doesn’t exceed a threshold, you can mob these guys on the road. Pretty much most of Utah is legal for it.

      @@P4SDetails nope still in Indiana, not sure of exact time frame for moving to Florida but I’m hopping for it to happen before September, I’ve lived in NC,PA, upstate NY and now Indiana and as far as I know as long as a dirtbike, 4 wheeler, side by side has mirrors, Speedo, headlight and tail light and is registered and insured and is above a certain engine cc, it can be driven on the road, NY may have some restrictions depending on the area ( the city for example) but I think as long as they have those things ur good to go. I’ve never lived anywhere where a dedicated place to use those was easily accessible so I never really saw the point to getting one even though I’d love to have one. I resorted to mountain biking 🚵‍♀️. That’s a lot of fun but man do u work for the fun downhill sections. Most I’ve climbed was 1200 feet but then I had 1200 feet of downhill fun.

    Any worry with off-gassing of the new plastics with the potential of plastic discoloration (the black plastic)? I'm looking at coating my Polaris RZR, 2022 as well, and don't want to put a ceramic coating on it and cause it to fade. I have the UK 3.0 from CarPro and was told not to apply to the dark plastics but was given the green light for the painted plastics. Thoughts from your experience?

    • @P4SDetails
      @P4SDetails  Год назад +1

      I’ve done ceramic coatings on plastics and paint. One thing that I notice very plainly is that it just doesn’t last on plastic like it does paint. It makes it look great for a year. Maybe two, but then it just kinda fades. I have been using the ceramic coating when I do the paint, and then I go back and touch it up with Ceratrim from The Last Coat or CarPro DLUX. The large pores on plastic just change the equation a tiny bit.

      VRP bleeds a bit. But some of the other products I have used typically don’t.
