"Not Afraid" Live Original. I saw them LIVE, and I went out of that venue half deaf and blown away as if I had just watched a pro rock band in a large venue. And I'm 68, been a rocker since 1969, Not everyone is going to like the same thing as others but then that would be a very boring world. And as long as people aren't nasty with their comments, then I don't consider negative remarks "disrespectful". Listen, you're not exactly an interesting reactor, and I watch plenty, but many thanks for your comments anyway. Keep rawkin.
This was five years ago, so Sam was twenty, Abigail (drummer) was nineteen, Melody (vocals) was eighteen, Ethan (bass was thirteen) and Justin (keyboards) was twelve. That’s a lot of talent at those ages. In their videos they often dress to fit the theme, so carnival outfits for Carousel, black and white striped outfits for the cover of the White Stripes Seven Nation Army. It doesn’t apply to every video, but it often does. I don’t judge them by their stage or video costumes, but by their music. Two other live performances you might want to watch are their cover of Master of Puppets featuring Aiden Fisher rather than their video although that’s quite good too and the live performance of their original Not Afraid (extended version) which is a compilation of several performances of the song woven into one video. BTW, Melody and Sam had their long hair cut off and donated to a charity several years ago, which makes wigs for children who have lost theirs due to chemotherapy or illnesses that have caused them to become bald. Melody is growing hers back, Sam seems to be enjoying shorter hair, probably not surprising because they live in Georgia which is a hot and humid state now. ❤️🦇
Check out Vertigo live at Woodstock in 2021, chunkier bass and amazing vocals. Also, Not Afraid extended version has a compilation of all live performances during their 2022 Moonlight Tour. Melody just melts the mic.!!
I love Mel singing Piece of My Heart. You'd swear it was Janis a lot of the time, but with even more energy. That live version from the Cummins show is awesome!
March 1st, 2024..a NEW, ORIGINAL OMV will be released by Liliac.....look for "Rise UP!".... Live at MadLife, 2023..and encore song after a 90 minute show....Master of puppets....Ftr Aidan Fisher as the second guitar....
You weren't at all disrespectful, but because they built their original following on covers they get a lot of criticism that that's all they are, which is total BS, and the fans get pretty hot about it. You didn't really do that, but you skirted close enough that you tripped a few land mines anyway. I suggested you try some of their originals, and I'm glad to see you're doing that.
Unfortunately because most of Liliac's live performances are offered as fan phone videos with all the problems that this entails, there are very few quality offerings, There are two more excellent performances from this same gig , both tribute covers and both amazing . Thebre is also a whole concert from Woodstock GA I believe its called MADLIFE but I could be wrong as I'm not American and not up on the different concert venues but it exists and has excellent audio and lighting, they play another original VERTIGO which is one of my favourite Liliac songs and features Ethan on his bass, incidentally Ethan can shred almost as good as his brother Sam for confirmation checkout their tribute cover of Iron Maiden's THE TROOPER. Its good you are warming to Liliac's music ,and I hope you continue to react to them ,you have everything to gain . FANG4LIFE RORH
Venue supplied light show. This was BEFORE they cut the long hair off and donated it to Kids with Cancer...Same singer, sorry. Papa Liliac was NOT happy with the lighting on this show..
Okay grandad.... now.... it's time to react to *NINGEN ISU.* Ningen Isu is an old Japanese band still kicking ass with 23 albums (for now). Songs: *Heartless Scat* _or_ *Farewell to the World.*
You will find you will get a lot of often stupid comments unless you rave about Liliac and dare criticise anything about them .but dont be put off they do a lot of good stuff and keep being honest
I like this especially for their age. But let's face it Liliac does not compare to Asterism, Lovebites, The Warning, BandMaid and other bands on this channel that are putting out quality music and touring all over the world. Appreciate them for what they are--a good RUclips band who has been successful enough to do small tours and play tier 3 festivals.
@@ket0_t0ne39 Unfortunately at the present time whether you agree or not this is the Truth and plain and simple facts and i would put Plush in there as well who have been around half as long as Lilliac who are moving along in leaps and bounds while Lilliac continue to stagnate, if they want to have any chance to make it in the industry they need to seek outside assistance someone who will give them some honest feedback and improve their knowledge and skillset because what they are doing now is not working
@@ket0_t0ne39 LOL! The Warning must live in your head 24/7. But he isn’t wrong. Since you brought up The Warning, I find it rather telling that while Liliac just announced a sort of mini-tour in Florida (close to home), The Warning will spend the entire month of April in Europe. They’ll be headlining 19 sold out shows in nine countries. And they are heading back over to Europe for the month of July for the rock/metal festival circuit, including Mainsquare in France, Mad Cool Festival, Madrid, Spain, and the granddaddy of them all, the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany. Other venues will be announced. And that’s just the European portion of their 2024 world tour. No doubt Liliac is a talented band. They play what, 40-50 shows a year in mostly small venues in the U.S. Nothing wrong with that but it will not get them to the next level. The Villarreal sisters, on the other hand, will tour three continents and play for hundreds of thousands of people. They have already made it to the next level. No clues needed.
Liliac has played in India and Romania to name a couple of other countries. They started touring the US on February 1st and their schedule at this point goes into mid September when they team up with Vinnie Appice for three concerts in Illinois that are a tribute to RJD during his time with Black Sabbath, Rainbow and Dio. Also in April they will be playing with Great White, Slaughter and Quiet Riot at the San Antonio Margarita Pour Off. In August they’re part of the Guitars Under the Stars concert series. They changed booking agents this year so that could be the reason their tour schedule is fuller this year. I don’t know about The Warning, BandMaid etc, but up until now they most of them were still in school, even though they’ve all graduated at age sixteen. Justin turns sixteen this year and is the last one still in school. An additional thought, Liliac is still independent, they don’t have a label backing them like the other bands you mentioned.
In my opinion this song is the when Liliac were at their best.Melodys vocals are more "natural"instead of being "forced" and theatrical like they seemed to be nowdays. There is no doubt that she can sing but i just she would calm down a bit
Still haven't got a clue, have you....theatrical? it is better known as putting on a Show....Melody is always getting the crowd involved, go to some of their LIVE shows and just try to sit...you won't. so, just go away....you are getting very boring...like you are Thummper-Thummper's kid brother..
Live in Woodstock Ga. 2021 entire concert is available.
Yes! This is the best intro song for this band. Another good live is “Vertigo” live in Woodstock, GA.
Enjoy!
Fang4life! RO&RH!
🤘😎🤘
Piece of my Heart from this same concert and Not Afraid extended version!
Was known as "Hair at the Fair" Concert, actually..
Not Afraid ( Extended version) was how they started a concert,,then they did NOT let up for the next 90 minutes
I love the way they formatted that with a compilation from a bunch of different concerts.

His take on a Paul Gilbert solo, from Mr. Big.....
Pretty good considering Sam was, I believe, 19 at the time!
You should check out Liliac originals- Hypothermia, Annabella, Hologram.
They do a Janis Joplin live.

They cut off that long hair and donated it to Kids with Cancer....BTW
A take on a Paul Gilbert solo?

You have my permission to move on from Liliac. There is just nothing creative or original here.
Idiot of a Warning TROLL....must be a great Liliac song, due to all the Trolls that show up...
Like anyone at all cares about having your permission for anything. lol
Nothing creative or original in your comment. Troll.
