I was there. What a cup run that was for the O's. We then went up to Middlesbrough who were a form team back then and we sang and cheered through the whole 90 minutes 0-0. with John Jackson the hero. Did the same back at Brisbane road where Kitchen scored another wonder goal, Joe Mayo added a soft one to put us in the semi final. McDonald scored two of the flukiest goals you will ever see for the Gooners. O's lost heart and never recaptured their previous cup form. Another disappointing afternoon among many for a lifetime O's supporter.

Greatest player I ever saw in a Doncaster Rovers shirt can 't believe how much he would be worth in the modern game! Saw him score so many goals like this for Donny he was just a natural! Thanks for putting this video up, its brought back so many great memories!!!!

in today's money,he'd probably go for about six hundred million dollars, give or take, depending on the circumstances if he picked up the ball and he already had six hundred million dollars in his back pocket to pay back the chairman and he picked up the football and said"verily,I tell thee this day forth,1484,in might of the king, his majesty,I pledge my allegiance to my new football club and promise to defend the honour of any fair maiden,Saxon,Norman or otherwise, from this day forth.the club would probably be happy to pay out six hundred million dollars, give or take half a billion.hut if he just picked up the football and stuck a knife through it ,shouting"I flaming hate football, they should blooming ban it!"then you've had it!they won't even give you half a shilling to go and get a cup of tea from burger king.he would be lucky to even get a job on the bins.!

Fond memories of being a kid in Donny. Peter Kitchen and Brendan O'Callaghan up front. We've never had a strike pairing coming even close since then.
    Brilliant stuff

I was behind the goal for Kitchen's pair, remember the superbly taken first well. As a Chelsea fan, i wasn't happy, but well done Orient. Kitchen was a very classy player. Chelsea had knocked out Liverpool 4-2 in the 3rd round, surprising combination of results.

Was at both Orient and Liverpool games and also when we beat Burnley in the re arranged 4th round tie at the Bridge. Also went to Highbury after the Burnly game had been called off the previous Saturday and a few hundred of us went over to the Arsenal v Wolves tie. We got a mention of match of the day that evening for gate crashing the match lol

Typical Chelsea side of the time...beat the European Champions in the previous round and knocked out by a 2nd Division side the following game, although to be fair Chelsea were 2nd division only the season before and Orient had some great players in Kitchen and Jackson.

Brilliant night, we beat Middlesboro after a replay,in the next round, with Kitchen scoring the winner after a draw at Ayresome Park.

beating chelsea.1-0?amazing win.didn't they concede seven at home to chelsea around that time?(3-7?)that is a turnaround.never got going against arsenal.didn't seem to get at them.if ever you are up against a mighty opponent or an ivan drago,if you don't go straight for the throat,in most cases, you hand it straight to them always try to unsettle a superior favourite or opponent!always get that vinnie jones on steve macmahon tackle in,three seconds into the whistle!

Hope you will be back in the league soon. It is terrible what that clown of an owner has done to your club.
