- After his vote-buying pledge to forgive student debt was decisively struck down by the United States Supreme Court, Joe Biden as decided to ignore that minor inconvenience and is out there pitching it again, meaning the current Democratic plan to hold the White House in 2024 is:
1. Giveth
2. Taketh Away
3. Giveth Again
4. Repeat until re-elected

As someone that worked through college to pay for it, the idea of student loan forgiveness is very frustrating.
Shoot. I paid off all my student loans, and now I have even more to pay for!
INDEED - MY WIFE CHOSE A CAREER IN THE MEDICAL INDUSTRY -- PAID IT ALL OFF IN 15 YEARS -- WILL SHE BE REIMBURSED ? AS WE WATCH AMERICA SWIRLING AROUND THE TOILET
I paid off mine and my kids. Now I feel like a sucker.
@@texasman1836 YEP
Ditto.
Student loan forgiveness is a slap in the face to me *personally* I'm still in school. I didn't take loans, or rely on mommy and daddy's money. I worked, attended part time, moved halfway across the country and got a new job and a new school so I could pay for it. Now you want to stick me as a taxpayer with the bill of a bunch of do nothing college pukes that got useless degrees? Now I'm paying for a million other's college as well as my own?
I paid as I went and got a 4 year degree in 11 years. I’d like a refund
Yep. You learned skills other than what was taught in the classroom, and if you apply that, you'll never be wanting for money! The gvt theft scheme is out of control though!
THAT'S ABOUT THE SIZE OF IT - AIN'T SOCIALISM GREAT ? MY WIFE GOT A LOAN BUT I DIDNT - WORKED ALL THRU MINE FULL TIME -- WHEN I GRADUATED IT WAS PAID FOR -- SHE PAID HER LOAN OFF IN 15 YEARS CAUSE SHE CHOSE A CAREER IN THE MEDICAL INDUSTRY -- AND EASILY GOT A JOB TOO -- WE TOO MOVED 700 MILES FOR GOOD JOBS -- NOTHING BUT BUYING VOTES IF YOU "AXE" ME -- PITIFUL - AMERICA IS DECOMPOSING RAPIDLY BEFORE OUR EYES
Me too. Originally, I studied music and borrowed money. When I realized I wouldn't get a job with that, I worked and went back to school for a more useful degree without borrowing any more money. That time, it took me four years for a Masters degree because I worked and went part time. Then I spent another 18 years paying off my student loans.
Biden and his oligarchs are disgusting.
It's good to see Zo is still around. I feared he had been sent off to the Gulag because of wrongthink.
Nah. Bill took a break to az. Zo is spendy cause he's the beezkneez and bill thinks they ran through all the virtues...
If college loans are so egregious that they need 'forgiveness', why are new ones still legal?
How the F is it taxpayers responsibility to pay for educations we didn't choose.
It’s called: buying votes for the DEMs at the conservatives’ expense.
Why not, we're swimming in debt. Print me another 100 trillion.
i only want 50 billion... so i can afford some bread and milk
Wife got a 4 year accounting degree from the local community college in 2.5 years. I think the tuition was 3500 a year. She worked part time and we made it happen. I'm so proud of her efforts. She was deans or presidents list every semester. She has a good job at a great company now.
She'll need it to pay for other people's student loans through higher taxes.
Zo! Good to see you man!
Since I didn't go to college can Joe pay my mortgage?
Car/CC payments... I mean, it's all debt one took voluntarily...
So glad to see Zo Rachel! ❤
And he nailed it.
If college isn't a scam then why would these borrowers need help paying off the loans now that they are out of college with high paying jobs?
Free money. Guaranteed income. Those who have been responsible will provide a carefree life for those are not.
Liberal magic.
Or, you could do what my relatives did; when I was born my great aunt started a savings account and contributed to it regularly along with other relatives. By the time I graduated from high school my college undergrad costs were paid for. I even had a small nest egg left over after graduation. There's no law prohibiting people and families from doing this.
Hey, good to see you, Zoe
Yay! ZOoooooo!
The federal government took over student loans not to make it something they dole out, but rather, student loans have a finite amount of forbearance and deferments one can receive before one is in default. Once the government took it over, I’ve seen forbearance and deferments extended to unlimited ends. This virtually eliminates the risk of defaults which makes the economy look healthier that it really is.
Government guaranteed student loans are a scam.
They charge top interest and amortize the loans that the borrowers have to pay on for ten to fifteen years before they start actually paying down any of the principal.
🤔 hence why so many liberal arts ‘students’ have no concept of what they are signing for.
I worked 3 jobs to pay my way... But college was easily 1/3 the current cost just 25 years ago!
Student loans should never have to be more than 1.5% apr.
Can you say "generational bribe" boys and girls?
Great to see Zo again! I had lost "contact" with him & it's nice to hear his voice! 🤘🏻🤘🏿🤟 😝
In one defense, I have two coworkers who will never be able to pay their school loans back. One guy has paid more in interest than the principal and still technically owes more than what he borrowed. The other has had his wages garnished and the payments are set up to never have the loan paid back.
So while I am against a general loan forgiveness policy, there are some cases that I’m ok with it
Scott, it's interest. It doesn't have to be repaid by anybody. A student borrows $40k but because of the government finagling now has a $100k loan to pay that would have only been $60k if Obama didn't fuck with it. If Biden forgives that $60k of interest caused by the government, the student still owes the $40k he borrowed.
The interest isn't just magically dissappearing. It's being paid off to the banks that are holding that debt. This isn't welfare for the borrowers, it's welfare for the banks that the borrowers are failing to pay. People need to quit assuming he's doing this for the borrowers. He isn't.
If Jobozo’s is only forgiving the interest portion of these loans, then I will assume that taxpayers will be paying off that interest? Because I am sure that the banks won’t just surrender any of that profit that they were counting on.
Jewish law says that every 7 years all debts are forgiven.
If that was current law, you would see a lot less loans going out. Who would loan money to someone if it couldn't get paid in 7 years?
The only way that works is if it's in the law prior to issuing the loan and there's an understanding that based on the analysis before issuance of a loan that it is responsible or basically a charity. Also it's not issued by government or banks. But from one individual to another with a contract drawn by a court. There are also ways to override. And the loan has to be freely given. You can't tax a loan from citizens to give to a person of the governments choosing. So no these debts by Jewish law cannot be absolved. As our great sages have expressly said, socialism/Communism is theft. And theft is one of the 3 things that caused global destruction. It's also one of the reasons sadom and gamora were destroyed. Judaism absolutely doesn't permit this. It's a terrible sin that will lead to the destruction of any society and country according to our oldest and most mainstream observance of God's word.
@@RPSchonherrthat was exactly the case. But loans were from one individual to another. There was usually a collateral. It's illegal to tax people in order to give a loan. And based on pre analytics, a lender understands if it's basically charity or can expect repayment. Also if there are preconditions in the agreement or it's an obvious abuse, loans are not annulled and still owed in order to prevent abuse and allow for people to give loans without fear of no legal protection. That person's statement is extremely obtuse and not how it's applicable. Loans are not taxable by fiat from the populace. It would be considered theft by Jewish law.
It is theft under any law except one that is corrupt!
As I approached graduation from U.C Berkeley I went looking for their Employment Assistance Office, only to find it didn't exist. I assumed there had to be one. Silly me!
Small world. While attending Berkeley, I learned to love drugs and hate Whitie.
Always nice to see Zo
Very glad to see Zo back!
yes but endlessly disappointing hearing these guys constantly pushing the 'us against them' dems vs. repubs primitive
prop a ganda b.s. - oh and bring on the c e n sor ship
In '64-'65 it cost me $715 for 21 credit hours at U of AZ.
When will they pay for contractors 100k trucks since most didnt go to college?
and, $100-K is just a pickup these days; not an actual work truck.😟
In all honesty, student loans should have no interest. Paying back the principal can be a big enough challenge, but many can barely make the interest payments.
Interest on student loans used to be under 1% but hourly pay back then was 95 cents! Still took me 10 years to pay it off! Gross pay on my first IT gig in '83 was $32 k / year and on that salary I could afford a house!!
student loans are amortized, and require 10 to 15 years of payments before the borrowers even begin to pay toward the principal.
Hence why liberal arts students have no concept of what they are agreeing to when they take out the loans.
Great to see Zo again! Your input has been missed, sir!
heh heh heh That's a *GREAT* meme gentlemen! Bravo!!!
Also, there is nothing about THIS Govt./Judiciary/Law ENFARCEMENT that deserves a *PENNY* of our Tax $$$'s.
We get *(ie EARN)* exactly the kind of society, govt. and nation *WE* tolerate and enable!
"Never underestimate the ability of Joe Biden to .... "
Yes, why not national debt?
So good to see Zo
Yo! Zo! What's up, man. That's a pleasant surprise I wasn't expecting.
Drove by Baylor on my Texas eclipse travels and it was unrecognizable... So many new buildings.
Scott, the last time I checked we are not a "wave your hand and it's so" country. We have three institutions of government that must agree before it's so. There will, I'm sure, be a challenge that the Supreme Court will have to decide on, and I'm pretty sure they will decide against Biden.
The Executive Branch is very deeply entrenched DEMs, and as a result completely ignore Court rulings. The Legislative Branch no longer does their job as directed by the Constitution, and will continue on ignoring the Executive Branch’s wasteful illegal use of tax $$$$
It was great to see Zo on, miss the Virtue Signal
Congress needs to legislate that these egregious overcharges by universities for bloated administrative and operating costs must refund the $480 billion back to the borrowers, less a reasonable fixed basic amount determined by three national CPA firms to cover each year of education, then roll back interest to no more than 6% and tell the usurious lenders - including the Treasury Dept - to pound sand for charging anything greater than that amount.
Right before election time again
My partner and I have been paying on our loans faithfully. Now our child wants to go to college for a field needing a degree in math and science. We've explained that the way to go is to work and go to school. Don't rely on loans.
ZO!!!! Glad to see you back.
Hi, Zoe !
Scott sort of almost, but not quite, beat me to this one, since I was going to ask if the next debt forgiveness scam might be forgiveness of home mortgages.
Like Harry Potter Joe Biden has a magic wand but unlike Harry Potter, Joe Biden's "magic wand" erases student loan debt.
Those who have their student loan forgiven have to pay income taxes on the forgiven amount. So, for example, instead of paying $20,000 over 20 years, they will have to pay $5,000 in next year's federal tax return.
good movie
Take a moment to think about what is really being done... this isn't about helping the student borrowers, it's about earning the goodwill of the banks that are servicing these loans.
Who regularly has a usery fee?
Need more Zo on the show.
Obamacare that took over student loan's and then made it illegal to discharge that debt any way other than repayment or death caused a lot of these college issues.
The Government charged usery fees on their loans and by ensuring colleges would absolutely get as much money as they wanted to charge, caused the price of college to skyrocket. Death spiral. If Biden just forgave the interest on all those loans and made them pay back the principal then that would be a lot less crap than just wiping them off the books. and that would take care of all those that have been paying for 20 years without having to add provisors and anadems to the bill...just "we forgive all student loan interest. if you've paid off your principal, you're good, if not, keep paying".
Rubber mattress... Aka a gumbie. Great for sledding the stairs or as a shield in dorm wide airsoft wars...
The government now owns your home mortagage. What about mortgage forgiveness???
My son and daughter in law went to Chiropractic school and between the two of them accrued over $100 grand in student loans. They were in their 20s when they went to school and now are in their 50s. Just last year, their loans were forgiven. they have been paying for their education for 30 years! We bought their house for them, because they couldn't afford it. We homeschooled their children and they both got grants to go to college and are debt free. I think going to college to get a degree that is an actual profession is senstible but to go to college for the sake of education (indoctrination) is a waste of time, money and resources.
Well, AOC said that if the loans were paid off then the students would have time for vacations, extra classes, etc.
😂
By “etc”, you mean smoking lots of weed.
@@Sigmund1924 yeah, probably that too.
@10:26 Scott Ott nails it. This is all for show.
Bill Whittle looks different in this video. Did he get a haircut?
Zo!!! I miss you!!
My question is what policies are the other party doing for the US citizen? We're so busy criticizing. What are we doing that's going to fix things.
Everyone who gets their loans paid will probably have to pay taxes on the gift...
You’re talking about mostly liberal arts students. Unlikely they’ll even file taxes.
Scott, so on the nose. It's flashy politics, aimed to divide.
Biden...the Master of UN-Accountability!
Zo's question 9:20 in was actually answered by Steve's question 5:20 in - why go to college? To get laid, of course. Free tuition plus free abortion equals good times at college. Then misery for the remainder of your life.
The Supreme Court already ruled that Sniffer Joe couldnt do this
Stimulus checks made inflation, so will this
Do I get the degree as a tax payer?
🖤🛡️⚔️
Hay, Biden lost all his hair plugs!
Looks exactly like Ann Margaret’s husband in “The Cheap Detective”.
Zo is back, I missed him
Oh please. All one would have to do is counter student loan forgiveness with home loan forgiveness. If you're gonna buy votes, at least help the landowners.
Biden 2024!
why? SURELY that was sarcasm
LOLz
You have to be at least that smart(as a bag of hammers)to go to college.
Zooooooooooooooo!!!!!!
It was no issue all the times we bailed out banks and big corporations. All of a sudden when its normal people its a problem. Get a grip.

Second!
Its nobody's fault but mine I failed to complete GI bill and student loan funded Philosophy degree. However I was not told until a year after accepting a loan that I was qualified by being a veteran that had been to Baghdad for my per-credit-hour cost to be almost the exact amount of the loan less than I was charged. Also my fault I had know idea then that Philosophy is practically free to read and know if you do not end up buying a degree in atheistic humanism at an honors college while sitting in classes with other students and professors who hadn't yet seen the reality of life you had in a voluntary term of service. I do not want my student loan forgiven, but it is tough to forgive the DOD and school for messing up my leaving paperwork and not giving a lower price that was not designed to give something for nothing even though my time in Iraq may have been for nothing or worse. Plus the fact that no info. on my debt was given to me from 2018 to 2022 when I was earning more then, before other government mishaps as bad or worse than my drinking partying days slowed down the industry I work in. Don't feel sorry for me though, I thank God I'm not a university philosophy professor making way more money to indoctrinate youth with nonsense but working hard at a railyard getting exercise and doing something others actually get something from my work. Hopefully the gunked up gears of government will possibly relieve some of what they claim I owe in student loan debt, but if not I look at it this way I am alive and it was better to rapidly flunk out of that system in a year than go longer.
