This is the second video of yours promoted to me tonight (this and the play dough technique) where you’ve used super novel techniques from Created and Made Studios channel. It would be nice to see a link to her videos showing the techniques so she could also get some new followers/a boost in the algorithm from the very original technique she took the risk to test out to show the rest of us. It’s great to acknowledge you saw another artist do a thing, but please, at least call them by name if not link to their videos.
Hi! Thank you for your comment. Actually, I couldn’t remember where I saw some of the techniques (I watch a ton of art videos) so I will add a link to her channel in my description! Thank you!!!☺️
You might could use your gel medium to pick up your plate and keep the alcohol ink color showing through. Thank you for filming your experimentation! I’m always learning from others’ experiences.
Hi! Yes, I had no issue getting it off of the plate! I usually don’t clean my brayer each time, but I did after that, and I would definitely suggest doing that! ☺️
Great video. I ❤❤❤ your suggestion for a video on making a more planful gel print. I have such a hard time keeping the layer reversal straight in my mind (although it does help to look at the back side of the plate).
This is a brilliant way to use metallic leaf, some great collage papers! Can't wait to try it. Was it easy to clean up the plate/brayer after? BTW, Love your kitty's artistic comments, not a distraction IMHO. I had a Ruby cat too, a red Aby who I lost just a few months ago. 😢
I really would love to try this, but is it a problem to clean the gelliplate and the brayer??? I am VERY excited to try this but dont want to buy a new gelliplate after. But I enjoyed this film so much! Greetings from Switzerland
Hi! Thank you for checking out my channel! As for the Gelli plate, I had no issue at all pulling up all of the foil, just like a regular print. As for the brayer, I just had a container of water that I immediately put it into and cleaned it off. I typically don’t clean my brayers every time I use them, but this time I did, because I didn’t want the foil on it, and it also came right off. I had absolutely no issues! Good luck! I hope you give it a try!☺️
Thanks for your answer. I really had to do this immediately yesterday because I liked your work so much. And it's really not difficult ti clean the plate and the prayer after! Thanks again for that wonderful idea!!!!!
So, technically, yes. Real copper foil would definitely oxidize, and they do make a sealer specifically for that. I’m using a faux copper foil here. It would probably benefit from a sealer, as well, but I haven’t used one…yet…☺️
Ruby is talking to you because you are talking to the camera. Ruby sees there is no one else there so logically thinks you must be talking to her.... She's just asking you what? Huh? And trying to answer you. Oh and great video but it made my cats answer Ruby... I bet they are commiserating saying yeah Ruby - my person talks to no one all the time too (when I do videos)... Lol
This is so addicting...
Couldn't wait to SEE the Next one... and the one after that...
Thank you so much! They are really fun to make!☺️
FABULOUS idea! Going to try immediately!
Yea! Have fun with it!

@@ArtworkByMelissaReed Thank YOU for rectifying the oversight so quickly. Artists supporting artists warms my heart. Have a great Sunday. 🙂
Always happy to experiment but it helps when I see the demonstration first. Thank you for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!☺️
Loved how the papers turned out TFS.🤙❤
I’m so excited about this new-to-me technique. Cannot wait to use on a collage. Thank you, Melissa.
You’re welcome! I felt the same way the first time I saw it! It’s just so fun!
Very cool! Thanks for sharing your experiments with us!
Thanks for watching!☺️☺️

That’s a great suggestion! I will try that! Thank you!
Fantastic can’t wait to try this! Thank you for sharing
It’s so much fun! I hope you enjoy!☺️
This is beyond awesome - thank you - great results!
Thank you so much!!😊
I wanted to try with my brush off bits of leaf but was worried about ruining my plate… looks like it will be fine and I’ll give it a try. Thank you!

All of them are so awesome. Thank you for sharing your experiment. ❤love them all.
You are very welcome! This is something I just learned about myself, and I just had to try it! Very very cool results, I thought!
That is AWESOME!!! I love shiny! Definitely going to try this. 💜💜💜
It’s such a cool technique! I can’t wait to see what I can do with these sheets!
Super fun! Would love to see detailed prints please!
Coming soon!☺️
Would love to see the more detailed gel prints😊
Coming soon!☺️
I love how they all turned out. I’d say your experiment was a total success! ❤️
Thank you! I think they’re pretty cool!
I love how adept and creative you are. I had not encountered this idea before and think the results are scrumptious!
@@G.G.8GG Thank you so much!!☺️

Hi! I will definitely be doing that video at some point in the near(ish) future!☺️
Great idea! I am going to try this. Thanks!
Isn’t it cool!? Soooo many possibilities!
Thank you!😊
This is new to me. I love this 🖤
Give it a try! It’s pretty rad!

Thank you so much! Not much to be done when a kitty wants to be heard! 🤣🤣🤣
Great experiment. Thanks for sharing. Have you tried alcohol ink on the plate first, then the foil, then the paint?
Hi! I haven’t tried it in that order yet, but I definitely will! Thank you for the suggestion!☺️
This is totally new to me. Thanks for the introduction. Even the ghost prints are great.
It was brand new to me, as well! But what a cool technique!☺️

Do you have to seal this to prevent it going green?
So, technically, yes.

Nothing new: Created and Made showed this already.
@@Zianettia Just making some collage papers because I wanted to! But, hey, thanks for being snarky!
What kind of paper do u use?
Hi! I use a combination of regular tissue paper, wet strength tissue paper, deli paper, and regular copy paper.
