Don’t know why In the UK we get the lesser version, no HUD, no JBL sound system, no heated seats, not even the same leather seats, uk ones are fabric and not as sporty.
I raised this point with Toyota UK, unsurprisingly they showed little interest. No idea why anyone would pay a premium for one of these when you compare it to specifications elsewhere in Europe.
Exactly. Toyota uk head office are really ignorant and don’t care at all what customers want and strip the uk spec cars a lot while been priced the highest of all eu
Profit! Less spec + higher price = make more money. They are also incentivised by the Government to push EVs, and TGB also seem to think we want stupid crossovers and not proper cars! Oh boy i got one too and im very glad igot it. It's sporty not for it's performance which is very much close to the others versions, but more for it's feeling on the road, and it's also very economic in fuel, with my peugeot 208 i used to have to refill it 2 to 3 times per month, with this one i did a full month with 1 single refill. Definitly a good car
@@apsogos4ever me? yes. it is definitely at home in the city. i drove to czech on the highway once for 5 hours and thats definitly not the car for it but damn in the city its agile. surprisingly quick in the city speed limits. sice the electric motor helps the engine i had some standofs with BMW's and managed to get away quicker. obviously its not a racing car but surprisingly swift and super frugal. i turned my average meter to trip (cause my total average is pretty ruined by the very long highway drive) and from work to customers and home i manage mostly 3.7 L/100km average. but i also managed 2.5 already but thats highly dependant on your drving style and batery charge. i personally make it a game to let it glide and recuperate as mucha s possible and i can easily go about 650 -700 km without fueling up
Not if you slow down a bit! He's rather harsh with how he's riding ramps in this video, IMHO. No amount of suspension set up will counter driving too fast for the road. I generally find the ride to be very good.
Salut ! Bravo et merci pour cette vidéo sur cette finition de la Yaris qui m'intéresse précisément ! Question : a-t-elle un GPS intégré ou est-on obligé de passer par son smartphone ??
It's fast enough to lose your licence in most countries. It has no shortage of power, and I've not found it necessary to go into the power band to climb even steep hills.
AFAIK the output of all the M15A-FXE are the same across the Yaris range. What you get with the GR Sport is tuned suspension, lighter/faster steering through enhanced power steering module, stiffened body, and wider tyres. Owning both a Cross (Excel) and Yaris GR Sport, I can say the GR Sport is definitely more fun to drive. The Cross is excellent though. After driving the Yaris GR Sport, the weight of the Cross becomes more apparent. I can throw the Yaris GR Sport into corners and it just laughs and wants to go faster.
I might want to buy a Toyota in two years and I would like to know when the car will be electric and when the car will start using petrol. Will the car drive between 0-50 km / h electrically and on top of that on petrol?
Maybe Sport and CVT doesn't go together, but automatics are great. That's why many proper sports cars only come in automatic these days (DSG/DCT included). But I think it's OK for this car, it's not really a sports car, it's just a styling package.
No it isn't. It's functionally different. It has tuned suspension and modified steering feel for a start, as well as stiffened body. It handles quite differently (far better) to the other Yaris. @@tzeimet
Why not? The fact people don't like the way Hybrids drive shows a fundamental lack of understanding of drivetrains. It's not even CVT LOL! They just call it that.
But these hybrid cars are not dedicated to sporting performance. In my humble opinion I would see this GR version as a sporty "dress". It is clear that it cannot be considered in any way related to the version with the classic combustion engine which has more than double the power. They are not comparable at all.

De rien. Oui, je trouve qu'il y a une (trop) grande différence. Si tu préfères le confort, je choisirais une des autres versions sans doute.

I’m led to believe that low profile tyres on larger wheels generally provide firmer suspension.
