    The black knot lets you see the soap when loading. I have done a couple of shaves and thought I didn't have enough but I was wrong. Highly recommend

    I am planning to get a Phoenix brush with one of my next orders. I like this one because you can see through it, and that makes you less vulnerable to ninja attacks.
    You can also tape various pictures on the other side of it to make your SOTD pictures really pop.

    Sounds like an awesome brush. I prefer 24, 26, or 28 mm brushes. However, a brush smaller than 24 mm would be alright if it works well. So far I have PAA’s starcraft, atomic rocket, solar flair, and peregino, and they all preform beautifully.

    Quick comment on misters/spray bottles: they’re cheap and easily obtainable; they keep your hands dry (or dryer) while you’re shaving; they’re much easier to use than cupping water in your hands; adjusting water volume is much, much easier; you don’t have to waste water turning taps on and off; you don’t have to use an additional mug or cup to dip your brush in (while the water gets grottier and more soapy each time you dip); you are less likely to over hydrate your lather while it’s on your face; you get an even spread of moisture on your face - and it’s not 1950 any more. In short, it makes wet shaving easier and more enjoyable. So… try one for a fortnight and see for yourself. Sheesh!

    It's the small brush revolution! First, let me say "Y'all" is interesting as a saying because it is making a migration north. Used to be a southern USA dialect and now young people in Canada where I live say it. Not me; I am old. But back to brushes - PAA makes the best synthetics for the price, hands down. I have 5 and all are great except the 'Doppler' which for me (and by any objective standard so no YMMV is not correct) is WAY too floppy. Kudos to PAA for their offerings and yep this new one looks good. I love smaller brushes and they have a set of 24mm ones that are all fantastic. I will try this one too.
    Thanks for the video my boy Greg! Have a good weekend.

      Thanks Steve! I brought y’all with me from Virginia. I also say “okie dokie” which comes from second grade. I don’t like floppy brushes. So our mileage would not vary on that statement👍 maybe you could test drive y’all. Remember if you’re addressing more than three it is “all y’all “

    • @jmw3938
      @jmw3938 Год назад +1

      Y’all is a bit like the Australian slang “youse” (pronounced ”yooze” and meaning you plural). I hate it, but I’m old too. As for brushes: I like the Doppler a lot! Works perfectly for me. The less backbone (ie stiffness), the better as far as I’m concerned, cos firmer brushes irritate my skin. Flaccid brushes rule! The Doppler also whips up a hell of a lather. So there y’all have it: reasonable minds may differ from time to time. And another great video, Greg. 👍🪒
