I did the same by buying multiple razors and losing focus on the purpose of shaving. I wanted to remove facial hair each morning and keep it moving to save money. I also just settled down to the Rockwell 6S. Thank you for your moment of clarity!!!
Yeah, that’s probably the reason that most of us got into wet shaving, but it sure is fun having a few of the great razors of all time to rotate through. The good ones all have a unique characteristic that makes them stand out. One of my purposes for wet shaving is to totally enjoy something and look forward to something that I used to despise. I promise myself that I will strive to become more practical, hopefully sooner than later.
Want to say you were the first channel that peaked my interest in safety razors. I was on Amazon looking to buy a refill pack of my Gillette Skinguard cartridges when I saw the king Gillette razor, jumped to YT and saw your review. Off into the rabbit hole I went. Never thought I would actually enjoy shaving and I'm 40. I don't think people understand the amount of time and effort it takes to even make a simple video like this. Don't blame you, enjoy the extra time!
I do appreciate your honesty! I am in the same path now, had razors, soaps, creams.. spending money all this time just to realise that a R89 with a proraso or a haslinger soap gives me a great shave.
I’m with you Greg. I’m sitting on roughly 50-60 razors and consistently grab my 6S or 6C. Did not care for the T2 at all. I really need to purge my den like you did.
Completely agree with you, I own a Rockwell 6c & 2c and I think I'm good for the rest of my life with those. Consistent BBS shaves and it's a joy to use!
With regards to the Henson razor. I took the handle from the new gillette razor you can get at Walgreens and used that instead. It made a huge difference. I also have the most aggressive Henson.
Picked up a lord l6 for £4. The head is a clone of the merkur 34c. Very smooth razor. And I'm managing to stick to the objective of saving money which so many people forget about at some point down the rabbit hole lol
Just converted to DE from cartridge and found a local deal on a used 6S for the price of a new 6C, no regrets so far a week in. Like getting a Camaro as a first car so to speak. Some of the comment section makes me think I got the right razor to avoid the rabbit hole of collecting. If it was polished I’d like it more but the industrial vibes are growing on me. It certainly checks all the boxes.
Thank you! I am not a shaving enthusiast. Truthfully I am probably the opposite of one, I am glad you made this video with a simple answer help point me in the right direction.
Greg your very truthful and genuine man.I have watched dozens of your videos. Take time to enjoy you daughter and you will become a great father and will feel God's love for you through her. Your videos will even get better than anyone presently on razors and shaving on youtube....God bless you and guide you. I look forward to waiting for your next video..I will subscribe now..love to all-out family..doug...boca raton,Florida..
Thanks for your video. I am also a big fan of the Rockwell 6S, but there are 3 major design flaws in it: -protruding blade tabs, which is quite annoying -quality control and tolerances can be improved. Blades do not sit aligned and jiggle. -no polished version of the stainless steel version available
I've spend thousands on this hobby. I've owned every razor out there. Wolfmans, Carbons, Timeless, Rocnel, H&S Co., Rockwell, All Razorocks, Henson, All Merkurs, just about all vintage Gillette razors, Karves, etc. There are more but I'm not naming them. And out of all those the ONE razor that I've been shaving with and I love is the Razorock Sloc!
I'm checking out the Razorock Sloc. Seems well liked. I just have very little experience. Didn't like my Vikings Blade chieftain, so I just sent that back. I'm glad because that razor was vexing me. Got like 6 razors being shipped to me. Probably went overboard, but there supposed to be good ones: Rockwell T2 RazoRock Game Changer .76 - Not the .84-P .68-P 1956 Gillette Silver Tech Vintage - Date Code B4 1940'S Gillette Fat-handle Tech PAA Ascension - Twist Adjustable OC (open comb) - I think it's copper. some other no name razors and a Leaf razor for head shaving
G'day Greg, I've truly enjoyed all your videos and above most is your honesty. You say it the way it is. All the best to to you and your family from Sydney down under.
1st time here and 8 months after the video. Man you're an excellent straight up guy providing honest information. I can't find anything that suits a top to bottom noggin shave. Freedom grooming was ok but I still looked for improvement. I discovered Henson in 2024 and I've already minimized its use. It cuts my scalp up and still leaves soft hairs making the shave look ridiculous. At 67 I know a thing or 2 about shaving but still haven't mastered it.
I have many safety razors and I find myself coming back to the 6S. Don’t think I’ve nicked myself on even the most “aggressive” plate, 3 is my preferred plate for everyday shaving and it is always a smooth enjoyable shave.
Hey Greg, love your videos. I also stepped away from the whole RUclips and Facebook involvement. And live is more peaceful now. And….I feel no pressure to buy new stuff…I love my 6S. Actually bought another one as a backup. I don’t need anything else. Especially not a $800 razor. Absurd. Have a healthy 2024. Nothing else matters.
Family is so important. I’m a Grandfather now (“they” call me Baba, thus the name). 6S is all a person needs, but i like shaking it up. My sons all wetshave and they like that I have a collection of razors. They are the reason I collect… they call “dibs” every time I get a new razor.🤣 The fact that they want my collection and will shave with Dad’s&Baba’s razors when I’m gone, is good enough for me to stay active in the hobby. Family first Greg💪🏼🙏🏼
Hi Greg, Great video, thanks for your candor on a subject that is rarely talked about in wet shaving. I’ve come to exactly the same conclusion as you…the 6S is the best razor I’ve ever used out of over 50 razors to-date. I’ve listed all my other razors for sale and purchased the 6S in rhodium for razor emporium and that will be my razor for life now. Have a great new year and stay happy and healthy.
Since I got the 6S, havnt bought another razor in last 4 years. Plate 4 is awesome, smooth as silk, only thing I might do is polish the heads to smoothen them more.
I couldn't agree with you more, Greg. The 6s is my favorite razor, I basically shave every other day, so I just have it on the number 2 plate, which is perfect for me. If I need to, I can always flip it over and use the more aggressive side. I do hope that one day, somebody makes an adjustable butterfly that is as good, if not better, than the 6s. The T2/T2s is not it😂
Hey Greg - just wanted to thank you for all of your videos, and wishing you and your family the best. I skipped over the Rockwell offerings, but I'd love to try them. I just picked up a Rex Ambassador for Christmas, replacing a mid 60s Gillette Slim. With Phoenix shaving soap (on your recommendation!), the shaves have been phenomenal. I've essentially learned everything I know about shaving from you - thank you.
Hey Greg! I agree with you on the Henson! That thing doesn't cut my whiskers whatsoever! I have a couple of the 6S's and a couple of the 6C's. They shave wonderfully! I would say they aren't adjustable but rather interchangeable. You have to physically take the razor apart to change the setting. Nonetheless, it is a great razor system! Some others I like are Above the Tie, Timeless, and vintage Gillettes!! Thanks for your efforts in your videos and Happy New Year to you! JimG
Delighted you found the Rockwells, my favourite too, so smooth to shave with. I have a rule with soaps, wait till one is gone, then buy another, simple but it works. Also my splash is old spice, my dads choice, just love the sent and the way it makes me feel.
Thanks for the video. It really help to introduce beginners like me to the classic shaving. On Christmas I gave a SEYGUS Zeppelin V2 as a presents to my father (Titanium) and brother (316L Steel). What an asimetric (0.5/0.7) DE safety razor! Have a great year!!
Greg, you definitely have your hands full and your priorities right. Family first, always. I have 4 teens in High School, and with one in football, one in cheerleading, another in drama, and the last in band, believe me, whatever hair that hasn’t fallen out from stress, I have to shave off. The razor I keep gravitating back to is the Karve Christopher Bradley Brass. Multiple plates, I’ve polished them so they all look shiny, and no matter the plate it shaves beautifully, so why change? I wish nothing but the best for you and your family for the new year!
I'm with you on the Rockwell 6s/6c it is an awesome razor that has a geometry that most shavers enjoy, it was the razor that saved my DE journey four years ago, also like you said a great choice for a beginner/starter. These days with my aging hands I use lighter razors like the Henson AL13, Karve AL Outlander, TRC AL etc., although I still get the 6c out every now and then. My collecting has also slowed down a lot this year. Happy new year Greg🎉🎉🎉
Can't agree more Sir!... I think about trying other razors but why. It is not perfect but I think it is a really good ALL around razor. Love the weight and stone wash.
Happy New Year! I took advantage of Rockwell’s 50% off special w/ a host of Rockwell sku’s. I used it for a week and sent it back. I got the red model and it wasn’t efficient at all for me. I did 6 passes before I was satisfied with my shave. My every day driver is the Merkur Progress long handle using Astra Platinum razor. 3 passes and I’m done. I know you hate it but put an Astra blade in the Futur on 3. It may change your mind. The milder blade made all the difference. A friend of mine suggested the combo and I’ve been using the 2 Merkurs ever since.
I've got the 6s and the T2SS. I love them both. The 6s is a better shaver for me but I use the T2SS more because of adjustability. The ease of. I agree though. The 6S is all anyone needs. I usually just put it on a 5 plate and leave it. I like the Henson Medium a lot too. It's a great every day razor.
Wish you all the best for this year and years to come .I had take in count your honest and clear review and I succed to pick one of the 6 S, in my country was impossible to find so I buy it from different country close to me was Bulgaria .Your advice about Merkur Futur just put me off to get one and save me time and money and I get a Rockwell 6S instead .I watch it with high interest most of yours review's and I take them in consideration , no matter how future times will come for each one of us what you did to help others to take a decision always will stay . I salute you from Romania.
@@GregTardif Ah, I just watched your video on the Futur. If the "2" setting was too much for you, then I understand. It seems like the majority of people in DE wet shaving claim sensitive skin. At 51, after sunburns, windburns, cold winters in the field shaving out of a canteen cup, I do not have sensitive skin!
It appears that each of us who take up using a safety razor is on a personal journey. I only took it up a month or so ago, starting with a King C Gillette (saw it in the supermarket), then the Merkur Futur (too aggressive) then settling on the Feather Stainless razor (my Goldilocks moment). ‘Yes!’
You are a great guy Greg. So glad to be connectd to you in the wet shaving community. Thank you so much for this video, and the Rockwell 6S choice as the best razor for 2023; I concur. Happy new year Greg... One love❤
Used Greg’s link last year and got the Rockwell T2SS. I use that as my main workhorse then the Leaf Twig to get in close around my nose and upper lip. Find them to be a great combo and appreciate Greg for his fantastic reviews on both.
As the Knight said to Indiana Jones in “ The Last Crusade…You’ve chosen wisely! “ The Rockwell 6S isn’t perfect, but it is dam well near perfect . Cheers from Canada. MikeR.
Amazing video buddy. I also love that razor. Great choice on slowing down, with my baby son I also hit the breaks on my channel a bit and it is completely fine!
A great way to end the year with a new Greg Tardif video! I don't own the 6S, but I do own three 6C because I am too lazy to change the plates. (I often use multiple razors in a shave) Also have the T2 and I love them all! I've slowed down on the razor buying as well. I'm just waiting on something that looks so cool and inspires me to buy it. 🤣 Cheers and have a Happy New Year!
Had a 6c. Great with the 5 plate, but couldn't get under the nose. Junk for that, so it's gone to my bro. I must be the only one. GC .68 and the Karve Overlander. Done! . . . and the CB. Always love you videos.
I am still waiting for my Rockwell 6S to be delivered (today or tomorrow) and I still investigating what is the best of the best. While Rockwell 6S is pretty 'clumsy' with its changeable plates, it is a really bad thing to change the plate in the middle of the shaving, the adjustable razors with the dial seem to be very easy to 'kill yourself'. While you really can tell with Rockwell 6S what is right for you, with the adjustable razor you can really make a mistake and lose a layer of your skin. : ) My face is sensitive and it is very easy to miscalculate the aggressiveness on the dial and cut yourself. So, while Rockwell seems to be 'too slow' for shaving if you change plates, the real adjustable razors seem as very easy to make a serious mistake. You can 'feel' that is the right number, and then you can scream when you use the alum block or some aftershave. : ) Why did you choose Rockwell over Rex Ambassador, for instance? I saw your video where you claim that you don't like it, though it is a great razor. What do you think? Both things seem to be pretty inappropriate. Though Rockwell gives you a chance to find your number. But, I would like to try Rex Ambassador with XL handle and Blackland Osprey. Have you tried them both? They are pretty much the same price, about 500 bucks, because of the XL handle on the Rex.
When we talk about the best of the best, what do you think about Tatara Muramasa adjustable? Or I should really give up on 'adjustable' razors and be totally satisfied by Rockwell?
100% with you mate! Even if I'm not a straight razor guy,.if i had to choose a DE it would be the 6S (and also plate 4 ❤), such an amazing razor and excellent build quality. I also slowed down the amount pf videos.poated for the same reason, no need to stress about it and you're doing great 👍
Grown up with Gilette and have been with the Dollar Shave Club, old models for some time now. Cant get these anymore, did like the shave with them. Thinking of making a switch to the safety razor. What blades you think to use with the Rockwell S6 and any recommendation for shaving cream? Gel man myself with King of Shaves atm. Love the laid back vibes in your vid, dont stress over it!
I bought a Rockwell 6S & I mostly use the plates #4 & #2. I find it is alot harder to shave with under the nose than my Leaf Twig. I started wet shaving again with the Leaf Twig! Happy New Year to you! Thanks for all the great videos on shaving stuff!
Great video, Greg. Always good to see ya. I agree 100% on the Henson. I tried it once and it didn't cut worth anything. The head geometry is way over hyped. But I'm more of a three piece traditionalist. Gimme a vintage fat handle tech any day of the week. I'll take a look at the Rockwell next year though. I'm always down to try and new razor. Happy New Year!
I own a second hand Gillette Slim and a Feather Popular. I considered to buy a super expensive CnC made adjustable but naw, not in this economy. I agree that Henson are to light, but aerospace doesn't use stainless steel or brass so a alternative high tolerance CNC machined razor is needed.
Definitely agree on the 6S. Plate 4. Haven't used any other plate since shortly after I got it. It's a bit funny though - I rarely use it. I think it's just such a good razor that give you a great shave - every time, that it gets boring. It does have some competition in my shave den though. I am very impressed and happy with Parker's new open comb Variant. It is every bit as smooth and reliable as the 6S. It's just as boring! And it actually gives me just slightly smoother shaves than the 6S. Both are about perfect for me. I'd be perfectly happy having only those two razors. Have a Great New Year! And enjoy that daughter! Before you know it, they're grown and figuring out how far away from you they'll be going to college!
6S rocks. Had mine Rhodium plated at RazorEmporium. Didn’t get paid for that. I’m kinda surprised you didn’t pick the Rex Konsul. The gushing about it was palpable. Happy New Year.
I keep reaching for the Rockwell 6s or T2 and Razorock but have them on the back burner to try some others. The leaf twig/thorn and new Parker Solo edge also will be in my rotation. I have alot of razors lol. Recently I've been itching to try Yates 921 and Timeless stainless or titanium. I have the Yates Merica already and winning on the way. I just bought the Timeless aluminum slant which is my favorite aluminum razor as of now
I've already ordered Rockwell 6S and I am waiting for it to be delivered. What do you think about the people on RUclips who say that 6S 'doesn't glide' as 6C white chrome does? They find the difference between these two, and they say that 6S is 'tagging' the skin (the guy from RazorEmporium channel found that 'difference') What do you think? Your videos are great, you are so honest and super funny.
Hey man, i was going to buy the mild Hanson shaver, to replace my murker 34c that just broke. Then this video and you're saying the Rockwell 6s. I have sensitive skin Fair skin fair hair. For years I would get razor burns and blemishes but for 2 years the 34c fixed my skin issues, but now The body will not screw onto the head. So now I'm looking for a harder stainless steel shaver. 6s is $189 ouch compared to $79 for a 34c. Henson are $150. Any other stainless steel razors that are good for non-aggressive sensitive skin in stainless steel you know off. Cheers
Thanks. Stainless steel is typically a little bit more expensive. You could try the 6c though. That’s a lot less and has the same plate swapping design
Living in the UK need something to take my mind off all the shenanigans, I have loads of razors and brushes and I need another 70yrs of life to get thru all my soaps. Completely lost down the Rabbit Hole😢 I don't do adjustables, and I can't be bothered with changing base plates , so I just have the Rockwell 2C yeah it's a good razor at sometime I should work out which razor I keep going for...but I do have theme shaves, ie Christmas shaves where I use previous razors bought for me for a present, 1st Wednesday in the month vintage shave, Straight Shave Sunday...you get the picture...the only raZors I know I don't like are the Parkers 94R and 98R and nearly every single YaQi head all waaaaaaay too aggressive...but I still use them on occasions
Nice to see a video from you, buddy! You look like you lost weight. You been deadlifting melted down Merkur Futurs? An in-between option between the Rockwell 6C and a full 6S is to order the pieces individually and just get one plate. I like the 4/2 plate best, so I saved a bunch of money by not getting the plates I don't use. You can mix and match colors too.
Gwaaash (in goofy’s voice) thanks! I have been trying to exercise. More scotch and less beer. Thanks! That’s a good option too. It is nice that they sell parts. It’s like buying a 2S
Glad you are taking care of family first. Your videos and your style have grown on me and I will honestly say I enjoy your video's as much as anyone on RUclips. That being said mostly because I am also a head shaver I still swear by my Henson Ti-22 mild. It's the only razor I have that I've never cut my head crease up on. I have the Rockwell T2 and I think I may sell it and buy a 6S . I also love the Rex Sentry for 3-5 days growth as a face shaver. Happy New year my friend.
Hey Greg I am new to safety razors but have shaved for many years with Gillette store razors. What razor blade replacement blades would you recommend with this razor? And soap? Thank you Sir. I have been watching your videos for 3 months now, you have some awesome content and I appreciate your wisdom.
I did a spit take over your opinion of the Merkur Futur. I have one. I love the look of it, but it is not one I relish using. I couldn't agree with you more about the Rockwell 6S. I was lucky in that I invested in one before the price increase. Setting 4 is my setting of choice. Love your content. All the best in the Futur to you and your family. Hope you are enjoying the mild WI winter.
I need advice I’m in the military and have to shave everyday, however buying a $100 razor feels like a bit much. Is the quality of the shave really that much more worth it then my 5 blade gillet? I understand that maybe in the long run I save more money but that’s still $100 gone in one go on a razor.
I’ve been wet shaving for 3 years with a Merkur 33C. I love it. I bought a Muhle R41 a couple of months ago just to try an open comb razor. I cut myself each time I have used it. I’m not so into shaving that want to collect razors. My 33C gives me a close shave so I’m gonna stick with it. I’ll experiment with different blades, creams and soaps when I need to restock. I started wet shaving to save money because cartridge razors are expensive. If I come across a vintage razor in a thrift store, I might pick it up.
Nice vid Greg. Good to see you. I agree with the 6s and Konsul. 6s is usually plate 5. I gotta try 4 again. Previously - a bit too many strokes to cut but very smooth. I like the weight and balance of the razor too. I don’t like lightweight razors. Merry Christmas!
6S is absolutely the best razor I’ve ever tried. 2,3 and 4 are the smoothest of the smooth. I don’t think Karve come close in comfort and ease or use. Fancy razor’s are just fancy. They never work as well.
Happy New Year, Greg! Keep the “Sixes” alive 😂
Happy new year! Gotta have my fun where I can

@@GregTardif You've certainly earned the splurges.
That’s my one and only razor!! And that’s the razor I recommend as well!! Thanks for the honest video!
Since bying the 6s i have stopped using all my other razors.
I like smoth shaving so i'm using Derby Premium and plate 4. Just love it!

I’ve had one for about 4 years now, really like it. I have heavy beard and have been using plate 6, might try a 5 for a change.
After all the razors I’ve purchased I keep coming back to my Rockwell 2C for 90% of my shaving.
What's your Go-To plate on the Karve?
I'm with you on the Rockwell 6s/6c it is an awesome razor that has a geometry that most shavers enjoy, it was the razor that saved my DE journey four years ago, also like you said a great choice for a beginner/starter. These days with my aging hands I use lighter razors like the Henson AL13, Karve AL Outlander, TRC AL etc., although I still get the 6c out every now and then. My collecting has also slowed down a lot this year. Happy new year Greg🎉🎉🎉
This video make me very happy. Good for you
Can't agree more Sir!...
How does the Rockwell 6S compare to the merkur 33c?
I've got the 6s and the T2SS. I love them both. The 6s is a better shaver for me but I use the T2SS more because of adjustability. The ease of. I agree though. The 6S is all anyone needs. I usually just put it on a 5 plate and leave it. I like the Henson Medium a lot too. It's a great every day razor.
Oh my 6C shaves slicker. It's made in China though. 😢
It’s a bummer that you didn’t like the futur. I love mine. I find myself reaching for it 3 out of 5 shaves.
Great perspective, Greg. Shaving stuff is cool and all, but it sounds like you know what's really important. Happy New Year!
Shaved with the Merkur Futur this morning. Set to "4". American Personna Med Prep blade. Arko soap.
I don't consider it a bad razor.
I don't either, I just hate it
@@GregTardif Ah, I just watched your video on the Futur. If the "2" setting was too much for you, then I understand. It seems like the majority of people in DE wet shaving claim sensitive skin. At 51, after sunburns, windburns, cold winters in the field shaving out of a canteen cup, I do not have sensitive skin!
Love your channel. I prefer 6C instead of 6S. I find 6C way smoother because of the chromium finish.
Pretty cool to stumble across a Hodag sign in the background... Rhinelander born and raised here.
That’s the one I use. Plate 5 or 6 with an Astra or Permasharp. Can dial it back and put a Feather in.
It appears that each of us who take up using a safety razor is on a personal journey. I only took it up a month or so ago, starting with a King C Gillette (saw it in the supermarket), then the Merkur Futur (too aggressive) then settling on the Feather Stainless razor (my Goldilocks moment). ‘Yes!’
How does parker variant compare to 6S for head shaving?
🤷♂️
You are a great guy Greg. So glad to be connectd to you in the wet shaving community. Thank you so much for this video, and the Rockwell 6S choice as the best razor for 2023; I concur.
Happy new year Greg...
One love❤
Happy new year! Thanks for the kind words
Love it Greg! I’ve got a 6C and it rocks well.
Hey Greg! I always enjoy your videos. Thanks for the update.
Lindsay💈
My 6S is the best shaver I own !!!! I agree with everything you said!!!! Happy New Year Greg !!!!!
We or me want more of Greg. Greg is Shaving Rock Star.🏆
Keep the great content about Wet Shaving coming.🥳
If there could only be one that's a great choice!!!
Greg you have your priorities in the right order. Family first everything tied for second.
My razor of the year are the Lambda razors.
🥰
Greg, is this still the one?? should i switch to a single blade to decrease or completely stop razor burn?
@@RCodyWanner best razor in the game! Takes some getting used to. Take your time and you’ll have the best shave with less or no razor burn
Thanks Chris! That new variant sounds sweet!
6S rocks. Had mine Rhodium plated at RazorEmporium. Didn’t get paid for that. I’m kinda surprised you didn’t pick the Rex Konsul. The gushing about it was palpable. Happy New Year.
I like the konsul (i paid for it too and the 6s) but the konsul is perfect for multiple days growth (for me at least)
Thanks! I haven’t noticed a difference. I think they’re both great
@@GregTardif Thanks for your reply. Keep up with good work, you are so direct and refreshing. And your humor is great.
Do you have a recommendation for a good natural aftershave?
Not sure what you mean. But Nivea has good after shave balm. Witch hazel is good too
Well, my favorite razor 2023 is The RGS0,80. R for Rex ambassador, G for Game changer 0,80 and S for Stando . That's it 😂😂. Have a great 2024 🎉🎉🎉❤.
The Goat! Happy Holidays brother!
All my top end razors lie unused in my drawer....except my 6S!
Living in the UK need something to take my mind off all the shenanigans, I have loads of razors and brushes and I need another 70yrs of life to get thru all my soaps. Completely lost down the Rabbit Hole😢
I don't do adjustables, and I can't be bothered with changing base plates , so I just have the Rockwell 2C yeah it's a good razor at sometime I should work out which razor I keep going for...but I do have theme shaves, ie Christmas shaves where I use previous razors bought for me for a present, 1st Wednesday in the month vintage shave, Straight Shave Sunday...you get the picture...the only raZors I know I don't like are the Parkers 94R and 98R and nearly every single YaQi head all waaaaaaay too aggressive...but I still use them on occasions
Oooo the sentry does look cool!
Hey Greg I am new to safety razors but have shaved for many years with Gillette store razors. What razor blade replacement blades would you recommend with this razor? And soap? Thank you Sir. I have been watching your videos for 3 months now, you have some awesome content and I appreciate your wisdom.
Rockwell make excellent razors
I did a spit take over your opinion of the Merkur Futur. I have one. I love the look of it, but it is not one I relish using. I couldn't agree with you more about the Rockwell 6S. I was lucky in that I invested in one before the price increase. Setting 4 is my setting of choice. Love your content. All the best in the Futur to you and your family. Hope you are enjoying the mild WI winter.
😂 thanks so much for checking in. Glad you got a kick out of it
Do you have a code for razer emporium for the revamp?
I don’t
Hey, as someone wanting to get into using safety razors, or rather to use them, what do i get? Just out of the box works for a noob type thing?
The 5 Best Razors to Get Into Wet Shaving

Happy New Year Greg!!!!
Happy new year!
Do you find it hard to clean in the groove? I find it difficult, even with a tooth brush.
No
I need advice I’m in the military and have to shave everyday, however buying a $100 razor feels like a bit much. Is the quality of the shave really that much more worth it then my 5 blade gillet? I understand that maybe in the long run I save more money but that’s still $100 gone in one go on a razor.
Once you get used to shaving with a safety razor it can give a better shave.
@@GregTardif hmm I see, thank you!
Wondering how the Rockwell compares to PAA DOC, if anyone has both.
I hate the Henson razor for the same reason. I just put too much pressure, because they are so light. It’s me, not the razor, but I can’t adjust.
My top haven't cut my face to S&*t razors are Rockwell 6S, Leaf twig, Gillette ball tech (circa 1965) and Henson
very cool!
my leaf razor fell apart today, looking for something more durable
This is a good pick
Would love to see a review of Karve SS Overlander if you ever get a chance to use one. Be interesting to see if you'll like it more than your 6S.
Probably won’t happen
Greg, great insights! Happy New Year, celebrate with a mouthful of Bush !
😂😂
Nice vid Greg. Good to see you. I agree with the 6s and Konsul. 6s is usually plate 5. I gotta try 4 again. Previously - a bit too many strokes to cut but very smooth. I like the weight and balance of the razor too. I don’t like lightweight razors. Merry Christmas!
Hi Greg do you think the Yates razor with h plate is one of the best razors you have used ?
I do love the open comb Yates I have.
@@GregTardif ok I see what about the sb version is that good or do you prefer oc ?
@vdlorenzo2578 only ever used the oc
Greg,
It’s cool to make content that isn’t shave videos too. Maybe some of us just want to see what you’re up to and check in on you! 😊
- Brian
6S is absolutely the best razor I’ve ever tried. 2,3 and 4 are the smoothest of the smooth. I don’t think Karve come close in comfort and ease or use.
Fancy razor’s are just fancy. They never work as well.
What's the name of the music? and is there a link?
I use a music service that has licensed the music. I can try and track it down later
Hello
In comparison of the feather as d2? Some place it like the best, eveeeeeeeer...
Bonne nuit =)
