- When The Boondocks WARNED Diddy & His Harem Of Male Rappers
So there’s this viral theory making the rounds on social media that the legendary animated sitcom The Boondocks was trying to warn us about Diddy and expose his escapades with industry men…
However, some fans are saying that people who think The Boondocks were trying to expose Diddy’s preferences in the bedroom are missing the point, and they claim the show was actually making a deeper comment on the hip-hop culture as a whole…
So let's dive into the world of The Boondocks and examine all the parallels between its characters and Diddy allegations….

South Park also said something too when Satan was trying to throw a party but he couldn't out party Diddy. Remember that famous line: "what didn't Diddy do?!"
Now that you think about it even South Park thought that even Satan himself couldn't party like Diddy 👀
Yea I mean that was in reference to Diddys white parties being wild which was public knowledge at the time that he threw the biggest parties, not that anything suspicious was going down.
Omg i have been WONDERING where i got this line as a kid!
This is almost the most out of context reference to Southpark🤦🏻♂️. So just because Diddy was mentioned in another show- it AUTOMATICALLY must be relevant to this homophobia based content? Are y'all under 12 coming to these conclusions? 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
@@Andy-ly2liit’s not about that because plenty of people in the industry are gay but he was using his power to have relations with his artists and others not just men
Don’t forget the Vote or Die! episode where Stan didn’t want to vote for a 💩 sandwich 🥪 or a giant douche.
Gangstallicious wasn’t a predator he was just closeted. Diddy is a predator. Difference being one victimizes the other just lives life on the DL because they know he lose his career at that time.
Fucking. Thank You. Now that we're in Moral Panic 2.0, it's more important than *ever* to be very open about that distinction.
Well said
Facts
The character is normal while the voice actor was bad
One can be both!
A lot of episodes on boondocks are base on real life. I believe katt knew about diddy and told the creator, who in return made this episode.
Very possible , Kat would do something like that
Exactly - that b.s. comment was cap . .Nobody trying to expose homophobia , they were AFTER D*ddy, knew what predator was up to. Good RIDDANCE.
The Boondocks exposed Diddy, 50 Cents, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Usher, Bush, Obama, Tyler Perry, all of the other celebrities who gets roasted in, and even the Powers That Be for a very long time and some didn't get it.
Lmaoooooo
I still had every episodes of the Boomdock on DVD. Imma have to pull them out and watch them again 😂
I think people are focusing too much on Diddy SEXUALITY which is NOT A CRIME ! Instead of the possibility of Grape or domestic violence!
You seem to forget that he also murdered a guy with his son
He made it a family event
@@jamesatkinson8279 This is my point that I'm trying to make you mentioned" murder with his son" or whatever.Let's say that is true, then he needs to go to jail/prison
But his sexuality is not And it should not be on trial here.
If he is guilty of grape, domestic violence , Has an artillery type of charge, has an R Kelly charge Or charged with murder Then If he is found guilty he needs to go to jail. But you gotta make sure that you're not falling for the hype of these conspiracy theory videos. Which unfortunately is the way of the world right now.
This is the most contradicting narcissistic disgusting comment here. Sexual immorality is a sin and a crime. You people can't tell right from wrong anymore. Y'all try to excuse one evil to emphasize on another but all sin is equal and wrong. Beating women, raping children and fucking other men is all a crime!
My view is not fully established and subject to change. The reason I think sexuality maybe important is bc some of it could explain the misogyny & disdain towards women from the black male rap community. It's on full display. Maybe bc of being closeted or trying to pretend to be something they're not.
It's often said that men who lie about their sexuality are very resentful towards women.
It needs to be studied.
Boondocks was accurate about a lot of things the whole series was about society in general
As all great comedies and satires are.
I love how people are more worried about his sexual shit over the trafficking part
Who says they are?
I think it's more of all the details of his sex trafficking haven't been brought to light yet.
But all the details of his sex life have...and that is what people are talking about now...that will shift once everything is exposed.
Because thats all these videos are about duh😂 bffr @@t.s.3709
Why not both?
I think your comment is a result of generational differences. This modern generation has been conditioned to be much more accepting of homosexuality. So much so, that you all take offense to the idea of same-sex couplings being discriminated against or receiving public backlash. I grew up during the era of Diddy and Bad Boy and back then, social media didn't exist in the way it exists today and there was no one to amplify certain messages within society. While homosexuality was apparently rampant inside/within the entertainment industry, it wasn't openly/outwardly embraced as part of the public representation of the rap industry. The image of masculinity was very stringent and I'm only now realizing that many folks I grew up listening to were probably gay the whole time. For me and a lot of folks from my generation, this is a revelation.
As far as alleged trafficking, that is something that would need to be proven in court. And I won't attempt to minimalize the potential impact of that as any associated charges would carry the potential for criminal penalties/imprisonment in the event of conviction. But, it's important to realize that people are not simply demonizing the act of homosexuality without considering there are multiple accusations on the table.
There is a lot of context and nuance to this particular situation that deserves to be discussed in depth.
11:44 "we're able to service men... 's fashion" Diddy nearly slipped up there 😂😂
And “senses”

😂😂😂😂 definitely
😮😅😂😂😂😂
That can explain alot
Yah and the girls apparently "loved him"...damn we live in a world were black woman are looking really stupid cuz our men are f*cking each other....no words
Diddy's voice is so low, so soft, so zesty. I can't believe we bought into the gangsta image to begin with.
It's like whyte people buying into the Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Slyvester Stallone, Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, Steven Seagal, John Cena, Frank Sinatra and John Travolta's personae. A lot of these folks are zeisty or into dark sh*t behind closed doors too.
Have you seen Arnie's dogs??? Much zeister than the Queen of England, you die. 😂
People have always peeped Diddy for who he really was since the early 2000’s, but without proof it was just rumors. Even Dave Chappell did a parody of “Making the Band” on his show and he portrayed Diddy as zesty. I recommend watching it 😂.
I’ve been saying this! He also puckers his lips up you can tell a gay guy from a straight they have different mannerisms!
He is gangsta....just a lil gay

I think the Boondocks was making a general commentary on the hip hop music industry, but was definitely mirroring certain people and their rumored behaviors.
It's the hypocrisy. The homophobia of the industry, when there's literally nothing gayer than that industry. 💀
3:43 NAHH BRUH SUPER HEAD?! and wonder cheeks? 😂😂 the boondocks was calling his ass out 😂😂
They need to bring this show back, there is so much material right now.
With two of the actors dead and Samuel L. Jackson being waaaaaay too expensive these days, there's no way the show will come back.
Arron started boondocks at University Maryland as a comic strip Puffy started and failed at Howard. Arron’s BEEN knowing just like anyone else who was in the area and the culture.
Exactly.
I wish he would come back. Give us a Boondocks movie or something.
Aaron. Not Arron.
When Puff said that he was a dancer the alarm went off. Not saying anything like all male dancers are gay but a lot of them occupied that field of entertainment 🎭

I was wondering if anybody else caught that lil reference🧐
11:40 a bit of a freudian slip 😂😂 he's proud to "service men"
What people aren't understanding, but when that episode came out, gangstalicious was based on lil Wayne. It was inspired by that weird time birdman and Wayne were spotted kissing while hanging out. There is a photo and everything. I think a lot of people don't know this because they weren't watching the boondocks back when it aired. I mean listen to the song about not having bitches in vip. It sounds like some 2000's New Orleans drill beat. I mean c'mon. Diddy ain't the only one in hip hop undercover. I feel like its a amalgamation of Wayne and diddy
1000
That's not what I got when it came out. Birdman and Wayne never crossed my mind. I had picked up on Diddy due to the fact caused by Karrine.
@@daradiant1Well she dealt with Wayne also😅
They all gay,we know that.
I thought gangstalicious was based off of Young Thug. And yes, I saw Birdman and Wayne kiss..

Damn. Everything comes full circle. And that is the *best* picture of Wendy I have ever seen. Overall, this is an excellent video that connects a lot of the dots that I missed when I originally watched the show. I never knew when the episodes aired, so I always seem to catch them periodically and I was never fully up to speed with all the correlations they made to real life. I'm not sure why people are so reluctant to accept that Diddy and a large percentage of the rappers we grew up listening to were gay (at least in this timeline of the universe).
As far as the Gangstalicious character (I'm probably spelling that wrong), my guess is that he is an amalgamation of different rap artists who were prevalent at the time but the writers incorporated various storylines from real life events into his character arc with the broader aim of revealing that many of the rap artists lived secret gay lifestyles. Diddy being the most notable.
People have been trying to tell us for years without directly saying it. I'm glad you mentioned Karrine, because that was the first time I heard of anyone attempting to expose the industry. But that was also during a time when there was no social media to help elevate her voice and spread awareness. I remember listening to her interviews and hearing stories about BET's Tigga getting busted down to the white meat, and I always knew something was amiss. But, these were limited to radio discussions and it didn't seem like there was ever follow-up for for more information.
Those people claiming that its mocking homophobia are coping big time. Why then would they have Katt Williams telling a little child that bros over hoes is sus. I think the message is very clear, no need for mental gymnastics to see what and who they are mocking.
Thank youuuuuu!!!
Exactly
That claim would only makes sense if you didn't know much about rap culture at the time (I was a kid when the boondocks came out), Katt Williams and all this stuff about Diddy or even rappers/ producers like Birdman wasn't out there. Along with that is the exposing the casting couch within Hollywood not being a hot topic today.
Right
Hip hop culture is NOT homophobic. Pretenders just get exposed. Don't be a pretender. That goes for rappers pretending to be hard, pretending they gang bang, sling drugs, sexing multiple women, when instead they're gay as hell. That's cause for getting exposed. Gays are not gangster. They're not violent. This exists because of a POSITIVE stereotype about gays, not a negative one. Pretenders get exposed not because they're gay. It's because they lied.
I need to watch boondocks all over again man
Me as well. I have every episode of boondocks still today 😂
It's on hbomax!
@@cnearorbruh she was wearing us about it they crazy
I am definitely going to be in the minority here. But consensual relationships are no one’s business. If you’re gay…You’re gay. If you’re straight…You’re straight. As long as everything is consensual between the parties. Don’t care if Diddy is, allegedly, bi. My only issue are the things he’s done that we weren’t consensual and we’re abusive.
THIS☝🏿
People are seriously just now realizing all of what boondocks did for us? Damn, that took so long for some of you.
Johnny Guiness = Steve Stout. Guinness Stout.... i get it now being a beer drinker
“ Homies over Hos”- Puff Daddy
Gangstalicious is partly inspired by Lil Wayne, Diddy and 50 Cents.
I mostly get Tupac from Gangstalicious. The creator of the Boondocks was even from Baltimore, where Tupac went to the performing arts school.
@@beemajic5773 Lmao, possible. Some people even says that Gangstalicious's faux tough-guy bravado is inspired from Ice Cube, as well.

If hip-hop is this bad then I'd imagine pop culture and Rock-'n'-roll are worse
Period
They are one in the same. Remember when everyone thought Randy Quaid was crazy? He was one of the sanest ones. The majority of celebs, musicians, atheletes, politicians, and even the famous youtubers have been taped performing disgusting acts. This is why nobody speaks out on anything and if they do they're usually eliminated or made to look crazy. They worship the same master, too, and it's not the God of the Bible. It's all satanic. It amazes me anyone even wastes their time with all these evil garbage people
Every music genre is infiltrated. 😂
Why? I’d think hip hop promotes crime more than any other genre.
I wouldn’t necessarily say worse 😂😂😂 rock/pop are more gender fluid and accepting of homosexuality. Sex,drugs, and rock and roll
I always felt gangstalicious was based in 50 Cent .
the Boondocks was mostly taking about the homophobia in rap/hip-hop but Diddy being a predator is a different story because personally who cares if a rapper is gay as long as his rhymes are good there shouldn't be a problem but someone hiding that shit then blackmailing prospective rappers in order to get them to sign a record deal is fucked up
My conspiracy mind....what if biggie saw something he wasn't supposed to....ijs...🤷🏾♀️
What if puff was clapping Big? Or, had clapped Big?
Biggie didn't wanna play that way anymore

Gangstalicious was a mixture of several hip hop artists. The character did not contain however any of diddy's psychopathic characteristics.
The Boondocks is for black Americans what the Simpsons is for white Americans... Its giving you the truth in a satirical way.

You should show the Boondocks episode when Huey and Riley were boycotting BET.
Boondocks I must say is the one unique show where I cannot pick my favorite character because THERE ARE SO MANY GOOD CHARACTERS IN THE SHOW!! Maybe grandad because although granddad would act a fool sometimes. It was always a treat to hear Jon Witherspoon act and perform with some integrity. Because the man was a great actor, but he was always playing that typecast character from (Friday). I had wished for years they would bring back the boondocks just have them a little bit older, but now Witherspoon has passed. And it wouldn’t be the same without granddad. RIP Sir
