Good luck to Shadow. I am a former Shadow customer in the Western United States of two years. I mainly ended my subscription since I was busy with life outside of gaming. I am getting back into it as of these holidays. Would I join Shadow again? Maybe if they upgrade their hardware. I pay for GeForce Now Ultimate, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and Boosteroid Ultra since I refuse to buy a new PC gaming rig, if I can fight my own urges. I was into cloud gaming since Stadia and see the potential for the casual old timer gamer like myself. If you are the top 1% of gamers who compete for money or work professionally in gaming, I am also in IT. A real gaming rig is still better for the next five years is my guess. The latency is lowering as time goes by compared to four years ago, in my opinion. I am glad I have fiber Internet as well. If you are cloud gaming on something else besides that, then your latency will be higher. My MacBook is also wired in. The only thing that is not wired in is my Xbox controller.
The virtual machine thingy is just showcasing the greed of multibillion dollar companies. They should totally include an anticheat system that would detect the difference between a real virtual machine used to cheat and play the system or a cloud PC. But Shadow needs to upradge their system definitely
Amazon Luna is an embarrassment to cloud gaming. Their stability is very good but lacking otherwise. Their library needs to grow. When Blacknut and Utomik are better services than you, there is no excuse. .
It comes down to what the app can handle. The App can only handle decoding only a set amount of frames per second depending on resolution. I talked about this in the review.
We getting cheap iris xe laptops out here on eBay now. Im trying to understand it all rn. Where will the cloud stand? Indont want to lose cloud gaming though! AT ALL! We neeeeeed the redundancy for so many reasons
EA FC franchise lost the fifae world cup, it's why they are now called FC and not a FIFA series. FIFAe world cup is now with e-football (old PES weries) and rocket league. Do those run on shadow? 🎉 Spec requirements were through the roof for EA sports titles, which seemingly is sticking to console.
@CloudGamingBattle not gonna lie boosteroid doesn't have the infrastructure way way too many reddit post of people having issues mainly the latency makes a lot of games unplayable
@CloudGamingBattle wow you are right but one last thing do you think it's predatory to offer and sell a service that you know is not ready for the masses. I mean if you know the infrastructure isn't there why offer it. I really feel they should've beta tested or something
GeForce now is still the best in terms of performance and stability
But 100h limit is silly (that's the only dark point)
There are only 24 hours in a day my guy. And most people can only put in 2-3 hours at most.
If you have an account subscribed in 2024 you will have endless hours in 2025..
@@matthewhardwick8208 I hate people that defend this desion like you talking for everyone stop that
Thank you! They are the most stable without being nearly as expensive as Shadow. I agree that the 100 hour limit is ridiculous.

Stop that

My Xbox controller is also wired. 😅
That is a shame... To be able to play any games regardlessly was a big advantage of Shadow, until these VM restricts 😢

Also, the residential neighborhood cell phone tower peak time bandwidth speed restrictions and de-reprioritizations are gnarly too!
Still nothing about Amazon luna right? That's very sad 😢
🙃

.
Yes.. It feels like Amazon give up about Cloud gaming
Shadow cloud needs an CPU upgrade. The current one bottlenecks the GPU by over 50%. Unacceptable for the price.
They do need upgrades
One downside I personally see with Shadow is the FPS limit; I think they should allow for unlimited FPS in games to enhance the gaming experience.

I cant even play elden ring on a virtual machine now why everyone blocking users who dont want to get a pc

Only the major players will be allowed to stream games Microsoft, gfn, and Luna
That's what it is starting to look like. Hopefully, Boosteroid will be taken seriously as well
@CloudGamingBattle not gonna lie boosteroid doesn't have the infrastructure way way too many reddit post of people having issues mainly the latency makes a lot of games unplayable
You are right. They are privately owned so they don't have the money like the others do to throw around

Technically all services do that. I just called out Microsoft for doing the same thing. Most of it depends everyone's internet.
The first thing they could do in 2025 is make their service cheaper. They are the most expensive of all of them.
They are the cheapest Cloud GPU PC on the market
New people aint coming to gfn no one wants to be billed and see 100 hr cap 😂
I agree. I would rather pay more money than have my gaming limited to 109 hours per month. This is why I respect Boosteroid so much
Father
This stinks son!
🥺
I know
shadow is still expensive for that hardware they using even at cloud deck you getting better hardware at 1080p than shadow 1080p
The price is still the lowest on the market
