    Thank you sir, it took our professor 4 sessions to explain these methods, that means 8 hours, now here you can understand in 20 minutes the three methods. Great job.

      +Khaoula Daghsen i swear that here in algeria we still have a luck on information and after 3 years of teaching that course the teacher can't explain well this course and the students still suffer so it took the whole semester and we can't understand

    How does one know of the actual values? How did you find the actual values for this case to be (1,-3,2)?

      This system can be solved exactly by elimination, or by row-reducing the augmented matrix. A system encountered in "real life" would likely not have an integer solution!

    The value of x3 in first iteration is incorrect, it should be -0.10625.

      just go on with your iterations until you're REALLY close to the actual value or if your Relative Percent Error and Approximate Percent Error hits 0.00N%

    When do we actually stop the iteration? Because the more i go the more my approximate error fluctuates and the more my numbers go insanely high

      Gonkee is correct. I didn't want to get into that because I wanted to keep the video short and focused on the technique itself. Fortunately, the matrix for systems that arise in actual engineering situations ARE diagonally dominant.

    Thank you professor for the demonstration and I have a query in places where my analytical solutions or values of X are unknown so, how could I firmly assume that after a particular iteration these are my fitting values. do I compare my values with the previous iteration up to an accuracy of 3 digits or so to fix that these are the values required?. Please resolve this. Regards
