- The mother of a man who was shot and killed during a live interview on RUclips said she wants justice for her son. That’s while the Clark County District Attorney's office considered the shooting to be self-defense.
The reporters did a terrible job wording the title and explaining this story. For anybody who's confused, the guy sitting down doing the interview is NOT the one who was killed. He shot and killed the guy who walked up on him during the interview. The one who was killed was a jealous ex-boyfriend of the female homeowner. Before he decided to "run up and get done up,"😭 the angry ex had already smashed their car windows with a baseball bat and broken into the house.

At JAX2 in Jacksonville, FL we had a murder/attempted suicide IN the building. How he got the gun past initial security is a mystery. But since we wear steel toe, composite toe, etc... shoes. Security waives us through. But the victim's family was settled out of court and had to sign an NDA. 😅

ok so the guy in the begining of the video in the interview is the current boyfriend of the woman who owns the house. The guy who you can hear saying 'ima drag him out' is the ex boyfriend who came with the baseball bat to confront them. The mother wants justice for her son 'the man with the baseball bat' who was shot. the shooter (current boyfriend of house owner) is not charged for shooting him. aside from them looking similar and the reporter flashing their faces and mixing up the story, ignore that and its easier to just focus on the facts.
So what im getting is he ran up on dude and lost his life over a woman.

Ok I’m glad I’m not the only one confused. Who is the aggressor and who shot who? The reporter did a not so good job of explaining this.
The aggressor (Coney) was a guy off camera, whose reflection you could see in the TV screen. Birch was doing a live interview when Coney broke into the home after hitting the cars outside with a baseball bat. Birch shot Coney in self defense apparently, so don't know why Coney's mom is filing a wrongful death suit.

Yes the title of the video and the reporting itself are terrible After watching the video several times, I realized that the guy sitting down doing the interview (pictured with sungless) is NOT the one who got shot; he shot the dude who walked up on him. He (Sunglasses) was the new boyfriend of the owner of the home. The guy who walked up on him was the homeowners ex, who had smashed their car windows of a baseball bat and broken into the home.

How is this a wrongful death if he came to a home he does not own with a weapon, a baseball bat, then trespassed the home and attempted to attack the people inside the home? I'm sorry mom, but if this was me and if my son did this, I'd be thoroughly disappointed in him but I would accept that he was an adult and he made very bad decisions and completely threw out the lessons he was taught all because he would not accept that he is not entitled to ownership of any woman. I'd be crushed but I'd accept it. Sue who and for wrongful death? He did this because of you, ma'am. Nothing but enabling and no accountability probably his entire upbringing and it costed him his life. Damned shame.

That was really smart of him to clarify things with the 911 operator that he had a firearm and he'd remove the bullets if necessary so there won't be any potentially fatal misunderstandings when the cops arrive. You know how nervous they can get when they encounter an armed brother, especially one who just shot a man.

Reporters have problems
They do. It used to be the story was the star and the reporter the speaker bringing it to your ears. Now the reporters try to inject too much of themselves into the story, the location, the atmosphere before and after the event. The sad friends and family being consoled on camera, to the neighbors being interviewed seem to take a cringe-worthy see-it-from-my-eyes turn, when put on camera. Anymore I believe reality is never shown on news or any show representing news. I'd rather see the serious Who, What, When, Where and Why, but without dragging the family and friends to be put on the camera with the "exclusive, only here on.....". Mourning is private and should only be broadcast if the family gives permission only.

The jealous boyfriend was the one who was killed. It’s a good thing the guy was there to defend him and the girlfriend because otherwise it could’ve went the other way. This was the worst reporting I've seen in a long time. I think they deliberately tried to confuse the issue of who the victim was so you would think you should feel bad for the dead guy. I am confused. I do not know what happened. Did he break into the house and decided to do a livestream with someone? Afterwards, he was killed during the livestream at the house he broke into? The reporting on this story is absolutely horrible. They need to get someone else to report and re-edit this story.
Gentle giant my ass! Dude was huge and wielding a deadly weapon, after breaking into someone’s house. The guy doing the interview may very well be a douchebag, but he had every right to defend himself and his girlfriend. Feel bad for the Mom, but her son got what was coming to him. That lawsuit isn’t going anywhere, so she might as well just concentrate on grieving and healing from her loss.
This was an absolutely horrible way of reporting this story. Most people have no clue who shot who and definitely can’t understand the wrongful death claims nor the mother being interviewed. This is by far the worst report I’ve ever seen.
