I have this car in the R line - Wanted it since i was 18 and bit the bullet to buy it!! It is an absolute dream to drive, handling is amazing and the engine seriously pulls and sounds far more powerful than it is! My favourite thing to do is to drop it into 2nd gear, leave the revs at about 2k, then stamp on the throttle, the turbo instantly activates and slams your head against the headrest!! Love it - oh and its an eye catcher!!!
dlawe667 if I think about the cars now, I would say it's a very close call. I would have to drive them on the same day to make that call. Either way they are both very fun to drive.
The one in this video is a newer model, but i have a 2.0 TDI 2011 manual and it sounds like this, although the sound in the video sounds modified or muffled. The roar from the engine is there but the low growl isnt.
Is the sound real or is it generated? Do all siroccos have this feature? I’m thinking about getting the new r line 2l diesel will this also sound the same?
cant lie the diesel and petrol sciroccos have the most obvious difference it’s like most cars you’ll be able to tell the difference soon enough if you look further into exhaust sound and the idle
The Scirocco legacy, from a design perspective, is aggressive lines and angles. The only lines and angles I see on this new car is in the sideview mirrors. From a nostalgia standpoint, the designers failed.
Tj Roberts would respectfully disagree. Very few cars have such an aggressive stance like the Scirocco does, while still looking very "German". A masterpiece in my book...
You are right, it is more curvaceous, specially the pre-facelift. It is said that remains a bit of japanese cars of tge 90s. Maybe the fact that the designer inspired also in a Honda Civic EG (which was also a lower-than-normal hatch) has something to do with it
+Charlie Watson im from Belgium. Payed First time 800€ and then every year 400€. Im 22 and have to pay soemthing between 1700-2000€ insurance per year.
I heard the view out of all the windows isn't so good. When you look over your shoulder to check your blind spots before you switch lanes, can you see clearly?
Thechainlard yes, in that kind of situations the view is ok. Only parking can be a challenge sometimes. I would definitly consider taking the rear view camera.
Live with it. Try one on a proper car. Manuals are fun, but fast autos ate good too, specially the more powerful and faster the car gets (think of 300+ bhp). On this TDI... well... it is for comfort mainly, specially on city driving
Say that to a Ferrari or McLaren engineer. You seem too narrow minded. Period. In a car like this in the video, it is for comfort mainly, specially on the city. On a car with high power, for being even faster (and more safe I would say). Even on a 300+ bhp hatch, things can start happening a bit fast to cope with proper gearchanges on a twisted road. You are faster with DSG, and make more aggresive downshifts more safely. And, if you use the shifter instead of the paddles to change in Manual Mode, not thaaat different in fun, really. This is why I HATE that in the last generation (Golf Mk8, and its cousins) they removed the secuential shifter, and put a SHITTY little PRND selector
@@alamos8 well said. I know fuck all about cars I only paint them etc.. but I do know a dsg is faster as the dsg box itself has metal teethed belts and apparently you don’t even feel the gear changes just instant “gone” come say gay to one on the lights, it’ll leave you like a Mars bar packet on the side of the road. Picking one up tomorrow in white R line spec with additional extras 2.0 TDi DSG coupe 👍🏽

My dream car❤❤❤
It's explosive
Car of my dreams, i really hope to have some money to afford this vehicle someday
Someday
Dođi u Njemačku
Very flexible car ,I like it very much
lovely car, effortless
Very nice Videos, Which car is more fun to drive the Scirocco or the Focus ST?
dlawe667 if I think about the cars now, I would say it's a very close call. I would have to drive them on the same day to make that call. Either way they are both very fun to drive.
Sound quite decent from the inside. Is that sound real or "fake" via speakers or some sort of "sound aktuator"?
I don’t remember, sorry

BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Nice car! What about the handling in bad roads? Too harsh? Thank you.
It's been super long since i made this video, but from what i remember it was a comfortabel cars that handles well even on bumpy road.
Is the sound real or is it generated? Do all siroccos have this feature? I’m thinking about getting the new r line 2l diesel will this also sound the same?

perfect style!
Can you make a Video of the VW Phaeton ??
Would those triple boost gauge work on a mk6 golf r if you made the same thing so it would fit
Is this running a custom exhaust it sounds good?
No it's stock exhaust
But can it Euro 7? (put trollface here)
Where do they have this in left-hand-drive configuration?!
Everywhere except Britain, Australia, New Zealand and a few African and Asian countries.
Wat is het verbruik . Goeie video 👍
+Giancarlowijman 1:18 - 1:19 is realistischer.

where is the description on the phone cant find it
now imagine THIS with a manual gear box, that would be perfect
vermillion I have one and it's a revo mapped 280bhp 2.0tsi gt! it's fun
16cliffedge just bought the R- line black edition 184 TDI manual, should be coming this week ! 280 remapped can't wait!
I mean I love manuals and all but the DSG in VWs are pretty good. One of, if not the only automatic transmissions I can say I actually like.
Pokey motor
You won't get 280BHP from a TDI mate only if you go stage 3
What are the emissions?
Bro since you live in belgium, how much do you have to pay for the taxes and insurance of this car?
your info would help alot.
+Charlie Watson im from Belgium. Payed First time 800€ and then every year 400€. Im 22 and have to pay soemthing between 1700-2000€ insurance per year.
+LPArctiC Thanx Bro, and how is the car itself? are you satisfied with it?
+Charlie Watson i love it. it's expensive but Overall the 2l Motor ist awesome. never going to give it away anymore.
Dream car

Same but im 16 xd

I bought a Scirocco as my first car CR170 and the insurance was only 1400
Omar Rasheed how old a were u wen u got it
Cooler Sound... for a Diesel.
@Platinum_38_ if I can get the car, I will make a video
a few thousand euro
please
love on the outside, but something off with inside
Just bought one of these mines 2.0 gts r line leather interior n all that
I Love It! :-))
Consumption with this style of driving? thx
Frozz7 i didn't look at my consumption. VW says 4,3l/100 km
is it as fast as the golf gtd or faster
same hp levels roughly (stock that is)
I still hesitate to pick 1.4 TSI (118kw) or 2.0 TDI...:(
***** nope
Frozz7 Why not the 2.0 TSI ? still cheaper than the 2.0 TDI..
ZeroController Because of the relatively high consumption about 10l/100km :-/
Frozz7 buy 2.0 TDI...! the consumption is good...!
2.0 GT with DSG is the only way to go
Good car for a salesmanager
Nice
is that automatic
yes, it has a 6-speed DSG
Would choose manual over automatic aaaaaaany day!

Christ. ... How do you always drive with 2 hands on the wheel?
The shifts are on the wheel
Even 1.4 tsi pushes 160hp
can anybody explain why not 5 doors?
Because it's a sports car, not a Golf.
nice
😍😍😍😍😍😍
welke bouwjaar???
mooiboy49 heb niet gekeken, maar is meest recente generatie. Dus ofwel najaar 2014 of jan 2015
Why buy this car with DSG? This car is made for manual, it's so much fun.
