Use chocks when jacking mate and buy a toolbox with organised sockets and spanner’s etc so things are easy to find when you want them.

You can’t just turn off a fisheye. It’s either an 8mm or 10.5mm Lens. But yeah switching it up would be good but it’s also easy to just point and shoot with a fisheye.. harder to frame shots without
Come on g it’s his trade mark thing not really seen many other people do it and it gives the videos a more custom and personal feel to it and in a good way it makes it worse to make it seem more home made and original

I don't think there is enough space for a 2nd floor. There's only 15ft

Yes you can use a compressor on 240volts they aren’t as common as 3 phase but can still get them, keep up the hard work and before you know it you will be engine swapping everything 😂😂
Harry the end of the jack handle should be used to release the jack pressure screw that you keep using the screwdriver for mate 👍😊
Please don’t smooth the mouldings, get the g60 arches and the 90 spec door trims 👌
What you have at the minute is 90 spec GTI bumpers with 88 spec driver arches

Harry, if your looking to do a few cars, get a discovery 3 or discovery 2 and do an off road conversion ! I've got a disco 3 so would be interested to see what youd do different. I'd love somewhere like that to detail my car. Excellent video mate!

Don't jack it on the cills mate and put the axle stands on the rear axle
Not sure if this has been mentioned already but when you do the front bumper you need a jack to support the engine! The bumper bolts also fix the front cross member to the chassis which the front engine mount is sat on. I learnt this the hard way when i almost crushed my head.

Instead of a full mezzanine do a third mezzanine to store parts and miscellaneous bits and bobs above the work bench area

Banded steelies are one of the best looking wheel setups for a mk2 imho
@Baileys Miata no need to attack people for their opinion man, just said that imo its the best looking on a MK2. When they're banded, spray painted, with some meaty tires, they look great. kinda racecar like.

Smooth door panels look so good!
Tighten the bolt a little then loosen it back and forth so on until it comes loose, also some copper grease on the bolts before you put them on back on will help them from sticking in future

A quick jack might be a good alternative to a full on lift. Easy to move around too to save space

I love being able to watch you rebuild the mk2 golf because I'm currently rebuilding my brothers mk2 polo with him and its cool to see the differences and similarities between the 2 and keep up the good work man 👌👍💯
Content has dramatically improved 👍🏻 car content is awesome. Also found trim restore gells/sprays are crap just painted mine satin black looks brand new 8months later.

Quick jack - I would also get compressed air you can run off 240. Also.. coz you love Halfords buy advanced (lifetime warranty) better than snap on as its. Healer and more available 👍

Compressor and lifts can both run off of 240. We’ve both at work.

i think you should keep it called driveway mods just to remember in the years to come where this started. great videos, loving the car vids.
Mod box is a good name. It’s hard to find 2 post lifts single phase and if you do you need a 40A hard wired supply. Also you need 6 inches minimum of reinforced concrete. Your best option is quick jacks 👍🏻
your the only reason why my day is worth while after ask I go work and just know when I go home I will laugh at these videos
2 post hoists can be single or 3 phase. Some work on 230v but need to be 16A as they pull a lot of current. I’d go for some quickjacks personally

Harry if your getting a jack put it were your able to put a car lifted up and then a car under it as well to save space
Harry next time you jack it up. Put the stands further in, like on the frame rails where it is stronger. Where your putting it now is eh, but you could end up crumpling that area. I’d personally put it further in to be safe.

Hi love the build. If you go for a 4 post jack you can store two cars, one under another without having to keep the wheels hanging.

ANOTHER SICK VIDEO!!! I would definitely get that made into a workshop before doing anymore major mods.. Get the work bench setup. I would also invest in a decent sized toolbox and fill it with everything you need then you won't be looking for sockets. Grab some metal shelving as well to store all your parts instead of keeping boxes etc!
Halfords tool set ..👍 I've got boxes full of mac tool etc and use that set more than anything.. also a mk2 gti owner 😁

The T6 is savage. I just got a t4 vw and the bumpers need polishing and new allows and side bar. Where did you get the side trim polish for mark 4. And where did you get those black alloys Nd black side bar?
