    Another great video….keep up the great work. I would have probably just checked it worked before putting it all back together. Other than that brilliant!

    Great video. This is what I needed for my E60. Most other video's are for the comfort (E65 style) seats. Thanks!

    Hi what year is your car . I started to do my passenger seat it started better compared to yesterday . 7hrs.
    The first breakage was top plastic panel.1 door end plastic . Then again trying to unplug moter 1 clip on the plug. 1 out of the five clips broke off.reinstalling assembly I couldnt get it to line up and skipped cogs a few times.just when I had in in place the whole motor and frame fell apart . 5 pieces .3 hours in and I could put a molitoff through my window. For my level of skill for this work I should have taken seats out . Cant have taken any longer.
    Now are there ment to be any screws holding the moter and shaft and extendable slider. I havnt found any but it wont clip back together either.

    Exactly like my repair 3 years ago. Everything fine but it is a little bit louder as mentioned.

    I have to do this with my drivers side. Do you know if the other plastic gears under the seat can be replaced as well? It doesn't seem to matter what make and model it is, I've noticed they all seem to get brittle and break.

      Yes common on many BMW models. It’s normally only this gear that breaks

    Where to buy that metal type to replace the plastic rotor?

    Most off my torx bolts rounded out being aluminum. My elec plug broke the tab . I'm still trying to get it back in and done up to finish . 5 hours so far and I'm only going to do 1 . I hope .

    Can you please provide the part#

      Doesn’t have a BMW part number, it’s an aftermarket solution. Google it- you’ll find one, they are for sale everywhere

    But...mine is stuck in the IN / RETRACTED position...so, without it extended...it does not come out??

    • @MTechGuy
      @MTechGuy  Год назад +1

      You only need it extended it enough to get at the two torx screws underneath the thigh support section. Try moving it by hand, operating the motor while pushing it may help it move

      @MTechGuy - thanks...I actually removed the motor with the 3 black screws. This allows the gear mechanism to move.. Then extended the arms by pulling them toward the dashboard (out direction)...this allowed the assembly to drop down and pivot out for replacement.
