I'm thrilled to see that Garth's comeback tour is going so well. The special moment that everyone hopefully has seen by now is his 2nd concert on Nov. 7th at the Target Center in MPLS. A lot of things happened that made it so incredible. If you don't know about it, just type in The Dance and it won't take long to figure out what I'm talking about.

He's a marketing genius, and influential entertainer. He totally gets the importance of the Grand Ole Opry too . So that's cool.

+MK2112 Country music is not dead and neither is Garth Brooks. I saw him in January when he came to Tulsa and I loved it. My Aunt and her husband saw him the night before me and my Dad did in Tulsa and they enjoyed it. My other Aunt and my Grandma saw him a week later in Tulsa and they loved it. Both my Dad and my Grandma had already seen him before when he played in Tulsa in 1997. I will always love country music and Garth Brooks. He actually did retire to raise his kids because him and Sandy got a divorce and he got custody of the kids. He moved back to Oklahoma and lived in Owasso which is right outside of Tulsa. The reason why I know that he retired to help raise his kids is because he only did benefit concerts and when he went to Las Vegas he only did his shows on the weekends so he could be home with his kids. He would go shopping in the local Wal-Mart and go to his kids soccer games. My Uncle got to meet and talk with Garth. Garth is such a generous person that one time when he was in Wal-Mart he saw a lady leaving and walking home with her groceries and took her home and helped get her groceries out of the car. The next day he showed up at her house and took her to a used car dealership and bought her a car. He's even helped people at a local Bath and Body store move things into the store. You have your opinion about country music and Garth Brooks and so do I.
