I saw you and billy asking the security to take a photo of you guys in front of the summernats sign right before you guys walked out of the gate to leave on the last day (the sunday). I wanted to come up and say hello and get a photo with the bros but you both looked tired and in a hurry to get out so i left yas alone. I didn't want to be one of those fans that break your balls. Lol. I could tell you both had a big weekend. Next time i will say hello and get a photo with the bros. I was stoked to see you both there mate 👍
Haha no worries mate. The funny thing is i was waiting to see it all day. When it got to 6pm i still had not seen it yet and i was disappointed. Then at like 6:50pm i finally saw it and i was as happy as a pig in sh!t. Lol
My VL Commodore is the same colour as that (Canary yellow) but it's paint job isn't in the same condition as that one anymore,it was more like that 20 years ago. It's still fitted with the Nissan RB30DE which my brother & I fitted into it 20 years ago,I built it using Nissan RB25DE & Nissan RB30E engine parts so the engine block,rods & crankshaft are all RB30E parts,the rest are RB25DE parts including the cylinder head, pistons part of the wiring loom (1/2 of its is the Holden ECU wiring harness) the other half is the Nissan R33 Skyline GTS wiring harness. I wonder if I should run that engine in NA form using a Haltec ECU for better tuning,it was keeping up to the later model 210 kilowatt DOHC Ford Falcons 16 years ago as well as the 185 kilowatt VR SS 5 litre V8 Holden Commodores. 2 things that I need to restore it is 1. A different location because my parents place is too crowded now & 2. I need decent employment,my labour hire employer finished me up at Downer in the Newcastle area here in NSW 6 months ago & no one has wanted to employ me since. I'm surprised that one of the largest aluminium smelters have employed me,I'm a bit worried they have General Motors who just thought that I'm a May who likes a Mitsubishi!
I'm sure in time to come he'll have it sorted. 2 weeks ago it looked like it was not even close to being running, let alone driving. He achieved his goal of getting it running and driving at summernats and he was having a ball going by the look on his face
