For everyone who wants to know, this is a compilation of videos that Halsey posted to explain (and dramatize) one of her boyfriend experiences. The Hurricane video is the first one and it shows a young Halsey and her then boyfriend having fun with four of their friends in a Motel. The six of them play "spin the bottle," and Halsey's boyfriend has to use the restroom. He comes out of the bathroom to find Halsey kissing one of his friends. He then is really upset and the pink-haired girl comes to comfort him. The two of them then go to "Room 93" and sleep with each other with Halsey wondering what happened to her boyfriend. The pink-haired girl writes "Never Forget Summer '97" on the bedpost in the morning. In Ghost (Room 93 version) Halsey and her boyfriend revisit the motel. They are having fun recounting their memories, when Halsey sees the "Never Forget Summer '97" and connects where her boyfriend was that night. She confronts him about it and he leaves her. She then takes pills and falls unconscious when her boyfriend finds her and calls 911. He gets arrested and she is sent to the emergency room. Then in the official Ghost video, Halsey goes to Japan and meets the pink-headed girl there. She then goes through ups and downs with the pink-haired girl and eventually falls in love with her. (Just in case you wanted to know).

However, from my understanding, she was from a family who lived in a small town in NJ that is pretty much bumblefuck middle of nowhere, even more than my hometown which he went to school at. If you were in the fandom at that time you would have know that there was a whole lot of drama because she would brag about it, So people sent her hate. Just because their voices sound alike and they have the same title, doesn't mean anything. Halseys lyrics has a very strong meaning, and she went for a very different beat/tune

+Kayla Marie Lets put it this way. I fucking love Lorde, to the point where I have usually listened to her music one to three hours a day for about one and a half year. Somehow I found Halsey (Not quite sure how, she doesn't get radio time or any recognition here in Sweden, but that's beside the point. I found Halsey and started listening to it because it had a very similar sound and style. To this day I still love both of them cause they are two of the few artists I really enjoy listening to and I think it's quite cool that they both make very similar music since it isn't so generic. That's why I compare the two artists, not because I'll say which one I prefer or which one's the coolest or whatever. I just firmly believe that the two should be compared because this type of music is finally arising.
Not sure if anyone will understand any of that but at least i tried.

the story:
In Hurricane it's a younger halsey and a boy she fell in loved with.
Sparks fly between, they go to a hotel together with a group of friends. They lying with bed together while the rest of their friends are on the floor playing spin the bottle. The love interest leave to go the bathroom, so young halsey joins the game and she gets chosen and he walks out and see young halsey kissing one of his friends she regrets it automatically. Then he outside smoking outside her pink haired friend go out to get lucky and he gives in they go the bed while everyone is sleeping. Halsey wakes up as her friend is lying next to halsey love interest and writing something on the wall. Someone comes in they got caught and run. In ghost it's halsey older with her love interest and they're still together and she sees a motel and goes in with him. Not knowing what room it is. They're lying in bed and she sees the writing on the wall and gets a flashback. She starts a fight with probably like" It didn't mean anything" she like "oh really!" and he leans in to kiss her basically telling her to shutup and drop it. She gets more angry and slaps him. He' "done" and leave the motel and she begged him to stay he didn't listen and she runs with bathroom ad locks it. She's full of a hurricane of emotions (anger, sadness, guilt, sham) she overdoses and he comes back into the motel begging for her to come out and she doesn't he finally unlocks the door and sh's unconscious and he carries her to the bed and then calls 911 begging for her to wake up and lays with her till the police and ambulance arrive and hes arrested but shes still alive.

I get it now Ghost by Halsey is about to me in my experience she is referring to the person she once loved but now that person is gone so she finds them in every person that doesn’t care for her just like “her ghost” did to her.
Everyone's complaining about how she "flipped and overdosed" when she read the 'summer 97.' I think the overdose sprouted from a deeper pit of self hatred, which was brought up again by seeing this message. Almost as if this message reminded her that she wasn't important, or was always a second choice. Also, keep in mind Ashley has bipolar disorder, so a buildup of smaller issues could lead to a big breakout.

Basically Halsey explains the EP is like called Room 93 because she loves the intimacy of hotel rooms and basically thinks lots of experiences for different people can happen. So what if we are the ones getting tricked here? Like what if the Hurricane video is absolutely nothing to do with this video but it's just explaining that so many things have happened in this one room , it's just one room but it's had many different meanings. Different environments.
She can't be fighting with the guy because of what is written on the bed because herself and that guy weren't even in the Hurricane video. So what I'm saying is , maybe it's just a representation of what the songs mean with a video - maybe it doesn't add up but in sense it does a little bit.

the pink haired girl slept with haley's boyfriend in hurricane, Halsey finds out in ghost room 93, she attempts to suicide, her boyfriend is arrested while she's in some magical mid-life, mid-death limbo, the medical team saves her, she remembers what happens, and in ghost Halsey calls the pink haired girl up, asks her to be lesbian for her, and they move out to Tokyo. and then pink hair girl somehow becomes asian. and then leaves formerly-blonde haired, blue haired Halsey because pink haired girl realizes she aint down for that.
This is so wrong badlands and room 93 are completely different. Room 93 was a story type album and badlands is more of a concept based album.
