Interesting to hear about Sullas lieutenants that brought him to power.

Well, given Murena's performance in the 2nd war against Mithridates winning him a triumph now they sound much plausible Pompey's continuous requests to Sulla for a triumph for himself despite having accomplished very little yet.

You said the second punic war instead of the second mithridatic war at the beginning of the video other than that it was great love to hear about the poison king

We need more of the historic tactics when dealing with corruption today. Bellum romanum

Nice to listen about a figure during the decline of the Roman Republic whilst the American Republic is following a similar trajectory

Meu nome é André Murena,e meus ancestrais viveram da Itália.
Será que Lucius é meu ancestral?Bem provável.
    Legal né?

Murena was responsible for a disaster 2/3 as bad as Varus' and was rewarded with a triumph.
    It's a bizarre story.
    Sulla was a strange person.

This is the most never discussed WHAT IF. If mithradates Vi had beat Rome they would have founded a new religion based on him and wed all be worshipping mithras prolly. If he had won the Mithraic wars he would have been more or less In Charge of Greece, Turkey, closely allied with Armenia, and the black sea pirates of which there 10,000s pretty decent EMpire/Hegemony he would have built. Plus he fit all of the signs to be the Mithraic messiah (born on 25th of dec, comet when he was born was seen, some other things i forgot) and if he had become a real life savior from Rome phew game over. Underated guy was even smart enough to get retired roman veterans to start training his own legions when he realized they were the future. I read on book on him called the poison king lots of great info
