At Riverside, they do have this note and bells going down to two semitones lower. The problem, in terms of carillon music, is that the bells keep sounding long after the music has passed them by. Dampers help alleviate this.
@@Bronzeagleye Yeah I just realized. I went to riverside two weeks ago for a tour and the carillon started and I suddenly heard one of the larger bells in this very note starting the concert off lol
this bell is right at heart in Philly, nowhere else.
This big bell rings at Noon inside the PNB Buliding which is located next to Philadelphia City Hall.

@@Bronzeagleye The low 'D' bell at Riverside is sharper than the Wanamaker bell. This was tuned to D at A=435. Riverside is around A=446.
