The 900 is club standard, great sound-card, awesome mixer. But any dj who have this hiphop style of mixing (scratch, doubles, juggle, remix on the spot…) will probably use serato and will really perform, be creative with a S9-S11. What R-tistic probably meant with the EDM comparison is that EDM djs usually blend and use filters/echo and dont need much more out of a good mixer like the 900.
That whole mixer debate was gettin’ ridiculous! Yeah sure 900 was/is the club standard and so used by ALL. Specially few years back when S9/11 weren’t out yet. Now would edm djs pick 900 over S9/11? Sure. Then what about hip hop djs? I think many would go with S9(if the sound wasn’t a problem)/11. By that definition some might view or say 900 is edm mixer and S9/11 hip hop one. Or in better words 900 preferred by edm djs and so on.. You get the point. No need to bore viewers circling around the debate for 15min or some.

Crooked got hurt because he felt you were saying he's not hip hop because hes been using the 900. Literally battle mixers S9 and S11 are made for hip hop (thats why they are named battle mixers) the 900 is EDM ish, but can be used for hip hop. But rather.... rather for hip hop is a battle mixer.

I used to own the 900 nexus and a pair of cdjs as well and I always preferred turntables over the cdjs. Now that controllers are a thing, I hate it, because that made everyone a DJ and stems made it worse cuz we have everyone on the new Rev5 making all these wack ass blends 🤦🏻♂️
