Very nice! I have played with a few instant water heaters in the past. As with most things, you get what you pay for. Temperature control on the cheaper ones is usually lacking and they never seem to have enough power. 36kw is kick ass👍

Its definently nice to have. It was a little more than i was planning on when i bought it. Needed to research a bit more but it all worked out and now we have plenty of hot water. I think they should make lp ones for campers! Thanks for commenting!

i installed my Rheem pro-pain 7.5gpm last years and have never been happier with the outcome. cost me about 1000$ after install.
You need to flush it ever year or 2 with vinegar or a cleaner of some kinds also.

Yea im not sure what the cost difference would be as far as the bill goes. Ours rarely runs at full power. We dont run at full gpm or highest temp. I definently like endless hot water... thanks for commenting!!

@307j.o.a.t9 how many kw was that unit and ya after a cple of months you should get an idea of how much it costs. We used to run like $25 during the summer months (8moths)and $50 to $60(the highest with gas) after the electric was installed avg was like $100 to $130 😢

Ours was 36kw. I havent asked the wife what our difference was. We have even pay set up so they average our last years bills then divide it for each months bill. We have a hot tub too so our elec bill is pretty high plus in the winter we have 2 diesel trucks that have block heaters and livestock water tanks that need tank heaters so they dont freeze.

240v hot water tank would be better. but you can get a propane tank on the side of the house. you just need to get it filled every 6 months.
Or...... I would get an outdoor Hydronic Boiller. You can heat the entire house and add a indirect hot water tank.
I would also assume that well water is killing those ondemand water heaters. you want to flush them yearly.

Well you have a lot of advice for sure. A tank water heater would suck because we like to fill our hot tub with hot water in the winter when its -20 so it doesnt take e days to heat back up and if we run the dishwasher or someone takes a shower we dont want to wait an hour to use hot water. Propane isnt an option due to the fact that the way our house and property is set up theres not a good place for a tank. And i dont want to pay rent on a tank for life. Then the plumbing to get the line to the house, equipmsnt to trench etc the cost would be way higher. An outdoor boiler is $10k plus trenching plumbing then to heat the house i would need to run radiant heat pipes under the floor so i would be $15K min into that. All those options would also take a lot of time that we wouldnt have hot water. Yea there is maintenance with this as there is with all oprions you so knowingly suggeated. You do sound like you know it all and i really messed up with my choice but thats definently not the case. Thanks for the suggestions though.

I don’t see any advantage to these. If there’s a power outage with a tank water heater you still get a hot shower. Would take a massive generator to run that 36kw too.

Hmmm... never thought of that.... if theres a power outage we will only have running water till the pressure tank loses pressure so we would be out of water pretty quick hot or cold. Thanks for commenting.
