Jack Of All Trades. A little bit of everything....from cutting trees to doing mechanic work on vehicles saws and small engines to working on home construction and remodel. I do a lot of outdoor activities from hunting and fishing to watching wildlife and camping. A few days a year I also day ride for a couple ranches just to help out friends of mine. I work nights 8 days on and have 6 days off and am usually really busy when I'm on days off. I have down time at work which allows me to work on editing and keep up with some of the channels I subscribe to. Thanks for stopping by and watching some of what I do!!!

How to fix a Christmas Tree... #shorts #307 #wyo #wyoming
Howdy Brother Travis- so good to see you again. I really like your system for working up firewood. I have always cut and split everything right where I fall the trees but this year I pulled the trunks out of the woods and worked it up. Seems to be a bit easier. Still have to go back and pull the tops out. Kinda hard getting the tractor around through the woods because they are so dense. Hope y’all are doing well out there and staying warm. Merry Christmas and God bless y’all
Hi Paul! Thank you. It works pretty good. Weve done it many different ways. We are doin good. It hasnt been really cold yet. Merry Christmas to you and yours!!
You need a jazzy wheel chair motor it will work great !
I have a video of putting wheel chair motor on it. Takes a little but i got it. Thanks for stoppin by and commenting!
And your controller will work the variable speed then and get limited switches on each side of your mill to shut it off at the end of the track! I'm working on mine too , I'm also putting a safety kill switch on it for emergency shut down , good luck I hope I've helped I'm learning a lot too! Lol. Take care my brother Robert Alabama
@roberttidmore647 i didnt put limit switches on it. I had to add another battery for the 24V wheelchair system. Fabbed a bracket to hold both motors b/c the computer wont run unless both motors were plugged in.
How did you get around the ventilation issue? Gas vapors can burst a 55 gallon metal drum, if any sunlight hits it. But if you leave an open hole in it, it evaporates out pretty fast.
Didnt get around it. I havent used it so not sure if it would be an issue. I will take your word that it is. I did put some fuel in it after i got it set up and come to think of it it may still be in there. I will keep it in mind if i do fill it and make sure to put a check vent in it. Thanks for the comment.
My 026 was doing exactly the same thing due to the spring having lost the proper shape. The air filter cover is difficult to put on and I probably bent it when I put the cover on with the lever in the wrong position. Like many I find the 026 tough to work on. Once I figured out that the underside of the spring needed to make contact with the ground wire I was able to adjust the spring so the hook on the end of the spring (with pliers) to hit all of the proper places on the plastic lever for choke, run, and kill. Lots of trial and error, but I prevailed. Thanks you for helping me isolate the problem and fix it.
Glad you were able to get it dialed in. They can be a pain. The fuel line is another thing ya have to be aware of when putting the filter on. It can loop up and get pinched. Theyre good saws when theyre dialed in though.
what grinder do you use?
I replaced mine but now I cant get it to run
Hmmm.... wheres ur screws set at?
All the way in. Then 1 and a half out
Thats pretty rich. I usually start at about 1 to 1⅛ out. Will it start at all?
Thanks
Youre welcome!
Very helpful video! I am currently trying to take my brake handle off as well, but I’m learning what all tools I need. May I ask what I need to unscrew and remove the bar itself? Not sure what it is!
The guide bar has 2 nuts on the clutch cover (rh side). I believe they are ½in or 13mm. Also need a flat screw driver to tension/loosen the chain. Is that the bar you are asking about?
@@307j.o.a.t9 thank you so much! I am just removing my brake handle, but I am still learning about identify certain tools. Trying to educate myself, lol! I was stumped on what you used to unscrew and remove the actual handle itself! I’ll have to get those tools and remove the handle! Thank you so much for your help!
I would have to check on the saw to verify but im sure the screw on the brale handle is a 4mm allen. There is a tool called a skwrench that is used for bar nuts, spark plug and flat head screw driver on the end. Is your chain brake handle broke?
Thank you I was stranded and this saved me. The same exact fuse
Awesome! Glad it got ya out of a bind. You will have to find whats causing it to blow if ya havent already. Mine was the vacuum pump. Thanks for commenting!!
@@307j.o.a.t9 the overdrive switch popped off the shifter and the wires shorted. Strange thing to happen. Thanks again and I like the way you test fuses. Much faster than pulling them out and looking at them .
Oh that will do it. Thanks.... yea it sucks to pull fuses.
Good job! Did you use the right hand motor or the left hand motor to drive the mill?
I dont remember exactly. Id have to go back and watch the video.
Thanks for the help!!! Even 4 years later!
No problem! Glad it came in handy!
How has the square jig worked out for you worth the money?
I think its definently worth the money. Square ground chain is so much better falling and in clean environments and the square jig is an economical way to keep it sharp. I plan on doing some more vids on it. All the people i know that use it think it works well.
Very nice! I have played with a few instant water heaters in the past. As with most things, you get what you pay for. Temperature control on the cheaper ones is usually lacking and they never seem to have enough power. 36kw is kick ass👍
Its definently nice to have. It was a little more than i was planning on when i bought it. Needed to research a bit more but it all worked out and now we have plenty of hot water. I think they should make lp ones for campers! Thanks for commenting!
Woo hoo!!!
Looked like a good day
It was awesome up there!
That thang sounded mean 👍 Safe travels to you and Paula 🤗

@@307j.o.a.t9 about tge same buddy. Hope you have a great trip. Be safe brother
Howdy Brother Travis- nice build on the saw. I would never attempt doing what you did. I don’t have the patience for that. Hope y’all have a good time up to. Take care and God bless
Hi Paul! Thanks. Theyre not too hard to rebuild. Hope alls well with you and yours.
Nice build buddy. Cant wait to see yall. Be safe and god bless
Thanks! Yea we will be on our way in a week!
I put that same setup on morgans 2150 made a strong lil saw
Nice! Yea it will be a good saw for Paula. Needs a muffler mod and maybe a little shaved off the exhaust. I might have that 2150... he gave me a built 2150.
Next time put a long extension on your seal driving socket , you'll have room for your hand and it drives from the center so the seal will be straight.
Good idea! Thanks for the advice! Appreciate it!
Them intake are junk
Yea stupid way to do it for sure!
is that rod knock?
No its a diesel motor.
That's awesome! That power feed setup is pretty slick!
Thanls buddy. Good to hear from ya! Hope alls well!
@@307j.o.a.t9 Hey Travis yea all is good here same old thing just chasing that welding work.
Thats good.
does it get a outer seal ?
Been a few years since ive worked on that. No theres no outer seal. The grease in the bearing amd the inner seal is supposed to keep the gear oil sealed in the diff. I used silicone sealant when i bolted the axle to the tube. I also drilled amd threaded a grease zerk so i could add grease between the inner seal and bearing race after installing the axle. Thanks for commenting. Hope it helps.
I guess I put my comment in the wrong place 😅😅
Lol thats alright. I read them anywhere ya put them.
Howdy Brother Travis- good to see you back on the sawmill again. Love watching you saw. I guess for now I’ll just keep pushing my mill. Took some leftover Timbers home and milled all the sub jambs out. Felt good to be sawing again. Take care and God’s blessings to y’all
Good to see ya Paul! If pushing wprls keep it up lol. Thats cool you got to mill the jambs.. Thanks for all the support! STAY SAFE!!
Saw your lovely home in the background. Did you build that yourself? Hope you and your family had a blessed Easter 🤗

Like to see the mill running again, be nice to see you again at Taz’s
Yea i enjoy running it. I cant wait to be at tazapalooza amd see you too!
The 335xp is why I went to stihl chainsaws. The junk saws would die in the middle of a cut up in the trees. But I will say they are tough, I threw one 35 feet out of a tree and it still ran, it keeping them running is the problem. I had 2 of them and the same issues that was years ago and 800 buck what a waste, even the dealer couldn’t make any more excuses after 7 times of complaints. I will say stihl saws have better longevity too, maybe cause I haven’t yet chucked one out of a tree.
Idk of id say one is better than another. I have both and have good and bad experiences with both. Def not a fan of the 450 and 455 xtorqs but theyre not a pro saw either. I have an ms 261 that give me nothing but issues but have an ms 361 amd 2 660s that are great saws. Thanks for stoppin by and commenting!! STAY SAFE!!

Oh awesome!! Thank you!
I'm on my 2nd LT15. Yeah, the rope pulley system was always stupid. I just push my current LT15 by hand. I like your solution!
Wow.... 2nd one. Thats a lot of lumber to wear out an LT15. Thats awesome! Yea I definently wasn't happy with the rope system. i have a new(er) video adding wheelchair motors to the mill to drive it. Im currently out of logs but hopefully I will get a bunch stockpiled this summer. I'm not sure I could push the mill through most of what I cut. Even with a new blade it struggles to cut some of the logs I put on it. Have to go pretty slow. Thanks for commenting. I missed it and haven't been watching lately. STAY SAFE!!
Old sump oil for bar oil 🤮 Seen it as well. Not good
Yea not a very good option.

Oh cool. Weather is a lot nicer there!!
Good job. I did all the functions on my mill using the same method 3 years ago: ruclips.net/video/lCS6Mdg_z5M/видео.html
Oh awesome! When i put the winch on somebody mentioned in the comments to do this.
I got the idea from a youtube video on a gokart build that needed a reverse gear. Cheap 12v winches like lego blocks; there are no limits to what you can do with them.@@307j.o.a.t9
If you cam get controllers to regulate speed. That was my issue with the atv winch i used. Couldnt find a pentionmeter that would last.
