Just now seeing this video, but thank you. Even with no voice, you managed to make it easy to follow along by going slowly and waving the mouse to show what you're clicking. I, and I'm sure all 4200 who gave this a thumbs up, found this to be very helpful and has already got ideas going through my head. So, again thank you for this You have a new subscriber in me. :)
Just when I thought this is sooo hard visually but wow you make it more easier. Your tutorials are easy to follow with, fresh and sensible. Keep up the good work! Will look forward for moooore~
Anyone already tried following this? From where the Frame Mask Layer comes from? It was there since the beginning of the video. When i to the outline i dont seem to get the same outcome. Wonder if it has to do with that layer. font still filled with back even after doing the outline by command+y (cause i dont have the left click options like on the video)
Apologies. That was Ctrl + Y to toggle off Outline view. Not escape key. I used shape builder tool to eliminate extra things by Holding Alt Key & Drag over those parts.
Make sure you have selected Nothing, then Double Click on Pattern Swatch from Swatches Panel, now pattern edit mode is open. Select the stripes & change color as you like.
On 3:14 I *Drag & Put* Black Solid Shape layer onto New Layer Button at the bottom of layer panel. So that will duplicate the dragged layer instead of creating new blank layer.
it can be done via simple steps draw lines( via pen or via line tool) where you want while selected the lines ,go to object and path-divide object below now divided parts can be patterned we want
Yes. There are ways. Deselect Everything > Double Click on Pattern Swatch from Swatches Panel > Pattern Edit mode will open > Select All the lines > Change stroke color. Or You can do it with second method of "Recolor Artwork". which is more preferred. Because here you can see selected color in realtime while you change from one to another. I'm sure this following video will help you out with it. ruclips.net/video/AbMEt-pXvLY/видео.html
Please add the captions properly. I couldn't understand how you made it even though you made it so easily and quickly. So I had to drop this video because of lack of proper guidance.
Thank you! You're welcome. Isolating objects prevent editing other objects which are not isolated. and It makes the Main Object fully visible to Edit without any interference of other objects. It is like take an object in your Hand, paint it and put it back with others. It is an awesome feature of Adobe Illustrator. I use it all the time. I gave a shortcut key: *Ctrl + i* If you wanna know more of this keyboard shortcuts I use in my workflow, then please watch this video: 15 Illustrator Shortcuts you must use: ruclips.net/video/zkieEFEQ_nw/видео.html
Deselect Everything > Double Click on Pattern Swatch from Swatches Panel > You will enter into Swatch Edit mode > Select those Stripes and change the color. This will help you: ruclips.net/video/AbMEt-pXvLY/видео.html
Yes you can. just *deselect* all. > Open Swatch Panel > Double Click on the White Stripe Swatch > Pattern Editor Mode will open > Select All > Change Color > Click Done at upper left corner of workspace. OR You can also use Recolor Artwork feature. Watch this video for that m.ruclips.net/video/AbMEt-pXvLY/видео.html
Hello Vector Slate! Is there a way to like individualize each of the lines in the pattern as its own object? I wanted to give different colors for each of the lines. Please reply. Thank you very much.
Yes. You can do that by clicking "Expand Appearance" from Object Menu. Maybe You'll need to do that twice to get it done. After that this won't be a pattern swatch anymore.
Now click on "Expand". Right above Expand Appearance. You will see every lines turned into strokes. toggle Ctrl+Y to see in Outlined View for better understanding.
