LG is so confusing, the washer and dryer both have steam functions with cryptic names and no explanation what each one does and when to use them.

My steam stopped working
I have had 2 lg steam dryers and my mom has a even better lg dryer with the steam option...none of them work correctly at all...it sprays a cold mist and when the cycle is done the close are damp...dont fall for this

Yes thats how water will enter in to make steam just use a Y connector
