I bought my WM2550 2 years ago,and I have saved over 60 dollars a month in electric. I did a lot of research before I spent all the money on them and I am very happy with my product. Granted I am not a pig and do not have overly dirty clothes. I have since bought a microwave.. a 55" 3d tv... a 32" TV and soon a french door fridge. To me there is LG and then there is everyone else. The product is just made better with innovation that no other company is offering.
I had my first lg 7kg intello washer back in 2002! When I was 18! Was very good on electricity back then. And 20 years later I have purchased another one and it’s still just as good as the old one and also better to! I also have a lg HD tv to and that’s been faithful to :) totally agree with you’re comment. Lg all the way…

My mum bought an LG washing machine in 2006 (don't know the model), and she still has it and it works just as well as the day she bought it, the only thing she had to have done to it was the seal around door had gone and started to leak, but that's to be expected seeing as she'd had it 6 years at this point, it was easily repaired! Best machines there is, kind of wish I had one but I can't afford one! So I've gone with an indesit! :)

Yeah i just saw the working of DD washing machine and its construction in video. It looks good and may be durable with less maintenance comparing to Belt Driven Method. I appreciate the technology. I wanna know more about the DIGITAL ELECTRONIC CONTROL PANEL BOARD. Because this the one of the most costly and expensive part of the machine. Thank you.

Yep they had them back in the late 80s, and honestly they did a much better implementation of it anyways compared to LG and Samsung's versions

@MrSwifty2 Have you checked with a level that your washing machine is level. *bubble between the center lines*, The unit is stable. *try to rock the unit from opposite corners*. Is your floor very sturdy? if your floor has some flex you will get quite a bit of vibration whether it's a direct drive or belt drive. Even if it was stable when you first installed it check it again. The floor and unit may have settled a bit. Hope that helps. :>)
We have LG -Inverter Direct Drive 6Kg - Model:F1256NDP in this model we can use for laundry purpose or Dry Cleaning purpose. Help me out.
I have one LG DD 7kg Fully automatic W/M. It has PCB problem. Is it available now?
I dont think Bosch makes full sized laundry products anymore. Dont know why. Because my set works great. Only problem you cant wash bulky bed spreads as in video. I suspect that is a Bosch WM shown in video. I have to use my Fisher & Paykel top load for that.

The bearings have just gone on my model. Bought it brand new in 2008. Never had any problems with it. Is it worth getting the bearings done or should I just get a new washing machine? Please help, ASAP! Thanks 🙏
Replace the bearings. $140 yourself or $600 for the repair man.

I think the 10 year warranty on the direct drive system is kinda a gimmick considering that it doesn't cover the rotor hub or hall sensor
The direct drive spining is quiet but that water valve is like bum bum bum bum when is open and close. It shove all the quietness away with that valve that opens dozens of times on a load wash.

What most people don't realize is that if you live in Canada LG will not sell you parts to repair their appliances. Even if you order from main distributors from the U.S. they won't ship them to you. They force you to pay extremely high labour cost by using their so called qualified repair techs. I have learned my lesson as my LG front load machine sounds like a jet airplane taking off and if I had to hire someone to repair it - it would be more than the machine is worth. So basically they work on a disposable purchase program.
Aikidobear129 This is not totally true, you just need to find a authorized LG dealer and this could be hard to find. We sell LG parts as we are a authorized LG Dealer located in Surrey, BC.
New Country Appliances Well that's good to know as I spoke right with LG Canada and they refused to sell me parts. Dealers are authorized to sell you appliances and do the repair for you but from what they told me parts are unavailable. I personally will never purchase anything from LG again.

"2001, LG introduced Direct Drive technology" That's not correct. Fisher and Paykel were doing it way back in the late 80s with their top loaders. In fact, they were one of the first companies to use a directly attached BLDC motor on the bottom of the drum. Meh, LG washers still don't clean well anyways

I hwve one of these machines and they are good BUT frecently6 the plastic Drum paddle (Lifter) I purchased a new on4 BUT there is not sufficient room to allow the paddle to slot into the fixing point. This appears to be bad design on behalf of LG. I would not buyt an LG again. because of this flaw in the design

The problem with front loaders is not the motor, it's the basket bearings !!!!! DD or belt drive...

I love the lg machines there so good 👍🏻 purchased two of you’re machines now in the last 20 years! my very first brand new machine when I was 18 yrs old an lg intello washer 7kg it was so modern and quiet back in 2002 when I had it and lasted a long time after that until the drum went at about 8/9 years old. I have had many more since then all ages and names models. But last week I had a very good price on a brand new FH4U2 stainless steel range doesn’t have the steam so had it a lot cheaper than then the newer models with steam! But has the turbowash ThinQ etc I love it anyway and wouldn’t use steam hardly… just as quiet as my old one and still plays a song at the end (that was the best bit back in 2002 when it done that 😅) and still is 😂 these are the best at a affordable price I think personally although not cheap. When this dies I’ll have another lg but do hope that won’t be for a long time yet… 🙂
Lg you should redesign that valve and aend a technician and change it to my house. Otherwise i will not bui an Lg anymore and tell my friends also.

lg technology is great.. to bad the product is crap. if you want to spend a grand on a washer and have it last more than 6 years, get an ISE or a Miele. LG steps their game up and Id buy this. till then, ISE it is.
Macht mal lieber vernünftige Trommel-Wellen-Lager - so, wie MIELE es macht! Kann doch nicht so schwer sein! Was nützt es, wenn das Ding Direkt Drive hat und die Kugellager dennoch, nach max . 3 Jahren, durch sind, sodass die Maschine weggeschmissen werden muss, WEIL MAN DIE KUGELLAGER NICHT WECHSELN KANN! Folge: Man muss eine elektrisch, elektronisch und hydraulisch komplett intakte Maschine wegschmeissen, weil ein einziges Kugellager (Preis 12€) kaputt ist!
+Otto Stierlitz - als ich mir vor 6 Jahren ein Top-Gerät von LG zugelegt habe, hatte ich auch die Befürchtung das so etwas eintrifft, dabei ist es aber geblieben, sie läuft noch immer wie am ersten Tag.

You know what? I bought a direct drive lg and from first time use i wanted to take it back. I don't know who was the designer technician but he didn't have no clue regarding the water opening valve. During one load that valve i think is opening dozens of times if not hundred of times. The open and close is suddenly. pressure being on the pipe and hose is shaking the pipes in all house. That noise is transferred in all house on this north American houses with drywall. Is outrages what you guys did. Why they didn't made that valve to open gradually. ? And why it opens so many times. If i can give a score from 1 to 10 that will be a 1 minus on this thing. Lg Shame on you because of that stupid valve
petru cioci Its not 100s of times. Don't exaggerate! My LG does the same thing with opening and closing a few times. It's no big deal as it does it at the beginning of the cycle. I have drywall too and it transfers. But it works well. I recommend anyone to get turning down their tap to the washer to try and reduce the noise.

Just buy a water dampener and your problem is solved. It is because modern washing machines have magnetic valves.
you are getting water hammer > this is cause by most control valves. Toss in a water hammer arrester and you will be fine.

How are the new Duet washers today compared to the older style ones? Are they more reliable? More durable? Not sure I want to trust LG if I go to an HE front load washer. I've already pretty much decided I don't want to piss with the HE top load impeller types,...too many mixed reviews no matter the brand,especially with LG and Samsung.

This is european @Whirlpoolz They make good machines in places other then the US and Canada. MY LG WM2277HW is 13 years old with the spider and bearing Replaced. MY Aunt's WM1832CW is 16 years old NO repairs
