Pura Vida Mae 🤙 This trip looks incredible 😍 What a fun adventure! Sign us up 👍 You guys saw so many animals! We will have to visit Costa again soon. Perfectly paced and beautiful B-roll! Well done 👊
Fantastic Video…..I love how you guys keep the action going in ALL your videos……there is never a dull moment……Kudos for climbing in that tree root…..I would never have done that OR walked across that river with snakes and crocs…….cant wait to see more!!!
I’d love to see a video, or video series of the entire planning process for these trips; how do you find these places, how do you book the cars and boats, how do find the best places to stay, etc
Planning for this sort of thing is a nightmare! It took months to plan an itinerary for 3 weeks to costa rica! Best bet is to print out a map, start from the airport, make a list of what you want to do and then do lots of research! Plan the route wisely but be prepared to change your plans 😊 Facebook groups are a God send! Found so many tips and lots of information on do's and don't's/what to pack etc. RUclips videos are also an amazing source of info. As soon as you get some ideas, it all just seems to fall into place 😊
Definitely the kind of tourism that I like, far from roads malls, casinos, bars and night life, just nature with no natural ingredients, and a few bug bites, it comes with the territory !! that is what I call far from the madding crowd !!! Pura vida !! and kudos on your excellent video and small adventure.
Didn't know people were killing Tapir's to eat them! Thought they were endangered just due to habitat loss. hopefully the population recovers. This whole rain forest safari adventure is really cool, awesome to see animals in their natural habitat.
OMG Anouk did you go on the Kinabatangan River tour and the Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary? We actually did that in 2019 and still have a video on it in our Malaysia series. Maybe it will bring back some great memories. Malaysia is still one of the best countries we have ever visited! Thanks so much for watching we are glad you loved it
Awesome! This video brings back memories from my trip in 2013! We actually drove in as far as we could with our guide from puerto jimenez in our own rental car, then did the brutal 6 hour hike to la sirena. Probably worth the 400$ extra you spent on those boat rides which get you directly to la sirena. I was so sad we didn't see the puma on one of our hikes.
I'm glad you guys got to go there and make a video for us because I have zero intention to ever visit an insect infested place like CR. Nice vide though. Thanks!
@@MrSupernova111 ohh poor stupid guy who thinks that all CR is a jungle. Definitively it was the best decision to invest in books instead of guns. There are other countries with army and dumb people just watching RUclips videos. 😊
I've done a few of these in the Amazon and if you go all that way I think it is totally worth budgeting for a multi-day guided tour, even finding the nicest one. Especially if it supports local guides and parks.
Tapir's are also seen in the tropical rainforests of Malaysia. Its a protected animal here. Also in Malaysia, primary rainforests are mosquito free, while secondary are not.
Me and my woman are definitely doing a Day Hike there next time we go!! We went in April and it was easily the most rain I’ve ever seen in my life!! I remember when El Niño hit the San Francisco Bay Area and the rain we seen in Costa Rica probably would have evacuated the SF Bay Area lmao. The rain was so cool to see though. We loved the food down in Costa Rica but I was completely tired of eating plantains lol.
Love this video and your energy! ❤ As someone who has worked on New World monkeys (in Peru) I must clarify that 1) capuchin monkeys are not the only carnivores - insects are a regular part of the diet of a lot of monkeys in Costa Rica and capuchins actually eat a lot more fruits compared to squirrel monkeys for example (squirrel monkeys eat a lot of leaves and arthropods while fruits and flowers come as a secondary choice usually). I mention this because capuchins are actually major fruit dispensers in these forests and this is often underappreciated. 2) eating chickens (no less cuter than tapir) is also problematic as raising animals requires a lot of land and resources. This is especially problematic in these biodiversity hotspots. There's a lot of research on the horrible effects eating meat has on biodiversity! Great you guys are veggie, though :)
With 30 yrs experience here on the Osa. The best trip is to come to Puerto Jimenez hike the 20k to the Rangers station. Or boat in from Jimenez and walk out the 20k. Avoid drake bay to many tourists.
plz keep vlogging the entire trip like u did in phillipines nd indonesia.....seeing vlogs like tht is better and more enjoyable as u share each nd every detail🤗🤗
If I want to go on the tour but I'm a solo traveler can I join a group when I get there..is my dream to visit Costa Rica and Corcovado is the first place I want to visit. And how do you get from San Jose to Sierpe to Drake??
Thanks for all the beautiful videos guys ! 🦋😊 Can you please send me the link of the nice sheets that you was promoting few months ago ? 🙏🏼 Thanks by advance !
If I had to choose a highlight for this video I'd say the lady screaming in the night and the fact that she was dreaming about a Puma, too wild for her 😂 I'm from Costa Rica and loved every second of this video.. and thank you for clarifying on Instagram that we are not an island🤦🏽♀️haha Pura vida!! ✌️
What's the wildlife like compared to La Amistad? It looks okay but that's just an absurd amount to pay and you're still sleeping in the ranger station not even in the forest.
6:55 if a snake was swimming on the river, you would be able to easily see it at the surface of the water, even from the distance. Boas don’t represent a threat to humans.
$600 for 3 days.. Good Lord that's expensive.... If you go as family that will drain your pocket!! I'm sure you can see this wildlife in other parts of Costa Rica for less money
You are using the drone in areas prohibited for its use, in Costa Rica it is completely prohibited in national parks as well as in areas near airports and in Sierpe and Drake bay you have an airport, It is very good that you want to make a video about it but it is very important respect the rules for nature conservation and not disturb the animals and for safety.
Corcovado, which means "hunchback" in Portuguese, is a mountain in central Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is a 710-metre granite peak located in the Tijuca Forest, a national park. Corcovado hill lies just west of the city center but is wholly within the city limits and visible from great distances.
The lady said a stupid thing: "just don't eat meat." Think about it... in the USA we eat a lot of meat, especially chickens, pigs, cattle, etc.... and these species are no where near extinct! Why? Exactly because we eat them --- other people raise them! Hello! Same with fish: we eat a lot of salmon.... so people raise salmon! If she doesn't want to eat meat that is her decision.... me, age 83.... have eaten meat all my life, but less in WWII.
and funny how the full video was perfect with nice views, nice animals, plenty information, etc and your comment is only about something "negative" that you think is stupid 🤔 you were watching how beauty life is for 15 minutes and then you remember World War II? WTF bro thanks God we don't have an army in Costa Rica so we don't have those traumas, hope u get better... "lucky the costarican mother who knows when her son grows up he is not going to be a soldier" love from Costa Rica 🇨🇷
@@TEN-perez just telling the truth..... amazing here in Florida... lots of Mexican / Spanish people... and the kids are almost always much taller than their moms and dads.... why?..... their American diet of meat! Think about it. Truth is hard to accept. Don't eat meat a really dumb idea.
@@ernie7065 in most countries kids end being taller than their parents, is not about meat, is about a healthy and balanced diet. If you say american diet then must include tons of obese people that love all that american junk food that kills themselves.
Costa Rica is at the top of our bucket list!

Thanks for sharing this wonderful video n also thanks for sharing your experience in d costa rica jungle.
it is cheaper if you go down to Puerto Jimenez and schedule a tour from there, and its also a nice small town
Far better beaches on either side of Drake. Look up Lifeforlife
