Your tuna looks like our Slender tuna here in Cape Town, just our flesh is black/dark purple. (caught in 12.5 degree celcius water) and bled really well.

Thanks buddy - yes the Longtail is a little pinkish to red but better when bleed correctly and fast.. the mac tuna / bonito we get is more black/purple and not as nice on the table as the longtails (Northern Bluefin)

@@LastCastAdventures Ahhhh okay bud yeah our Slender tuna is black/purple meat colour.
Tastes really great on the grill/braai.
It's high in omega oils so no chance of sushi there 😂😂
