Adam got his start on American Idol. He got second place that year, which was a good thing because it allowed him to have more freedom with his career. I'm obsessed with his voice! I love the theatrical aspect because of his background. Simon was unsure when Adam first auditioned (with Bohemian Rhapsody) because Adam was so theatric. His voice is so clear and in control in all registers!

The fact that most of us have the reaction "OH look! the band's all women" really shows how deeply entrenched the music industry (among other businesses, and society and culture in general) is in sexism. It's really messed up when you think about it. It shouldn't make me this happy or cause me to have an emotional reaction to see that a male ally like Adam really did put his money where his mouth is and hire all women writers and female musicians for his current solo project, but it did, and it's necessary to move the needle forward. (but yeah, I'll get off my soap box now, lol). Anyway, it's nice to see more people getting hooked on Adam, because he has been so under appreciated for his talent and his vocal abilities for so long. I've always adored him

You said it - Adam is seriously underrated & generally ignored when it comes to radio play & music award shows. No matter how technically difficult or how wide the range in a song is, he nails it and does it better than any other male singer today. I think it shows the sad state of the popular music business that so many lesser singers doing boring material that makes no musical or technical demands are regularly in the Top 40 and getting 10 of millions of hits on their videos. I guess we're in an era where whats popular isn't necessarily good and vice versa.
There's also a video from operasinger and -teacher Angelina Kalahari about Superpower. She explains about his falsetto and how technically difficult this song is. She's done a lot of videos and podcasts on his voice.

I agree with you and along with all the Glamberts that Adam is indeed "underrated"! They'res artists today that I think are horrible and yet get all this glory and praise and it's just wrong! The first back up singer with the Blue color in her hair also was with Adam Season 8 and came in 4th place is Allison Iraheta! But basically, Adam Lambert will be an exception, but will not be appreciated until it's too late for his solo. But they will talk about it- because of how groundbreaking it is. You only know half of it, for him IT is not the hits, it's proving a point. His solo career is iconic and historic. I'll leave at that, he just gets to much hate.

What do you know about being a vocal coach? We are too busy WORKING with our professional clients to keep up with everyone. Vocal coaches don't get paid to watch 100's of videos. We get paid the big $$ to help people sing better! Go ahead and try and be a vocal coach and actually make your living doing it. lol

A very stunning performance was Who Wants To Live Forever at the Isle of Wight Festival 2016. Incredibly moving. Was blown away.
