dosen't rly matter for the sake of testing ram if both models are the same. ssd will always be faster, and as i do not think that this model supports NVMe m.2 you are limited to sata 3 speeds no matter what type of ssd you use thus there is no difference between a 2.5 inch ssd and an m.2 ssd.

having more than 8 gb of ram in a non-gaming laptop is usually rare, using 16 gb on a vivobook would likely involve buying a 2x8gb kit of sodimm memory from a vendor like Crucial. cost is ~$50 usd. you can buy a single 8 gb stick to match the 8 gb stick that is already inside the system, but it is reccomended to use two identical sticks of ram for best performance and system stability.
