The almighty patch. One of the most feared and or loved things of fighting games
if anyone was wondering what void is doing at 2:33 it's called a ledge dash or more appropriately GALINT (grounded actionable ledge intangibility) which is what he meant when talking about being blue and invincible getting off ledge
In the early days, it was just called 'ledge dash invincibility'. Since you are intangible though. I guess 'GALINT' is more correct
I know a lot of you guys in the comment sections for previous vids have expressed being on the fence about the game, and honestly as someone who didn't like the first, I love this one. It's been a ton of fun so far with the new mechanics, and it feels a lot better IMO. I cannot recommend it enough. The devs are listening and communicating and while some stuff needs to be ironed out, it's clear they are trying to do just that.
I know a lot of people feel burned about buying the first and it dying so fast, but this one is legitimately worth it and it would be a shame to see it die as fast as the last one because everyone is on the fence. To their credit, at least both games were $20 off retail value.
Not everything we buy will end up working out, but everyone waiting to pick it up to see what the playerbase is gonna look like is killing it because they want to be a part of the playerbase. I implore you, at least try it from someone else and see if you like it.
Looks like a cool game, but almost 60 dollars is just too much to ask for it on the Switch... I get that development on the Switch is more expensive (and bothersome), but then you wanna compete with AAA prices of first party games from Nintendo? I don't think I will buy it anytime soon, specially considering how much fun I have with Smash regularly. If I didn't have a Switch or Smash, I would seriously consider buying it for PC, but I still think it's a bit expensive... Maybe I'll buy it on Steam if it goes on sale
Honestly dont buy it for the switch, that console is straight garbage. Its -40% for black friday on pc (has been for a week)
Tho maybe wait a bit if you play online with friends, I currently am plagued by crashes and getting stuck in loading screens in custom lobbies and so is everyone else I know who tries to use them.
@@lockevalentine997 make sure you and your friends have matching online settings, that crash is generally caused by someone having crossplay on and the other having it off.

I'm worried for Reptar's future. Remember when King K Rool was considered high-top tier in Ultimate? Remember when Light lost to Ganondorf? Heavies naturally fall off as players get better, and it sounds like Reptar will have even bigger nerfs coming his way soon.

I'm kinda glad Lucy, XJ9, or Plankton didn't get touched enough to make it in this video. I don't know for certain what the devs did to them, for all I know, they could've been buffed or untouched.

Reptars still good. Ember is sadly one of the worst. She has a great kit, but everyone else just does what she does, but better.
Some of these nerfs were necessary, but is there no buffs? Why not make more characters some-what decent?

It's really fun. But this is one of those games if you don't stay up on New tech your going to get steamrolled.

Playing on my switch, this game is very laggy for me whether I’m online or offline, it’s not fast like the first one 😮
Was the problem the safety or the cancelability of Granny's side b? Looks like it was a cool combo, and besides I don't reallt know because I haven't gotten the game. I just want good fun combos, that can vary as much as they want.
you can still slime cancel into some sauce. in fact it's more consistent now.

@@oojclops7257 I know it’s petty but I lost all my spark to play when I seen that list. Haven’t picked the game up yet but I’ll give it another chance. Void has a nice tone in his voice that kinda makes me feel like it’ll be ok in the end 🥲

i cant get over the extreme jankyness from the models getting hit a such, althought the vfx look much much better, it still looks sooo stiff
Day one patches aren't uncommon - I think what says the most is that they actually waited rather than forcing it out at launch

You keep talking about I think they wanted to release this before the game was released. The game isn’t released. You were lucky enough to get it early. Copy you need to remember that.

Are they not gonna fix the netcode at all with the game freezing randomly, duplicating the enemy with them being invisible and then crashing? Fix Raphael’s hitboxes being janky af??? 😢
that is a sync issue with crossplay that i've seen once in 70 hours of ranked (also ELO doesn matter) and Raph is just a high tier that has multihits - def should get tuned down some but the hitboxes look fine stop coping

What you call tech skill is actually an easy cheat. How about you beat someone with the tools they give you. What u want? Unlimited roll cancels to win easily?
@@P1X3LAB you're missing the point. roll cancels added an important form of player expression ,and made it so people dont just camp the ledge all the time. it's a common "pro player" L take to promote ledge camping. and when they get punished for it, they get mad because they can't cheese the game anymore.
