I'm happy to see your experience was better than mine. I must've gotten some bad supply... seconds or QC rejections. But there's too many other options out there to gamble or work that hard to find good ones. Im keeping my heirlooms but picking different ones for my kids.

Love seeing these case knives, I have carried a slim line trapper since 1968 ( yellow delrin) Finally lost it replaced with canoes,baby Butterbean ,trapper locks etc

Just recently returned to SMKW again and purchased my first case knife. As well as seeing the new additions to the show room and I’m absolutely amazed how much more has been added as well as being able to see new blades and showroom additions.

Looks like I’m going to be broke with all these new Case knives coming out this year. I’ll be coming to SMKW this May on vacation and it’ll be my first trip there. Can’t wait

@@mauryford5142 I’d be all over an amber bone cv sodbuster. I’m really glad you’re doing more cv blades, my only complaint about kickstarts was not enough cv’s.
I’d love to see a kickstart in the black micarta and brushed bolster and blade!

The Case brushed/satin finished knives always look great. Usually better than mirror polished in my opinion.

I have always dreamt of owning a Case Cheetah, with the arrowhead style emblem, that emblem doubling as a push button, that when pushed flings a long leaf like spring, that snaps the blade, & swing guard open. But all of which came in the box, from Case, as opposed to me himhawing around in the shop, until finally just doing it, & getting the same, if a wee custom results

Just bought the Coperlock “Mini” with “Bermuda Green” bone Jiged handle scales and really like it. Love the “Pocket Worn” feel; have a hard time putting it down.

Some great looking knives there !! But my one question is when will everybody lay off of the assisted knives ?? Assisted has been around for a good while and it’s not been that popular with actual knife people , why is everybody starting to do more of them lately . Just because it’s called kickstart doesn’t make it any more impressive to me than any other assisted knife I don’t care for because it’s assisted .
Hi great video! I am looking forward to the Copperhead, I think Maury is a great spokes-person for Case. I have a couple of reccomendations. One, please make a series of Congress patern knives. Two, please make a series of Italian style Stiletto knives (non automatic) particularly a small 2.75 inch closed one, with a dagger style blade. Just some reccomendations. Thanks!

They should make automatics again. Love my trapperlock assist though.
Hopefully they come sharp. Yes, I'm looking at you Case lazy sharpeners (Tribal locks two of them). My Sway back couldn't cut butter either. I've had some bad hangovers, but Jesus guys.

The case Kickstart is my favorite knife. I just wish they made a version with a longer blade perhaps 3.75 or 4 inch.

Yeah! Cigar stockman, I agree. There’s a Marbles cattle knife on an equal end frame and the one I bought was really great quality.
Anything about the fit & finish which has been subpar? It's great that Case is Made in the Usa, hand crafted, etc. but if the fit & finish from competitors has been superior, the RWB badge can only say so much!🤔
Make more varieties in CV steel. Then I'll carry and buy more Case knives.
Case always has some surprises for us at Blade Show at that is right around the corner!
@@SMKWcom What I would love to score is a trio of Case stockmans in CV steel, 2 5/8, 3 3/8, and 3 7/8, any handle material.
Some great new Case knives there! Going to try to get the Panama Trapper because it is huge and was designed by Tony Bose. However, I have a question after watching this. Is the Case Panama Trapper basically the same knife as the Case Backpocket except that it has two blades instead of one? I have the drop point Case Backpocket and it looks to have the same handle design as the Panama and both were made for the backpocket as was mentioned in this video.
Yes sir! The Backpocket and Panama are the same pattern, just different blade configurations. Like all Tony Bose designed patterns, it is an awesome knife!

I love Case Knives and sitting here with 15 in front of me. I have two with quality issues - one has a long crack in the bone handle and the other sharp rivets, that can take the skin off your finger.
-- I am concerned quality is slipping at Case.

Out of all the vids I checked out I havent seen any fixed blade bushcraft knives wtf!!???
I won’t buy a knife that I won’t carry. What the point? And I have a lot of Case knives!
Just today received my Case Panama knife…WHAT GARBAGE! Gaps all along back springs, skinner blade rubs on liner and is no where near centered obviously. Zero walk and talk on secondary blade. Primary blade wobbles horrible when open. Never saw a Case knife do this before to the extreme. HORRIBLE! Sending right back to dealer and I doubt I’ll ever buy another one in near future.
Rough Ryder Reserve, Case Vault.....I don't like it when knife companies do this. It is one thing to make a knife cost more than another because of the different materials used, but to make them more expensive just because you supposedly used more quality control or is supposedly made better is absolutely self defeating as a brand. If you are going to do this...don't call it CASE, like Toyota does not call itself Lexus, even though people know they are the same company. The "Reserve" or "Vault" branding does not bring up value in the base models, it actually devalues them. Stop it!!!!
